"As for the food, it was just average. The snapper was overly salty and a bit tough. It seemed like they soaked or cleaned it in salt water since the saltiness permeated the entire fish, and even when fresh fish is fried until it's firm, the meat should still be soft. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case, which makes me question its freshness. On a positive note, the pickliz was quite delicious. However, the portion of black rice was large in comparison to the amount of fish, and its flavor was lacking. I felt like it needed something more; I can enjoy rice with avocado or fried plantains on their own, but this rice didn't have enough flavor to serve as a main dish for me. My meal totaled $25. The food on the buffet looked okay, but it didn’t entice me enough to return and try it. The patties appeared really dry as well. I had previously dismissed the Yelp reviews, as I hadn't encountered Haitian food that fell flat until today. Overall, the meal I had was mediocre at best."

Better to pick out your food in person than order online. Good selection of traditional Haitian food that you grew up eating. Food is weighed on the scale and you pay the cost View menu

The small cup of bouillon I received had no meat in it. A Haitian restaurant should offer more substantive food than this. It’s misleading to label your establishment as Haitian.

The food was horrendous!!! I’ve tasted better Haitian food than this. I definitely do not recommend this! WORST NYC HAITIAN RESTAURANT!!!!! At this point the place should get shut down to be honest. I’m Haitian and they put me down for this one!!

it is quite frustrating when everytime you go there they charge a different ammount for the food. i wish the owner would do the customers a favor and put a menu with prices. that way people know exactly what they are paying for and not just whatever price the cashier is charging for the day!!!! As for the food, it was just okay. The snapper was quite salty and a bit tough. It seemed like they soaked or cleaned it in salt water, as the saltiness permeated the fish. Even when fresh fish is fried until crispy, the meat typically remains tender, but this one didn’t have that softness, leading me to believe it wasn't very fresh. On a positive note, the pickliz was really good. The portion of black rice was large compared to the size of the fish, but the taste was lacking—it felt like it was missing something. I can enjoy rice with avocado or fried plantains, but this rice wasn’t flavorful enough to stand alone as a main dish. The meal totaled $25. The food in the buffet looked average...
