"My husband and I stopped in for breakfast with our toddlers? When we entered, we were told we could sit anywhere. A menu was brought to a shortly after sitting down. Our drink order was taken as our menu was brought to us. I do believe there is a switch from breakfast to lunch around 11:00 a.m. The server was also manning the phone when we were there. The staff all seemed friendly and we're definitely tolerable of our toddlers, who decided to run in circles and dance after eating. I feel like this restaurant gives a homey vibe. The food was more than reasonably priced. Honestly, it was the lowest priced food that I've seen in a while. Overall, we enjoyed our food and our time at the restaurant. I think we'll be back to try lunch, and dinner at a later time. Dietary restrictions: The food is customizable, you can ask to add items, or take items out. There are a bunch of different varieties and options of food. Parking: There is off street parking lot, and you can also park on the street. Kid-friendliness: We brought our kids with us, there's a high chair accessible to anybody who may need it. The staff was very tolerable of our toddlers. Wheelchair accessibility: There's a door on the side of the building that is wheelchair accessible. The parking lot is a decent size and there is plenty of room for anybody who may need to park a little further than the car next to them."

"I must point out that I was re-introduced to Ken's Diner Grill within Facebook group (Vegan Chicago) where Ken's Diner shared a post stating that it will be open on the 4th of July, offering you mouthwatering Vegan hamburgers and hotdogs. I thought to myself, offering mouthwatering Vegan hamburgers and hotdogs? Mmm, now you are speaking my language. And it was then I made plans to make the drive to Skokie on the 4th of July, Independence Day. Ken's Diner Grill itself sits along Dempster St nearby several restaurants that I am familiar with, with one being the neighboring Monkey King Jianbing which I admit I have visited a handful of times for jianbing, tehehe. Even though the parking lot is shared with other businesses, there are a decent number of parking spots available with some in parallel parking design directly outside the storefront. I was acknowledged shortly after I walked in and up to the counter to look at the menu. After confirming their plant-based items, I ended up ordering the jumbo vegan hot dog, french fries, and a canned soda which was completed within a reasonable timeframe. Service: 5 (Great) I opted out of dine-in and chose to take my order to go. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere of Ken's Diner Grill, I just had other errands I needed to complete, even with-it being a holiday. Moreover, the restaurant appeared clean, and the atmosphere gave off a sporty, yet classy diner vibe. There are a number of tables and seats available inside of the dining area. And I must say that I adored the vintage photos plastered along the booths, and vintage decorations in the dining area which took me by surprise. Atmosphere: 5 (Great) Garnished with everything but hot peppers, I enjoyed the satisfying taste of the jumbo vegan hot dog once I had gotten settled in for the evening. It was most definitely mouthwatering as advertised in the Facebook post shared by Ken's Diner. And the fries were far from a disappointment. Food: 5 (Great) Being that I had a good experience, I would gladly re-visit Ken's Diner Grill again whenever in the Skokie area. Or maybe I will just make the drive for either one of their mouthwatering vegan hamburgers or hotdogs, tehehe. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Food: 5 Recommendations: cabbage soup, impossible mushroom avocado burger, veggie burger, impossible burger, grilled cheese, quesadilla with veggie meat, steak fries, curly fries, vegan hot dog, or vegan chili dog.
