"Was recommended this place by friends and felt reassured by the 4 star rating. The food quality was extremely poor. Ordered shrimp and chicken fried rice. Rice was stale and tasteless. Appeared to be days old rice, definitely not freshly made. Ordered chicken with broccoli as a safe choice. The chicken was rubbery and hard to chew- could not finish the meal. Only thing that was edible was the sesame chicken which was deep fried and breaded and coated in sauce- hard to mess up. Really difficult to find good quality Chinese food take away in East Queens- Long Island. Will not be ordering again- wondering who could give this place 4 stars."

"Chicken wings with French fries wasn’t what I expected. This is my first time ordering this in NJ and Rita different from NY. The fries are shoestring and it looks like they give you a little handful of them. Soggy, no crisp to it and they don’t carry bbq sauce. WHAT?! The chicken wings are old and hard. These aren’t fresh chicken wings at all. I’ll stick to ordering that “American “ dish in NY. If anyone knows another spot in NJ, please let me know!"

"This was my first visit to Chinese Musician, and I've been to several other Chinese restaurants in the city. I have to say, they serve the best dim sum I've ever had. My only complaint is about the Shrimp Sui Mui – it was delicious but way too small in portion. Unfortunately, I also didn't receive the Diet Coke I ordered. However, the BBQ Roasted Duck combo dinner was absolutely incredible! The Sesame Wonton was okay, but I couldn't quite figure out what ingredients were used. Overall, I would give this place 5 stars. That said, if I decide to return, I hope to see more consistency and better portion sizes. Otherwise, great job!"

"I ordered the Chicken Broccoli with Garlic sauce, fried rice, and a vegetable roll. The fried rice was delicious! However, I found the Chicken Broccoli with Garlic sauce to be quite disappointing; it was both bland and overly sweet, which really put a damper on my experience. The vegetable roll, on the other hand, was excellent. I enjoyed the rice and the roll quite a bit. The service was great and the staff were friendly. I did think the prices were a bit higher than most Chinese takeout places, which I found a bit frustrating. They do accept card payments. Overall, it was just okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement."

"If I can give zero stars to this place I would. I called to place an order for the first time here. The lady was very rude and was rushing me to place my order. I then went to ask her what sides do they have and she got real nasty and rude with me over the phone telling me to hurry up. When I asked to speak with the manager she hung up the phone on me. She then called back trying to sound sweet on the phone and I gave her the same attitude back that she gave me and told her I’m giving the worst review. They are horrible people and don’t care about their customers. Who ever they have answering the phone they need to fire her. I will never call this place again ever. I advise you not to order from this place."
