"My husband and I opted for the four-course prix fixe menu at $135 per person, which turned out to be a great deal and surprisingly well-priced. After enjoying some of the bread, I felt much better. The brioche was presented in a cube shape; while it could have been softer and more buttery inside, it was still enjoyable. For our first courses, we both had the salad. Each chicory leaf was carefully arranged, with slices of celery root and citrus layered in between, creating a perfect bite along with the soft, creamy cheese at the bottom. For the second course, my husband chose the langoustine (an additional $10) while I had the pike dish. The pike quenelles were like delicate fish cakes served with a rich, savory sauce that was divine. The langoustine was also excellent—I highly recommend both. For our third courses, I had the risotto and my husband had veal sweetbreads. The risotto was not traditional risotto but rather potatoes shaped to resemble it. The flavors were good, and the generous serving of caviar added to the dish, but it would have been better if it had been the real thing. My husband’s veal sweetbreads were incredibly tender and flavorful. For our final courses, my husband had quail and I had venison, which was cooked perfectly to medium rare. We both enjoyed our choices immensely. Even though we were quite full, we managed to save room for dessert—a millefeuille topped with cotton candy, which was a fun twist on a classic dessert. Before we left, our server brought us complimentary chocolate truffles. Presented under a cloche, these truffles were shaped like black truffles but filled with raspberry ganache. I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed by Lacroix. The food execution is world-class, the menu is well thought out, and the prices are comparable to other local favorites like Friday Saturday Sunday and Her Place Supper Club. Dining at Lacroix feels like eating at a genuine 2-star Michelin restaurant. We will happily return again and again."

"I ordered 4 ham and cheese sandwiches with all the toppings, two with Swiss cheese and two with yellow American cheese. However, I received all 4 sandwiches with yellow American cheese and turkey instead. This has happened to me on more than 5 occasions. One of the workers, a woman, had a major attitude. They really need to improve their service. All of them should be fired."

"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."

"Always enjoy Cobalt , especially to celebrate a friends birthday. Our outdoor table was great, as was service , but the food was not what We have come to expect . It was a cool day and Tomato soup with mini grill cheese sounded perfect . Grilled cheese was the size of a crouton and the taste of soup was poor . Drinks are always good . Sandwich was ok but everything was cold . Including truffle fries which are our favorite) not on this visit . Hope it improves"

"My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere immediately with the live music playing outside. We ordered several drinks from the bar and they were delicious!! "The food was amazing.! I brought me staff to Hozy’s for our company Christmas dinner. The experience was NOT what I was hoping for. They were out of Prime Rib which we came there to try on a recommendation. Another item in the menu and the cobbler desert. It was only 7pm when we arrived for our reservation. The waitress that served our table that night was very inattentive. We had a reservation. Our table was not set up. Once we were seated it took a good 30min for our waitress to send someone over to bring the rest of our table settings and bring the wine we has ordered when she sat set hello after the hostess seated us. I observed the other server Nd she was very attentive to her tables. No other tables were left unattended but ours. Our waitress only attended to our table after I grabbed her attention and insisted on the bottle of wine we ordered 30min early and complained. I tipped 20% only because it’s the Christmas season, not because of her service. It was very poor."

"what a great restaurant. I always wanted to get in, as it looked like a nice place from the outside and the French menu changed a bit what we usually find in the opposite. we went on a Tuesday for the prix fixe menu, daily for limited hours, but is all day on Tuesdays. my man got the Prix fixes and I just ordered and tempted because I didn't want to eat so much. well, that was my mistake, like the beet and goat cheese starter he had, plus the amazing cream broth with black johannisbeeren dessert (that I might have been a healthy amount of the extra calorie worth. in fact we had both stakfriten and the difference between the size of his and mine was negligible. I will not say that was a cheap meal, but the prix fixe was a good value for absolutely perfect eating. (I will say, although the oysters are not much to write home, but they have no control over how tasty they are. they were fresh and beautifully presented. we didn't even finish the meal before I said I would like to go there in 6 weeks. it is a stylish but irresistible and friendly place to which I cannot wait."

We have been looking for a go-to pizza joint in this area for over a year now, and have stayed away from Master Pizza since it is rated lower than Turano's and Fortissimo. Just an amazing slice which upholds the NJ pizza standard (better than any NYC slice, fight me if you disagree). Their website has a great, intuitive interface that makes online ordering painless. No matter what I've ordered, it's been ready for pick-up in 20 minutes! The workers are very friendly and hospitable, and there is never any drama nor shenanigans when you go to pick up your order.My only regret is that they make acquiring such delicious food so easy and pleasant. "Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start! Before we even got to Second Happy Door, the host greeted us with menus, and they were very polite. Once we sat down, we were served refreshing water with ice and napkins—such attentive service! Our waiter came by shortly after to take our orders, and the coffee arrived quickly. We ordered the French Toast Deluxe, which came with eggs and cheese, as well as cheddar cheese and extra pancakes. Honestly, this was the best French toast I've ever had! "Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making my wife's birthday dinner special and memorable."
