"We enjoyed excellent meals during our two-day visit. Both days, we were attended by wonderful waitstaff. The food was quite good overall. On our first day, we ordered from the menu for $15 per person. The following day, we opted for the buffet, which provides an abundance of options for approximately $28 per person. However, it's quite a lot to consume unless you're incredibly hungry. Overall, our experience was truly enjoyable."

"I had my first meal here today, and it exceeded my expectations! I ordered the 3-piece chicken with macaroni and cheese, along with a drink, and everything was delicious. The biscuits were fantastic, and the fried chicken was perfectly seasoned. I'm really looking forward to trying more items from the menu. I can't believe I missed out on this place for so long, but I'm glad I finally decided to give it a chance. That said, I think the interior could use a makeover, especially the bathroom, but that's a minor detail."

"Having been here multiple times in past 3 wks, I can honestly say this joint is here to stay. Food quality is exceptional. Varying prices but overall affordable. Have tried their buffalo wings which are on the salty side, crispy tenders with fries, chicken over rice, mixed platter over rice, and their unbelievable chocolate cake. Best of all it's HALAL. muslim owned. Definitely willing to try their sandwiches... highly recommend it!"

"Something has changed since I've last visited this establishment many moons ago. I recall the food being pretty good the last time I visited but now I see a lot has changed for the worst. First off the building looks terrible on the outside. You'd almost think it was a vacant building if you didn't see cars parked out front. This is the first impression that you will get from just driving up. Walking up to the door I can already see that the inside isn't much better and the doors leading into the restaurant are dirty and have spray paint on them. Entering the restaurant you are hit with a stench that is not food. It is an offensive odor that resembles something that you'd smell coming from a toilet or plumbing. That should have been my cue to leave but I was hungry and figured the food would still be the same. Well it wasn't the chicken tasted quite different from what I remember. I don't think I'll be returning again. If I'd take a wild guess I'd say that ownership or management has changed and whoever is in charge isn't concerned about offering a quality environment with good quality food to the community. I think the people in the area should stop patronizing that restaurant until they put more effort into making the establishment presentable and clean things up. That includes getting the recipes back to what people are used to it being."

"I just want to say for starters that I almost never leave reviews for restaurants because I've worked in many of them I I know that all of them have good days and bad days so if I have a bad experience in one as a customer I don't leave a negative review because I get how it is. But if I really love a place I'm trying to be more vocal about it and that's why I'm leaving this review now. Ameribistro is by far one of the BEST restaurants I have ever had in my opinion. I've lived down the street from them since they opened and have had there food many many times. Not once has the food been bad. Tonight when I got my food I realized how much I have taken that for granted and I just want to say thank you the wonderful staff at Ameribistro for having constantly providing me and my loved ones with affordable delicious food and wonderful customer service. A word of advice to new customers, just call in your order and everything will be perfect everytime. And to the staff please never change anything..... Unless y'all are considering adding some dessert options... Then yes please"

"After reading the positive reviews, I decided to drop by. However, I wasn't aware of the hike in the prices for some items. I got the Chicken over Rice Platter and was expecting it to be $8 with taxes but the changed price was around $11 with taxes andservice charge. The service charge is only applicable if you pay using a card. The table where I sat seemed somewhat greasy andI'd have preferred it to be cleaner. The store was clean though. The portion was huge and I didn't mind paying for it. You getbrown rice, small pieces of chicken, lettuce, a mixed salad and french fries. The entire platter was delicious but the frenchfries and the mixed salad were the stars for me. They also add whole cumin to the rice and I really love the flavor of cumin.From my picture, you can see how the white and hot sauce were everywhere. They have the rice and the chicken already prepared sothe food doesn't need much time to reach your table. Overall, I had an awesome experience! The employees were also very kind andanswered customer questions and accommodated with their taste. I can't wait to try other options from their menu!"

"The Caramel Tres Leche spilled in the bag, so now I’m left with just dry cake and no leches. The fries that came with my 4-piece chicken were crunchier and harder than regular fries. Also, for a mix of pieces, I received mostly breasts; 3 out of 4 pieces were breast, which wouldn’t be a problem if I had requested more breast pieces. On the bright side, the rolls were probably the best part of the meal."

"Do not order from this restaurant because they will not honor any deals. The chicken and rice was supposed to be on a special buy 1 get 1 free but they only sent me one order. Plus they food looked and tasted like it was made the day before.When I tried to call them to ask them what had happened. I was greeted by an extremely rude person on the phone, yelling at me before I could even get a sentence out. Then they proceeded to tell me nothing is wrong with the food and they ONLY do buy 1 get 1 in the mornings, which is a lie because I have ordered from there before. "I found this spot randomly on Yelp and decided to try it for lunch. I was blown away at the sensible prices! I ended up getting a veggie plate collard greens, Mac and cheese, and fried okra. It comes with a piece of cornbread. I ordered online and picked it up about 30 mins later. When I got there I noticed there wasn 't much sparkle to the place. No decor on the inside except that good ol random grass wall with the neon sign. I gave the woman my name and she handed me my order. I first noticed how heavy the bag was! And when I got in the car the aroma hit me and it smelled great so I got excited. When I got home I opened up the box to see a nice size portion of everything and it was still warm enough to eat without having to reheat .And!Everything tasted great! The little cornbread was wrapped in foil so it was warm and moist when I unwrapped it. The greens were flavorful, although a little sweeter than I 'm used to. The mac and cheese wasn 't too cheesy and had those illustrious spiral noodles. And they gave me a generous amount of fried okra which was also delicious! I checked the menu and even though it 's not too extensive, almost everything looks and sounds good. Definitely going to make this place my next 'regular ' and try other menu items. It 's affordable and tasty. What else could you ask for?!"

Ali is extremely skilled at what he does, although it can get quite busy at times. "Honestly, picked this spot on a whim heading down to La Jolla to visit my cousin, he wanted pho and this was next door! The prices were reasonable and we didn’t expect much. It was a cold and rainy day in San Diego so yes, everyone was getting pho! Needed the order on the fly, like less than 7 mins and they were super accommodating, when the lady asked what kind of spice, I let her decided and she went with the garlic soy! This place was soooo damn good! The combo was enough for my partner and I, the waffle fries were just like the chicken tenders, hot and crispy. The coleslaw was a bit sour which I liked.
