"We have been hearing about Eats and Sweets for years and have driven by countless times but never had a chance to stop. Today I took the boys to Kilgore Falls and I knew Eats and Sweets was close, so we headed straight there afterward. We had our dog with us and we knew we shouldn’t bring her in so I told all the boys to go in and order and then I’d come in and pay and they could watch the dog outside. I was happy to see they had outdoor seating! Immediately the nice woman behind the counter asked if my dog could use a bowl of water and I said that would be nice. She brought it out right away. She said we could move the picnic table to the shade. We sat on the bench while the boys ordered. That was so kind of her. The boys asked her what she would recommend. She pointed some things out and was so helpful with them while I was outside. I came in after they finished and I asked her about the salads and mentioned I’d heard great things about the food. She mentioned the owners both went to culinary school and they go to great efforts to make good food. She mentioned the portions were big I got a small salad for $6.50 and added chicken for a few dollars more. The salad was delicious! The chicken was light and tender and well seasoned, vegetables fresh and the dressing was from scratch. I always ask about dressings, as I’m a bit of a dressing snob ha ha. Don’t bring me Ken’s Steakhouse bottled dressing! I can tell the difference! Trust me! The boys got a cheesesteak, fried shrimp and fries, and the crab Mac and cheese. Great portions! We all gasped at the mac and cheese! He said it was the best Mac and cheese he has ever had in his 13 year old life! The cheesesteak was on a fresh roll (doesn’t good bread make all the difference? and we loved that it had fresh tomato and lettuce on it, just how we like it. Fries were obviously house cut from real potatoes dang! so good. Like boardwalk fries. 12 shrimp on the platter! I felt like that was a good amount and my son was really pleased. Loved his meal. Good prices, love the drinks in mason jars, great portions, friendly service, fresh real food, obvious pride in making sure the food is top notch. We were so full we couldn’t do ice cream at the end but believe me, we are coming back SOON with the rest of the family! We are excited to come back again! Thank you so much! We have a hard time finding places we love to eat out, so we are super excited to add this to our list!"

"Updated 8/28 Im glad that this is a family owned business, as their isnt alot of those around anymore... very fast response from owner to to try and correct my experience.. tho i am not an ice cream franchise you can do DIY shakes at home with a blender milk and hard scooped ice cream. Tho the owner tried to correct my bad experience i will not be a return customer. I will stick with kiki lolos they handscoop any flavor and make it a shake.. not EVERYONE WANTS ICE CREAM IN A CONE I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE but also would like to enjoy ALL THE FLAVORS...... First time customer.. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE AND FIRST IMPRESSION.... Being an ice cream shop you would think that they could make a shake out of any of their flavors. Thats not the case, evidently the knowledge to hard scoop flavored ice cream and add milk is asking for to much, so if u want a shake u have limited flavors from a small menu u wouldnt think. Also advertised that slushie are available and 4hrs before closing something is Mysteriously wrong with the machine evidently. And also stood waiting for the MOST WATERED DOWN FLAVORLESS MILKSHAKE IV EVER HAD. I also almost left without my whole order because people that ordered 5 mins after me where getting their stuff b4 me...Order person not very freindly for being a first person you see for the company. I purchased a t-shirt because i love being an advertiser but with such a BAD EXPERIENCE the t-shirt will read with the following happi jax x 'd out and will say THE SAD JAX EXPERIENCE..."
