"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."

Absolutely perfect place for an anniversary dinner. The service was spectacular and the food equally delicious. Every bite was worth it!

Great atmosphere. Beautiful facility and presentation. Service was immaculate. I got the swordfish with lobster risotto and asparagus. Fantastic!

I have no problem paying higher prices for good food, but the food was not worth it. We would have been better off just going to a fast food seafood restaurant like Long John's Silver instead. View menu

Excellent service. I ordered the beef tenderloin medium and it came out medium well (nothing pink). I sent it back and it came out medium well again. I accepted it. The server was gracious and accommodating. The beef wasn't very good quality and was over done. I might return, but I wouldn't order beef. They gave me a carrot cake complementary which was delicious.

First time trying this spot and will not be returning. My lady and I ordered the chicken and waffles (which were good) and the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were drastically overcooked and the grits were disgusting. It was so bad we had to return it. We ended up trying the lemon shrimp pasta dish, but that was bland with a weird flavor. We ultimately kept it because we were ready to go at that point. However, the ambiance and service was really good. Jessica was awesome!

First time visiting the Power Light district location. We had a great time. Our servers Nick and Steve were great they were very attentive especially when other large parties arrived they still tended to our 6 top. We came in to celebrate our daughter's birthday and I was happy where our table was in front of the wine display vs some restaurants who seat a party of this size in a dark back corner. The vibe was great and so was the food. The only downside two guests at my table ordered the shrimp cocktail said it tasted not as fresh/still frozen vs what they've eaten at the Leawood location. All in all everything else was great. Staff was very nice and I am looking forward to returning. View menu

I collaborated with Rochelle in Special Events to host a surprise 30th Birthday party with a group of 12 recently at the Bristol KC?s Kauffman Semi-Private Dining Room. I compared restaurants all over KC, and the choice to celebrate my daughter?s special day there delivered more than I could have expected. Rochelle was fabulous, and she made planning this dinner worry-free. She worked with us to decorate the table prior and bring in my daughter?s favorite cake from her favorite bakery for dessert. She created a happy birthday banner on special menus to celebrate the milestone. Our waiter, William, and an assistant were assigned only to us, and they were funny, swift to deliver, all the while...

Not worth it!!! It was my second attempt, well every one deserves a second chance, right? Expensive, and the atmosphere they try to convey does not go with the service at all. Ok let 's start. 0. Tables dirty. Your hands, arms, coat. etc, stick to the surface of the table. Please clean them. Why did I stay? Yes, I changed tables. See intro above. 1. The restaurant is empty (just 3 tables occupied). You 'll understand this later after looking at the pics. 2. Rush service. WHY????. It 's empty. People like restaurants that are busy. Why are you rushing me? 3. Ordered salad. Specifically ask server to hold on my main course. No! I was halfway through my salad and there it was my main getting co...

"We visited the Majestic 5-12-19. Party of 20. Our reservation wasn't ready for 30 long minutes my guests stood and waited- they did give two free appetizer trays for that. The Salmon meal had a HAIR in it, and when we told our waiter he said “ and?” I raised my voice and said theres a 4” hair in my mothers food.... THEN he got her a new plate like it was an inconvenience. THE FOOD was dry, bland and worse than chick filet ..... The salmon was dry and tasteless with a gross sauce on top that wasn’t delectable..The Pasta Tray for $30 was .20 cent of shell pasta under cooked with three tiny cubes of tomato and rotten chards in cheese sauce. Culturally this party was a mix of country people, high class and middle class. They all said the food was absolutely terrible. We spent $800 expecting a treat for these people that came from far away to celebrate my daughters graduation. Most of our food was left uneaten. In addition the down stairs was a great place for my party and it was “ unavailable “ though not used whilst we were there. The way the seats were situated most of our party could not see each other, next time I will search for a place where we can sit to accommodate everyone to visit joke etc.. I did visit the “Affair” a German restaurant.... best food I have ever had! Thats where we should’ve went. And to think they forced 35% gratuity on us..... sickening. Oh and we have several pianist in our group and their piano bar player was not even playing music.... He was just banging away like a 5 yr old. Lol. Comical. I’m sorry Majestic : it’s 1 star for me."
