"As for the food, it was just average. The snapper was overly salty and a bit tough. It seemed like they soaked or cleaned it in salt water since the saltiness permeated the entire fish, and even when fresh fish is fried until it's firm, the meat should still be soft. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case, which makes me question its freshness. On a positive note, the pickliz was quite delicious. However, the portion of black rice was large in comparison to the amount of fish, and its flavor was lacking. I felt like it needed something more; I can enjoy rice with avocado or fried plantains on their own, but this rice didn't have enough flavor to serve as a main dish for me. My meal totaled $25.
The food on the buffet looked okay, but it didn’t entice me enough to return and try it. The patties appeared really dry as well. I had previously dismissed the Yelp reviews, as I hadn't encountered Haitian food that fell flat until today. Overall, the meal I had was mediocre at best."
