"I had a craving for soup late last night after getting home from work and ended up ordering from here after my first two orders from a different restaurant were cancelled due to sold out items.I decided to go with their Pozole instead of their Menudo because I 'm only used to Dominican mondongo. They were both listed as popular on the app so I trusted that it would be reliable. I 've never had pozole before, I try my best to not have first time experiences with takeout but hey what are you gonna do ya know? I 've always been ssssuuuuuuperrrrrrrrrr interested in it, the hominy has always been really intriguing lol. The menu didn 't indicate whether it was red or green but again, I was trusting. It was $13 for one size which is the large plastic 32oz container. They send a separate aluminum tray with cabbage (I think), raw diced onions, radishes and limes. Oh and they sent oregano and some type of chili powder! My first impression of the soup was that it was packed. Lots of hominy, lots of pork and a broth that looked a lot like stock. It wasn 't green or red. The broth also tasted like stock, not in a bad way though! It was just very simple, good but simple and for me personally, I had to add a little bit of bouillon to it for extra flavor. I actually had my hand slip and a little more than I anticipated came out, but I was able to fix it by adding extra lime. I loved the hominy! I had no idea what to expect but if you 've never had it, it 's pretty much the same texture as potatoes. The star of the show though was the pork. You could tell they put in lots of effort to make sure that they cut off the unwanted pieces of fat, which made eating it so much easier. It was so tender. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I 'm really glad I tried something new. Only reason they didn 't get 4 stars is because I had to add seasoning to the broth."

"Daily Grill in Studio City has returned again, though the owners never left! For some reason unknown to me, they had closed a few years ago and then reopened as Laurel Pointe, which had a nautical theme and associated cuisine. Midlife crisis perhaps or sign of these crazy, polarized times? But the reincarnated Daily Grill has returned to the essentially same interior as Laurel Pointe but now back to most of the old menu. Comfort food favorites, like meatloaf and chicken pot pie, are back! I did notice, however, that their delicious gazpacho soup is MIA. Our very sweet and excellent server, Maya, said it may return because a number of previous customers like myself have been asking about it. Prices were reasonable, though the menu could benefit from some clarification. Entrees include two items listed under Side Dishes, but there is a price after each item shown there, suggesting the price of each choice is added to the price shown after each entree. Maya clarified those prices were for customers ordering more than the two sides included with your entree. Free parking, a growing anomaly in our city, is readily available. I was surprised they are open only until 10 PM on weekends, especially since they have a nice bar in the dining room. Maybe that will evolve over these challenging times for restaurants. Old time customer or new, give it a try!"
