"I had pointed out that the occasion was for my partner and my jubilee. from the moment we check on our repentance, we were greeted by the employees who congratulate us on our jubilee. all employees were warm, personal and professional, and they all helped make the night a beautiful experience. our waiter, sonny, was friendly, charismatic and very knowledgeable in the menu and in the location to ask the few menu-related questions that we asked him to answer thoroughly. our steaks were excellent and I highly recommend saving space for the cocoscake dessert. I would definitely recommend grill 23, especially for those who celebrate a special occasion."

"Wow... my 1st word. An absolutely 5 star experience when it came to drinks, food and most of all service! The steak was perfect and probably beats that famous steak house in Vegas. Dessert was so good that even though I was full I ate it all. And now that I am writing this I want more. I usually don't give 5 stars lightly as you all know, and if I could complain about one thing would of been the crowded entry way... but once you got in and to your area it was private and soothing with wonderful soft music in the background. I recommend anyone visiting Seattle.. if you want the best steak in town you must go here! Make a reservation ahead of time!"

"We went there and celebration of my friend's birthday. Wanted to take her someplace special, to one of the best steakhouses in the area. I ended up selecting THE best steakhouse in the area. Our server was outstanding. Started the evening off with a warm greeting, introducing himself and then offered to give us a brief overview of the menu which we accepted. Afterwards she gave us plenty of time to make our selections and then return and took our order while offering answers any question we had. We started off with a salad and then we both ended up selecting different steaks along with macaroni and cheese and asparagus. The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared. We appreciated his attentiveness throughout the evening in making sure we were taking care of. We ended the night with the complimentary dessert on her behalf of her birthday, which we shared. This was my first time going to John Howie steak but definitely not my last. I would recommend everyone to go here!"

"Came here to celebrate my son‘s 16th birthday. He is quite the foodie but never experienced a restaurant of this caliber. He ordered the special appetizer with an array of raw seafood and caviar. Truffles were in season so my daughter had truffle dressing on her salad, I had homemade pasta from farm raised chicken eggs and truffles, and my son’s duck egg had truffles. My wife had lobster ravioli. All meals were excellent with spot on service. They gave my son a card for his birthday that wasn’t just signed by everyone, rather it had a personal message. It made an impression on him, which is hard to do. Finally, the mixed drinks at the bar or truly unique and equally fantastic. I recommend the vanilla infused Elijah Craig with pear."

From the personalized and signed menus to the beautiful dessert, they think of every way to make your evening special. "our dining room experience was exceptional. we had a wonderful waiter. eating was excellent and the ambiente was perfect. our meal for the three of us with the tipp was just over $500. my only complaining is that I am there about 20 minutes early and after check-in with the host I asked if I could go into the bar and get a drink and she said yes. I went into the bar, there were two empty places. I sat on one of the stools and ordered a drink. the bartender was very friendly and nice. Before my drink was delivered, another host came up and asked me if I had set myself and had reservations for the bar? I was surprised because I never heard of this. She told me I had to go. I was insulted and uncomfortable. I asked her what I should do with the drink I had just paid for, and she said I could sit in a small chair in the corner next to the bar or I could wait in the lobby. first I sat in the small stool in the corner and felt very uncomfortable and awkward, especially when I saw others sitting in the load that I had just occupied while loading right next. it remained empty for the better part of 10 minutes. I finally moved into the lobby area with my drink and waited for my guests. Bar seats should come first served and they should never leave a dame after they order a drink and pay for it. I mean, I checked at the Hostess booth and was told I could go into the bar and get a drink. I should've asked if I could have a bar stool to go with my drink."

"The halibut was over cooked and lacked flavor. The kitchen and service was slow. The waiter brought our appetizer at the same time as our meals. Costs are about 25% higher than on their website. Additionally the selection of seafood seemed less than usual. After eating there at least 2-3 times per year for >20 years, we were greatly disappointed. It will be a while before we go back, if we do."

"The service was outstanding but the food was not as good as usual. The stuffed chicken breast which was me and another dining with me entree was very dry. The cheese that it’s stuffed with barely existed. I’m not sure if I would dine at this location again this is not my first bad experience. "eating was amazing! but our server joseph w. was not warm and friendly at all. very intimidating and not even a smile! he disappeared for a long time, so we ended up with other servers for different things to disturb. joseph made his job, but the mere minimum. he mixed one of the courts I'm sure it's happening all the time, so I'm not upset about it. but he should've notified me that they were out of the special Thanksgiving dessert before I ordered it! when it was time for dessert, I had to choose an alternative because they “suddenly ran out.” the most annoying thing that night, though, was, as the server said, he would not be able to lay us with the bonus “doggy bag” (listed as part of the meal on the website! because “the rest of the staff are reserved”... but strange how the party get next to us! So I asked this nice server on the table next to us the same question I asked our own server and then she actually went out of her to send us home with this little bonus (that my 7-year-old daughter was so worried to receive! I didn't catch the names of this hearty and generous server from the table next to us, but as I wished that the generous tip we had left had gone to her! I would probably recommend odenton location to others, provided that we are simply unhappy with our server. if they are friendly and careful service is important for them then note them joseph w."

