"While this place does many things right, I find it a little confusing to review as there are several aspects that are not up to par in my opinion. However, they are impressively fast and efficient, and I believe their pricing is fair for the quality of service provided. This is particularly noteworthy in today's environment where one often has to compromise on one thing to get another.On my first visit, I ordered shrimp rice and chicken fried dumplings, and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to arrive. The bill was under $20, which was reasonable. The food looked presentable, and I could see the cashier making dumplings or wontons while I was there, indicating that they are likely made in-house with care.However, the food itself was lacking in flavor in my opinion, although it may be intentionally low in sodium and healthy. It seems to cater to the taste preferences of the residents of the Upper East Side/Sutton Place area who prefer flavorless restaurants. The green peas in the fried rice were hard and dry, and the shrimp seemed slightly undercooked.Despite the negatives, I like the restaurant and plan to give it another try, being more specific about my preferences for the fried rice. They have a condiment table with sauces, chili paste/oil, and other condiments based on individual preferences. I am hopeful that my experience will improve during my next visit."

"As a person that LOVES Chinese cuisine, i had to write a review for this place. i work all over the island and I am always looking for Chinese food in my work area.I would RECOMMEND you to not waist time and money with this place. I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce with white rice and it was terrible. That’s my test dish for all new Chinese restaurants. I also ordered an egg roll and a small egg drop soup. The dish was extremely bland, vegetables were not cooked properly and the egg drop soup didn’t taste right. The only good thing was that they offer you big shrimps in this dish, everything else was not so great. Good thing I ordered an egg roll, because I had to chuck the left over rice and egg drop soup."

"Chicken wings with French fries wasn’t what I expected. This is my first time ordering this in NJ and Rita different from NY. The fries are shoestring and it looks like they give you a little handful of them. Soggy, no crisp to it and they don’t carry bbq sauce. WHAT?! The chicken wings are old and hard. These aren’t fresh chicken wings at all. I’ll stick to ordering that “American “ dish in NY. If anyone knows another spot in NJ, please let me know!"

"I'm not one to give a business one bad experience and immediately leave a bad review but this has been a recurring issue here for some time now where I will place an order and be told it will be ready in 10-15 minutes and I'll show up 20+ minutes later and my order either has been totally disregarded or hasn't even been started yet. I will no longer be frequenting this establishment. No apologies when an error has clearly been made and very poor service for mediocre food. I'll be driving across town to avoid ordering from here from now on."

"First timers here but definitely not our last!! My husband enjoyed his sushi, he said it was really fresh and after looking over the menu, he is happy to try them all Lol, I ordered the boneless reserve ribs (my favorites) and it was really good!!!! I had a terrible experience on the other day with another local restaurant after ordering the same thing and during mixing my sauce in one actually found a piece of medal (scouring pad) in my food and ended only the entire order But in this restaurant you can say it was made to order and I love that they sent homemade duck sauce really makes it a difference. Thank you for offering really fresh food and we will be back soon"

"The coconut chicken is absolutely amazing! I hope the owner sees this: PLEASE serve your bubble tea 24/7! I love it! I’m the enthusiastic lady who calls to check if it's available on certain days. It's truly the best bubble tea I've ever had, and I've become completely addicted. Honestly, I don’t know how I’m not 600 pounds because I usually order four and end up drinking three myself, leaving one for my daughter (LOL). I also want to mention that the staff is incredibly kind and respectful. One time, when I called to inquire about the bubble tea, there was a mix-up about the days, and the person I spoke with told me it would be available the next day. But then, I received a call back almost immediately, letting me know it was actually being served that day. I squealed in excitement—not even exaggerating! It felt like being a kid on Christmas morning, getting that toy you thought you’d never get!"

"very fast Chinese food. in the inner of the call in the order, I stopped by and they said it takes only about 5 minutes for two roasted chicken dishes and a row of the steamed dumplings. this is while they call many and had several submissions ready to go. the food quality was simply in order and the prices have risen a bit to about $14-15 for their special dishes. they threw into a few ginger-ales, which was also a nice supplement. portions were quite large. we would have been good with a command of general tso’s huh and the knödeln. but the orange chicken was very sharp as promised, so we're glad we didn't just order that."

"What a delightful surprise! The food here is affordable, and the portion sizes are generous. The quality is quite good, and they are relatively quick in getting your orders to you. My only complaint would be the rice; I found it to be a bit dry, though still flavorful. This is just a minor issue in what was an overall great experience. "This restaurant offers excellent value for takeout, especially with their fantastic lunch menu, which features generous portions. I often make two meals out of a single order! They use quality ingredients; for instance, the fried rice that accompanies their lunch specials contains good cuts of pork, unlike the tough, chewy scraps that many other takeout places tend to use. Everything I’ve tried has been great. My personal favorites are the Hunan chicken and General Tso's chicken. The hot and sour soup is also very rich and thick. The only downside is that the Szechuan hot oil (which you have to request) isn’t quite as spicy as I had hoped."

"The food at Great Wall is absolutely amazing. While there are several Chinese restaurants in the area, I wouldn't waste my money at them or settle for anything less than the fantastic flavors that Great Wall provides. In fact, just today (February 15, 2022), I had a craving for their spare rib tips meal with fries and extra barbecue sauce, but unfortunately, they are closed on Tuesdays. I was really hungry and even passed by two other places that serve rib tips but decided to head home instead. I don’t mind waiting until Great Wall is open because their food is worth it."

"I was feeling hungry and looking for a quick and tasty dinner tonight, so I decided to stop by this restaurant after getting my nails done nearby. When I walked in, I was surprised to see the owner's children hanging out on the tables, with school books and toys scattered everywhere, even on the front counter. Despite feeling a bit hesitant, I decided to give it a chance and placed my order. I had some egg drop soup, four spring rolls, General Tso's chicken, chicken and broccoli, and a shrimp rice combo. After waiting for about 25 minutes, I finally got my food. The spring rolls were a hit with my husband, as he found them crispy and flavorful. However, the soup was disappointing - it lacked flavor and was unappetizing. The main dishes were hot, but the chicken was dry and lacked seasoning. With the help of hot sauce and seasoning, the rice and chicken were somewhat salvageable. Overall, I would recommend sticking to the spring rolls only, as the rest of the food was not worth the $80 I paid."

"On our second order, we had ordered the broccoli with garlic sauce, and homestyle bean curd, which are comfort dishes for us that have been tried at several other Chinese restaurants. We're new to this area, and will say that the dishes were quite unique from what we've had before. Missing were the usual canned ingredients such as water chestnuts, baby corn, button mushrooms, etc. Was surprised by the addition of fresh cabbage, tomatoes, and capsicum varieties (see pictures). The spice and sauce were just right and flavors were to be expected.We did run into an issue with our first order coming out vegetarian. Mind you it was a menu item we had asked if it could be made vegetarian, and somewhere along the lines something didnt cross over in the language barrier between us.. we ended up with seafood in our order. That said, for future orders we are definitely sticking to menu items.The store did go as far as to kindly remedy the situation on another day at our request, which was much appreciated. Mistakes happen and not very many places with a language barrier would have responded by calling the customer back. Glad we were able to give the place a second try.All in all we would not hesitate to order from here again and would recommend it for the freshness of ingredients used, customer service and friendly staff.
