"We were quickly seated on a Friday evening. I do not like sitting at a table out in the middle right in front of the kitchen doors. Would have preferred to be seated at a booth. I didn’t ask to change seats. I think that they should ask the guest their preference before seating. Service was extremely fast and courteous. We loved our waitress. At first, I thought I was under dressed. Then we saw several folks wearing their scrubs and hoodies. (The hospital is next door. Alright then! That made the atmosphere feel a bit more relaxed and accepting. Spanish Home Fries and Boudin Balls were awesome. My husband really liked the pickled veggies. Frozen Porch Swing was good but very powerful lemon flavor. Not too strong alcohol though. Sweet tea lived up to Southern expectations. Lasagna was still boiling when served. Wonderful sauce and extremely cheesy. My husband’s lemon rotisserie chicken breast was a bit dry. (I have no idea why he ordered that. Overall, we felt that our service and food lived up to our expectations and were pleased. We got in and out fairly quickly. Had plenty of leftovers as well. Just passing through. Glad we chose the Manship Wood Fired Kitchen."

"The restaurant had a hired photographer invading the privacy of the diners. We expressed to the manager that we were uncomfortable being photographed or our photo 's being used in their marketing materials. We were told they were blurring faces; however, we stated we were still uncomfortable and do not wish to participate. The photographer then went outside and continued taking photo 's directly at us. We spoke to the photographer directly who again stated that they would blurr faces. We were quite uncomfortable and not enjoying a peaceful meal and asked that he stop until we leave. The photographer said he was just doing his job and then brought the camera directly in front of our table and we could hear the Manager telling him that we weren 't going to like it; however, the photographer attempted to act as if he were taking photo 's the other direction and turned his camera directly on us. We again told them we were uncomfortable and to please stop. The Manager did nothing other than walk away. We immediately paid our check and left. The disrespect of how this was handled and to continue to make us uncomfortable during our meal was very disappointing."

"This will be our last time at WA Frost. In an environment where you'd expect restaurants to be putting their best foot forward to maintain patronage, they fell extremely short. With reservations, it took 15 minutes to get us seated. After watching staff continuously pass by our table, it took another 15 minutes to even put a drink order in. At that point, it was the host who asked as we had not yet been inquired upon. We then proceeded to put in our full order as the writing was on the wall. After ordering off of a very limited menu, the food delivered was about on par with Piada italian street food. Not to say that is bad, but not what you or we would expect from this establishment and for those prices. Overall, the staff was complacent, the food mediocre and overall experience was poor. I'm sorry to say that WA Frost is no longer on our list of places to go in St Paul."

"There are times when it’s too busy to visit this place (usually on Fridays and weekends), but that doesn’t stop us from ordering the delicious food online. They have a convenient online portal with options for pickup or delivery. We’ve tried both and loved the food every time. The quality is just as good as dining in. I really appreciate the use of local and sometimes organic ingredients. We go for breakfast, lunch, dinner—whatever! Honestly, it’s probably the best burger I’ve ever had, way better than Smashburger."

We were tucked in a cozy corner, there was a birthday card waiting from the owner chefs for my sweetheart, and a birthday candle with his dessert. We did have to leave half a very boozy house Manhattan on the table to ensure safe driving but we had a lovely evening. Free valet was a welcome touch in the construction zone that is currently Clayton."

"The seating options on both the first and second floors are great, and there’s enclosed outdoor seating as well. Plus, they have plenty of screens for watching your favorite sports. Shelby, our waitress, was incredibly helpful with menu suggestions, and she hit the mark perfectly! We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, appetizers, and meals. When we asked to substitute a side dish, it was taken care of right away. I highly recommend this place for its convenient location (easy to spot from the street with plenty of parking), delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to return and try more of their dishes! We ordered the Carolina Wings (with Sriracha and honey), Mt. Olive Pickle Chips, a Caesar Salad, the chef’s cut of the day—which was cooked to perfection—and a French Dip. Everything was delicious!"

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"I felt we spent too much for the quality of food we received. The carpaccio should of been labeled as a salad since that what it pretty much what it was. The focus was all the leafy greens covering up how little your are getting of the thinly sliced beef. Calamari was rubbery and chewy. Sadly the tourist traps on the wharf and Cannery row would be comparable. Venison tenderloin was very under seasoned and just tasted of grill markings. I had to leave the parts that I could not chew due to how under cooked it was. It was probably too cold when it got seared on the grill. Over cooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside. Sauce had a weird bitter taste that just intensified the seared flavor. My child’s rib dinner was very tough meat. I couldn’t believe that a chef checked the ribs and was like yeah that is okay. "The service was great. I was shocked that actually Lamb chops were not on the menu. I did not like that it was so dark. I could barely read the menu. I also didn't like that everything was a la carte. They did have chops, on menu of the night. They were pretty good. Def worth the $55. And the sides were good. I had mac, Brussels mash. All good. We also had a chocolate soufle. It was soo silky smooth. Definitely worth saving space. I did like the flowers outside I also recommend a reservation b/c they seem to be pretty popular. Dinner for 3 was $350."

