"I have to admit, this was not a restaurant that I took seriously...like, classified as a solid seafood joint. Probably because the branding is so laid back and silly. But I am wrong. The food here is legit. Last night, my wife and I were turned away from two other seafood restaurants for not having reservations. No problem, there are staffing shortages everywhere, so it 's hard to accept walk-ins. So we turned to Joe 's Crab Shack with slightly lower expectations. We were immediately seated and then welcomed by our friendly server. I think her name was Marty? She was terrific-attentive and nice without being overbearing. It wasn 't long before our food was delivered to the table-and we were both drooling with excitement. First, the portion sizes are very generous. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned well and cooked just the way we like it. Truly, the meal rivaled what we would have had at a fancy restaurant. If you want good seafood, don 't turn up your nose at Joe 's. He does fish right."
