"This used to be one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. In the past (10 years ago) I brough guest from Tokyo, who said it compared to the best in Japan. After not going for years, I went with I friend I used to visit the restaurant who was in from out of town. We went to recapture the magic, but it is gone. Where the sushi bar used to be packed with busy sushi chefs talking enthusiastically in Janpanese, there were only 5 guest seated and the bar, and the kitchen pace was lethargic. The food was uninspired and representative of an average neighbor sushi restaurant. Also, although less than have full on a San Franciso Wednesday evening that was gorgeous, it was hard to hear because of the background noise (no sound abatement, all hard surfaces). I recall it being much easier to hear in the old days when it was packed and jumping. This restaurant its tired. There is much better to be had in San Franciso."