"I visited the Deli for Father's Day, and it was surprisingly empty. We were seated at a broken table that wobbled, so we relocated to another table that was slightly better, but we had to grab chairs from a different table because there weren't enough at ours. I hadn't been to the Deli in about a year, and I noticed that the prices have gone up, while the portion of meat in the sandwiches has shrunk, and the quality of the meat has declined as well. For dessert, we ordered a brownie with ice cream, only to find out they were out of brownies. We then requested cookies with sprinkles, but there were none available either. In the end, we opted for some mini-danish pastries, which tasted stale, as if they were a day old, despite being offered at a discount."

"I went to this restaurant tonight, just three people and I. Four people total. The first thing that went wrong was I waited a hour for a table in a empty restaurant. I let that go because the food here is really good and the service is really good. Yet, the worst thing I imagine, happened. Our food was undercooked, the outside look really good but in the inside it was raw. I told the server this happened. Lauren, our server, tried her best to help us out and even the food runner tried to help. The manager walked up to us and said you happy now. I don 't know what he meant by this. Then I asked, and he told me I should leave that my type of people shouldn 't be in here. I took offense to this. Yes I 'm gay, yes I was wearing a crop top, but I do not need a manager coming up to me telling me this. Also he was checking me out all night and I could tell he was because he was at the bar for a minute just looking me up and down. I asked my server his name and she said it 's Mike, I believe that is correct. I hope the lgbt community will help me boycott this restaurant until is Mike is removed."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"My hubby and I stumbled on this place in 2015 when we were dating. In 2016, he took me here after he proposed to me. In 2017, before our wedding, he brought all his friends who had traveled down to enjoy dinner before the event. It has been a part of ourmost beautiful memories. The portions are beyond generous, and delectable!!! I?m also gluten-free, and there are so manydelicious options. I also highly suggest the gluten-free garlic bread dipped in the olive oil mix, it?s divine!! They can be alittle cheeky if you show up before they open. Even 5 min before they open. "This was an amazing place to eat. I was slightly intimidated but how packed it was but I soon found out that it was because of how delicious everything was! My fiance and I started off with a couple of drafts out of very large variety of beers and the waiter had no trouble recommending the perfect selections for us both. Our appetizer was the Cheese Curds with ranch and WOW absolutely amazing! They were like Mozzarella sticks that just didn't taste Italian. It went very well with the beers. Then we ordered our entrees: St. Patty's Melt with a side of Tabouli and South City Chicken with a side of Pub Fries. It's hard to go wrong with a patty melt but it was delicious none-the-less. We ordered it medium-cooked and it turned out perfectly. The Tabouli was something we have never had before - it was basically like salsa without the sauce, a very interesting side dish that wasn't quite up to our expectations. As for the South City Chicken, talk about a spicy succulence! The chicken was cooked very well and wasn't too thick or thin of a breast. It was covered in Pepper Jack cheese and salsa, giving it a very hot flavor that made my mouth water. I had them leave off the avocado since I'm not a huge fan, so that might have balanced out the zesty flavor a bit more. And of course the Pub Fries were super good - a delicious flavor, cooked just right and not too greasy. At the end, we had enough room in our stomachs for one of their decadent desserts: White Chocolate Chip Brownie served a la mode. The brownie came out very soft but not gooey and was super warm. The right amount of vanilla ice cream was placed on top, followed by a good amount of chocolate fudge dripped over the dessert with a fresh strawberry as extra. Very delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and all the food and drinks came so fast - very little wait time. It was a cozy place to eat with the lights dimmed. All in all, a most fabulous place to eat! We will definitely go back again!!"

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! "Amazing food for an amazing price! $20 each despite huge portions. I ordered a deluxe patty melt and it was probably one of the best meals I've had so far in 2023. "I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. "My wife and I both had the Roast Duck, which was very good. I had the Caesar Salad which was excellent. She had the Lobster Bisque special, which she enjoyed. We shared the Apple Strudel with vanilla ice cream for dessert excellent as well. The only negative was that we requested some extra triple sec sauce to accompany the Duck and were charged an additional It is sad that Covid prices and shortages have forced restaurants to impose such petty charges, especially since the sauce accompanying the Duck was not adequate. "Went for restaurant week and my only complaint was that they served butter pecan ice cream with the caramel cake even though the menu says it's served with cinnamon ice cream. They made this substitution without asking anyone in our party if they had a nut allergy, which should NEVER happen.
