Steak House No. 316

The service was excellent, but the steak was overcooked, which was surprising. However, it's still one of the best steaks you can find anywhere.

This has become one of our favorite restaurants in Aspen. We take friends when they come to town. We have been three times in three weeks. Love it. Pam

We had a fantastic meal in a lovely setting. The service was excellent. We enjoyed dining outdoors on a beautiful night, but the interior was a delightful surprise—very stylish and luxurious. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited this restaurant for a celebrity evening during our first trip to Aspen, and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Alex, was exceptional!

Great ambiance and decor. Service pretty good. Appetisers were fine but my steak wasn’t their signature bone in ribeye was tough and tasteless. I ate next to none of it and it was removed without a comment waitstaff should be trained to question if everything is OK if a guest hasn’t eaten the meal. I then had to ask to have it removed from the bill. A real shame as the ambiance is so lovely. If I were local I would give it another chance. View menu

We heard all the hype about 316 and the meal lived up to it all. My wife and I shared the bone-in KC Strip Steak, the sautéed spinach and cartelized onions which I specified when ordering them to be burnt. They were sensational. The steak was of the highest quality and perfectly cooked. We also shared the cobb salad which was delicious, but kinda small. Our server, Justin was warm, sincere and spot-on. He's also not one of those servers that tries to get the check total up. This is one of, if not the best restaurant in Aspen.

The greatest thing about 316 is immediately experienced....great staff. The restaurant is a unique historic home built in the early mining days of the area decorated with a Victorian flair. It is a romantic place great for a special date or anniversary. The food, we enjoyed a filet and rack of lamb with accompanying overwhelming onion rings, green salad done simply with a balsamic dressing, lovely bottle of red chosen from a large wine book was prepared expertly. This is on the higher price range, but is worth it for a special evening with great service.

This was our first time at Steak House 316. My husband requested this restaurant for his birthday dinner. My husband had the Filet while I had the Halibut. My husband also had the Onion Ring Tower. My husband loved his meal. He gives it 5 stars. I very much enjoyed my fish but found it a bit over cooked. Therefor, I rate my meal 4/5 stars. Next time (yes there will be a next time) I will be very specific about the temperature of my fish; I anticipate that meal will be 5/5 stars.
