"My family has been dining in and ordering takeout from Happy Wok for many years. Everything is made fresh, and they are very flexible with substitutions. I love that this Chinese restaurant focuses on traditional dishes, especially since many people overlook the fact that Chinese cuisine is much healthier and more varied than just the usual sweet and sour chicken. Having lived in East Meadow for over 15 years, I've seen our community's outlook improve significantly, and I hope everyone continues to support this fantastic establishment with enthusiasm. "It's honestly pretty disappointing. But I called in yesterday to place a delivery order through grubhub and it was canceled the first time due to my location(yet I've had previous orders delivered to said address). The second time I called in to see why it was canceled again and they told me it was because they were not doing deliveries. So I ordered again and chose Pickup and my order was canceled again for not having ingredients. Today I chose pickup for the same things and they canceled again for not having ingredients. I was already out and drove back home, told my mother, and she decided she wanted chinese, called them and included the order I wanted. They had everything then and it was clear they lied to me, over and over. I called to see why they lied to me and they just repeatedly hung up on me. If it's the profits then ok, but no explanation is just a slap in the face."

"Last week I ordered Szechuan pork. They must have misunderstood my order because I received a dish of mostly vegetables with only a few pieces of pork. The portion of rice they gave me was enough to feed three people! This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants on George Dye Street. However, yesterday I ordered the house lo mein and it was disappointingly bland. I apologize, Great Wall, but I won't be returning here again."

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this Chinese restaurant. I’ve ordered from them multiple times, and each time has been a letdown. The food is consistently overly salty. However, today was the last straw. I sent my husband to pick up chicken with broccoli and white rice, and when he came home, the bag felt suspiciously light. Upon opening it, I realized they had prepared what could only be described as a child's meal for me. There were just six pieces of broccoli, all drenched in salty soy sauce, and a tiny portion of rice. And all of this cost $10! I cannot recommend this place at all. I will definitely not be going back, and they won’t be receiving another cent from me. I am extremely frustrated by how they take people's money while serving such subpar food."

"Those who say this place has good food clearly don’t eat out often. I ate here once, and even two years later, I’m still wondering why. They had the nerve to put up a sign claiming they serve brown rice—I ordered it, and it was severely overcooked. When you walk in, the person behind the counter doesn’t even smile. Everything they sell seems old and frozen, but I guess the neighborhood doesn’t have high standards, so they stay open. The dumplings were unbelievably stale."

"This place used to serve huge portions now they don't pack your rice quart up to the top , There egg rolls are like baby fingers everything they sell getting smaller and smaller and there prices are higher and higher they need to build a new Chinese restaurant near by with better portions . The delivery guy always charges you more than the bill is , not trying to be judgemental but I was out in Brooklyn the other day and bought a quart of chicken lo mein packed to the top delicious for 9.50 I was like wow thats how i remember it ....come on guys get it together your food is tasty but your slackin on your portions ."

"Ordered for delivery, only ordered two small items and it took over an hour and ten mins. Once the guy finally came, he was nasty, and proceeded to ask for a tip. Which I always thought was horrible to do. I gave him a tip but let him know he did indeed take over and hour to deliver it to us. He turned around, started sulking, and walked off. Truly disgusting behavior. P.S. don't ask for a tip and you'll probably get a nicer tip."

"I went inside to place a takeout order, and the bag was stapled, so I didn't check inside. When I got home, I realized there was no rice included with my General Tso Chicken. I called the restaurant, and the woman who answered said she would ask the chef. After a moment, she came back on the line and claimed that they had put the rice in my bag and even had a picture showing it was fried rice. However, the order was supposed to come with white rice. So here I am, stuck with overpriced, mediocre General Tso Chicken without any rice, and burnt egg rolls. I would recommend avoiding this place."

"I went in to ask for a menu, and she informed me that it was available online. After checking, I found the menu for baby shrimp and fries listed at $4.25 (same store, address, and phone number). However, when I arrived, she told me that the food cost almost $10 and claimed she never mentioned having an online menu! This was extremely unprofessional, rude, and misleading!"
