"I did not have a good experience here. My wife and I walked in and it was open mic night. That should have been my cue to turn around and walk back out. I understand that local musicians sometimes enjoy open mics, but I do not want to take part, and I certainly don 't want to hear amateur hour while trying to enjoy dinner. We decided to give it a shot anyway and the night didn 't get much better. Let 's start with appetizers... well, I would have liked to start with them, but our server forgot to put in the order, and when our food came out and I asked, she lied and said they were still cooking. Let 's move on to our entrées. My wife got the brisket sandwich with fries and she enjoyed her meal. I got the ribs with baked beans and onion rings. The menu did specify rings and I realize that 2 1/2 does qualify as plural, but not exactly what I was expecting. The baked beans were fine. The ribs were fairly dry and under sauced. I was given extra sauce, but there should have been a lot more cooked on to the ribs. If I wanted to dunk meat nuggets, I would have gone to McDonald 's. After we finished our meal, our appetizer wings finally arrived. (Dessert wings??? They were again a little dry, but not too bad. At that point, the house drummer had beaten my head into an ache that wasn 't going to go away so we left and went to Ready Coffee to wash the taste of bad BBQ out of our mouths."

"This was some of the worst Latin food I have had in Raleigh. I ordered the empanada platter, which is 2 empanadas and 2 sides. I chose the beef empanadas, fried yuca and salad. The empanadas were huge and mostly empty. They look big, but they are full of hot air. The taste of the meat wasn 't bad, but i there was barely anything there. Even the salad was one big lump of dried-up lettuce with 2 tomatoes and 2 slices of onions and zero dressing. The fried yuca was the most disappointing part. They were fried in oil that was already overused because there was no resemblance to yuca; they looked, and tasted like fried batter and literally crumpled in my fingers. When I mentioned it to the counter girl, she said, I 'm sorry, I guess that 's why they are cleaning the fryers right now. I am never ever going here again, and I am sure they will be fine without me, but do yourself a favor. If you are a real critic of Latin food and have good examples to compare against, don 't go here either. I am saving you the cash and disappointment. It 's been hard finding latin restaurants here that have that authentic taste like the ones in NY or NJ. I have tried Red Monkey (fake Colombian food), Tropical Chicken in Wake Forest before it closed (5 out of 10 rating), Hartura in Wake Forest (The Mangu does not have the Dominican taste), and Alpaca (Cant make Lomo or Tallarines to save their lives)."
