"We were very happy for the availability of a last minute reservation on Christmas Eve for a party of The ambiance was really nice; beautiful restaurant that’s nicely decorated. We were nicely greeted and seated on time at a well-placed table. The bread and appetizers were excellent. The grilled chicken (Kabobs) were also excellent. I had a prepared dish with lamb that was just okay. The service was friendly and quite good. There was live music which was also good and added to the evening. The prices seemed reasonable as well Overall, a nice dinner particularly if you stick with the grilled chicken kabobs for an entree. I don’t recommend the prepared lamb dishes that lacked flavor or tender lamb. It seems the dish wasn’t prepared with time to cook slowly and prepared by someone who’s not familiar with the required spices. This would be a place I’d highly recommend if they fix this aspect of the food."

"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant since I recently moved to the area. I was very impressed with the food. The zucchini pancakes were delicious and cooked perfectly. Although the lamb burger wasn't amazing, they followed my instructions exactly - no cheese and well-done meat. I appreciate their attention to detail. The order arrived on time, within an hour. I had asked the delivery person to leave the food with the concierge in the lobby to avoid bothering them, but he still came up to my apartment and politely knocked on my door twice when I didn't hear him the first time. I give them 5 stars for their efforts to go above and beyond."

"Came here with my husband, our oldest son, oldest daughter and my sister for dinner before a concert and also as an early bday dinner for my sister. Service was great and the food was amazing! From the bread to the Hummus, to the lamb and knafeh,everything was delicious! We ordered multiple appetizers, 5 different entrées and 6 desserts,we all but licked the plates clean! "I was so excited to eat here, the reviews were great, the lines are long and the owner is very personable, but the food was surprisingly bland! We tried 5 vegan dishes and none were very good (and the 4 hummus types in the rainbow hummus were pleasant, but weren’t even as good as Sabra, that makes me sad)! I was so excited to visit this restaurant, but was very underwhelmed. However, it does have pretty decor, though I don’t think I’ll go again. FYI, it’s a dry restaurant."

"Solid grilled octopus. Grilled mixed kebabs with. Yogurt very tasty. The restaurant although perfectly clean and well kept still, feels sad. Possibly lack of diners. 1979 display of bulb lit cocktails on bar are somehow out of place in an neighborhood with so many great cocktails. I've been coming her for 10 years to scratch the itch for the cuisine. So I'll be back, if they want the cool kids , modernize interior not cuisine."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"We ordered the brandino and the mixed grill. Food was really good. We had the kunafe (didn’t take a pic) for dessert, not the best we’ve had, especially for the price, but the food was on point. The service was really good too, our server offered to have the fish cut for us so that we didn’t have to deal with the bones, which I thought was a great option. Would definitely come again."

"It was my first time coming to and eating at the Pita House. Not only was the food SO good, but the service was amazing. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly and the owner Goff (I hope I am spelling this correctly came over to the table to talk and get to know us. They both checked in regularly to make sure everything was tasting good, and to continue our conversation. I would come back every day if I could. : P. S. The red lentil soup was some of the best soup I’ve ever eaten in my life!!"

"I have not visited the restaurant, so this review is based solely on their service. I had made a reservation for the May long weekend but was unable to go due to personal reasons. Since the restaurant closes at 8, the staff called me a couple of times asking to move the reservation earlier for mutual convenience. I appreciated their thoughtfulness in making sure the customer was aware of their closing time and having the food prepared before our arrival. I will definitely dine at this restaurant next time I am in Vermont."

"The Mixed Grill is fantastic! If it's your first time having Turkish food and you don't know what to choose, the platter gives you a generous amount of the most popular meats in The Turk's repertoire, so you don't have to choose one and worry you might not like it as much as another (which I realized wasn't a problem after I had some because they were all delicious They also have an awesome host. I was picking my food up and he greeted me and let me know my food would be out in a couple minutes. He offered me Turkish tea (on the house! and brought it out in a to-go cup for me to take in the car once my food was ready. While I sipped my tea and waited another customer came in to order food to go. The host helped the customer with figuring out what she wanted and since it was her first time, he gave her a dessert to take home and try, also on the house! The Turk has tasty food, kind staff, and I can't wait for my next meal there."

"We visit this restaurant at least 3-4 times a year because we have a large family and we love their food. However, our experience this time was disappointing. I've never been treated like this before; I had to ask the waitress multiple times to take our order, even though she was just standing around. The bread, which is usually amazing, was cold today. When I requested fresh bread instead, she completely ignored me. We also asked for water, but it took a long time to receive it. The food took a long time to arrive as well. Normally, I recommend this place to all my friends, but the service today was terrible and we felt largely ignored. I'm really upset about what happened."

"We were intrigued by the photos and description. This was some of the best Turkish food to be found outside of Istanbul. Borek and calamari appetizers were generous portions and prepared beautifully. Lamb shish was outstanding. Service was attentive and gracious, except at very end when we needed our check quickly. The live jazz was part of the attraction, and the music was lovely. The piano is at the front, with the bar between it and the dining area. Since we indicated our interest in the music, we were seated just beyond the bar. Not sure how well patrons farther back could her, but their conversations were not hindered. Decor feels like Istanbul in the 1920s. Highly recommended."

"This is the best place to eat near the Rutgers campus and Easton Avenue! The food is fantastic—fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are always friendly, and the prices are reasonable for such authentic cuisine. You really can't ask for more. I highly recommend the Gyro Sandwich; it’s not too gamey at all. The Sutlac is amazing—trust me, you have to try it! And don’t forget the baklava; those little pastries are delightful! Everything here is so healthy, too!"

"Came here on May 22nd for dinner with a friend. Food was just decent, overpriced for what you get. My friend used to come here often for lunch and said their hummus is not as good as it used to be, and portions noticeably smaller. Server was very sweet. For some reason, there was no tap water available for dine-in at the tables. It was something like $4 or $5 for a drink, canned soda or bottled water (not any fancy kind, either). This is the first time I've ever encountered a sit down restaurant in NYC that has no tap water provided for customers. Would never come back."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I absolutely loved my experience here! MashaAllah ! As soon as I walked in this restaurant, I was greeted with a kind good afternoon. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. I was seated immediately with no wait time, my waitress so so friendly and she was always present I didn't have to wonder where she went. The food came out within a reasonable time. I ordered their feta cheese plate, which was so savory with the added olives and olive oil. After wards I ordered the sirloin steak with rice, the steak was cooked to perfection and the spices were amazing. For desert I had the turkish coffee with baklava, the baklava was so crispy and crunchy and satisfying. I would recommend this establishment to everyone ! Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, and amazing, high quality food. 10/10 amazing."