"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."

"They sat us in the outside tent area without being asked. The ambiance is definitely not the same. I sat in chairs that were several inches too short to eat comfortably, that had dirty stained cushions. I got my appetizer and then meal not two minutes later, similar to cheaper chain restaurants. Definitely was not the fine meal I wanted to treat myself to for New Years. Definitely will go to another restaurant for my next treat."

"The Queensview never disappoints! We usually have dinner at the bar when it's just the two of us. Tim the bartender is so delightful and his drinks are impeccable! But we had out of town guests and got a four top. Our server, Craig, was delightful, knowledgable and quite attentive in an unobtrusive way. Excellent! The food was over the top delicious as always. The steaks were cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth tender. The sides were equally as delicious! I have never had a bad meal or experience here. I really appreciate the consistency !"

"Out of towners who made this our super swanky meal of our trip. We came in with high expectations because of ratings and awards. My wife got the sea bass and me the filet mignon medium rare. I cook alot my own steak so I am a really tough judge. Anything above a 9 is great score from me. The filet got a 9.4. Cooked just right and not stringy/chewy. A 9.4 mostly because it was $70. I am not use to those prices back home! They surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake for me even though I didn't want anything showy. Waiter was really good adjusting to our needs and answering questions. I told him I drink alcohol fast and to bring drinks out quicker then most ppl allow. Particularly, it was a holiday weekend and I wanted to feel good. He did not disappoint. I had 3 beers and a double of whiskey with the steak. We spent $300 for two ppl includes tip."

"This was one the last places on my list of Manhattan steakhouses to try and it did not disappoint. I loved the ambiance. Some might say it’s dated by I appreciate the classic style and decor. If you’re bringing the kids don’t sit in a booth unless you’re cool with all of the pin up era nudity, which I am. My friend and I ordered the porterhouse for 2, goose fat potatoes, drunken mushrooms, black truffle creamed spinach. I’m generally not a fan of peppercorn crust but they only do 1 side so I figured it wouldn’t be too overwhelming and went with the flow. It was perfect. Everything was perfect. The goose fat potatoes were the crispiest I have ever had. Overall I wouldn’t say that the appetizer or dessert selections were too enticing. I would have liked bacon but the way it was prepared seemed very excessive so I skipped it. It seemed more like bacon for people who don’t want to taste the bacon. The bananas foster baked Alaska was interesting. My friend was blown away by it so I guess we will just agree to disagree. It wasn’t bad I just didn’t personally love it. I will definitely be revisiting."

"We had hoped to dine outside with a view of the ocean, but the strong wind forced us to eat indoors, which was disappointing. The restaurant had recently replaced their tables and chairs with plainer, less comfortable ones, which I did not care for. However, I do appreciate the dark wood decor and the bar. Although I have enjoyed better meals at this restaurant in the past, the short ribs I ordered were not as good as what I make at home. The mashed potatoes and carrots that came with the meal were delicious. The other three people in our group enjoyed their meals. Despite these flaws, I still have a fondness for this place, especially when dining outdoors."

"I brought my family of 7 to have late lunch. We did not get any water to start off. Then we ordered some appetizers and the calamari was not cooked all the way. The teriyaki steak appetizer was just ok, the rice was soggy and the bread for the crab artichoke dip was also soggy not crispy the way normally sould be. We waited for over 10 minutes for our drink orders. Then finally tried to order our main course and come to find out you ran out of lobster. How does an establishment that is well known for their food especially seafood run out. It wasn't even dinner time yet. Very disappointed as we drove down from Las Vegas to enjoy your meal amd establishment. We could have gone anywhere but base of your reviews we decided to pick your place. We'll it was a mistake. We paid for the appetizer and drinks which came out to $145.00 which was really high just for 3 alcoholic beverage and 4 regular drinks. Again very disappointed that not even a manager came by to apologize and maybe offered to take care of our drinks or appetizer. Even an apology from the management staff would have been nice..."
