"Ebisu is a great sushi restuarant that needs to find itself. The menu is over the top huge (which usually scares me)but the sushi/sashimi selection was excellent. The service was slow to start but once our waitress was engaged, she was right on. The atmosphere was quite and clean. We tried a variety of sashimi and nigiri, all of which was fresh and delicious. Our favorites were the o toro, salmon belly, hamachi belly, and monk fish liver a rare find!. If you're a sushi/sashimi purist, then you'll appreciate this place."

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"We all ordered dishes that had codfish included. I had the tacos, And my table mates had the fish and chips. Presentation is beautiful, I’d give that a five. Service is wonderful. I’d give that a 5+ but the fish was not good. I felt like I was biting into a mushy mashed potato taco. Although the fish and chips started out great halfway through they too experienced mushy fish. Must’ve been a bad fish day. Overall the view, the service and the ambience made up for the bad food but we probably wouldn’t go back or at least not order the codfish again."

"Our family enjoyed the outdoor seating and the waiters did a great job of quickly pushing other tables in when it was raining out of the blue. We were under an umbrella and a big tree and didn't have to move and the rain stopped quickly. Our teenage kids weren't in many nice restaurants and they loved the creative starters, especially the homemade croutons on the Caesar salad, delicious! We all had very good meals and were too full for dessert, which is unfortunate because I have eaten the chocolate bread pudding with baileys before and it is divine! There are so many tasty options and we enjoyed the scallops as well as the duck, key lime chicken and the flank. You can't go wrong!"

"I have a thought: yakisoba is a simple dish. It typically consists of noodles, some vegetables, and a protein, all sautéed in a little oil with soy sauce and fresh ginger. It's an easy recipe that can be quite balanced. However, my experience was far from that ideal. What I received was a bowl of boiled noodles drowning in a thick layer of Yoshida's Teriyaki sauce, paired with half of a divided boneless chicken breast and a bowl of lukewarm rice. I suppose the dish needed more seasoning to really shine, but the yakisoba I got fell short. Honestly, it was very disappointing! My dining companion opted for udon, and his dish was just as lackluster. The broth was bland, and the udon noodles were unremarkable—there was simply nothing special about them. To top it off, we were offered sushi at the entrance, but if you're going to serve food, it should have some passion behind it. I spoke to our waiter about the situation, but he didn’t offer to address our leftovers or the poor quality of our meals. Neither of us could manage more than a few bites. I suggested it would be fair not to pay for dishes we found unacceptable, but all he did was take away one of our items—the cheapest, a tempura. Ironically, that turned out to be the sole bright spot of our experience; the tempura was decent. Sadly, I won’t be returning to Sushi Domo. I genuinely believe they can do much better than this."

"Was reluctant to try this sushi spot since it looked tucked away in a plaza. Tried it out of whim with my gf. We both got bento boxes with came with salad, soup, and 2 proteins. Also had the hulk roll and a tempura roll. Steak in my bento was dry and chewy. The rolls were really good though. The plating was beautiful aswell.only this is our waiter only came to our table once, She didnt stop by to ask how we were or if we needed more drinks/ refills. I saw her standing by the POS system the entire time laughing and talking to some other waiters. Im guessing the owner knows about this because she was at the front and didnt say anything. Food was good, did not get sick. Service was ok, will be back hopefully its better then but for now 4 stars on food. 3 star Service"

"We arrived at 1, knowing that they close at 2:30, figuring that was plenty of time for our lunch. We could not find the entrance, as we approached from the street rather than from the parking lot. Finally we entered from the patio, and came into a nearly empty restaurant. There were only two other people there at that time. We ordered and were served quickly. The food was good, but pricey. We had one large (Dragon) roll and a 3-item bento box, one hot tea and one iced tea, and the bill came to $39.70. At 1:40 the waitress brought the check to the table and said they were closing out, could we please pay! When I questioned the time, she said they wanted to close early. So we felt rushed."

"Some of the best Katsu dishes in the city! We always end up getting at least one full chicken or pork katsu along with sushi and their delicious appetizers. I had my parents try katsu from the first time here and they've fallen in love with the dish as well. I only wish they gave you more sauce on the side with it! Their sushi is some of the best in the northland. We've tried several of their specialty sushi rolls. We love several of them including the one with steak- it's worth it!"

"We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was pretty spicy. Each person ordered a different type of enchiladas and tacos and then we exchanged ideas so everyone could try different types. We got separated quickly, which would be good for people who get engaged in the evening. Our only complaint was that it was loud quickly which made it difficult to hear yourself at our table."

"Was visiting Camarillo area with the family to visit friends, and we decided to eat here since the reviews mentioned a conveyor belt for sushi, and having been stationed in Japan, we missed those types of sushi places where you can pick plates off the conveyor belt and pay for the plates you pick. Unfortunately, the conveyor belt is shut down as a COVID precaution, which is understandable but still disappointing, so we ordered sushi rolls which were really good.I enjoyed the cherry roll and honeymoon roll, while my wife had the shrimp tempura roll and an order of baked green mussels. The food we ordered was outstanding. My daughter played it safe with the California roll, which she thoroughly enjoyed with gyoza as an appetizer. The kids' menu selections were very limited with only two choices, a chicken teriyaki bento plate or beef beef teriyaki bento plate which also comes with miso soup. If your kids really enjoy teriyaki which my middle son does, then the amount of food for the price $9.99 is a great deal...the bento has tempura shrimp and vegetables and a single gyoza, rice, and the aforementioned soup. My youngest son, however, made due with the grilled salmon bowl. He is usually a big fan of grilled salmon marinated in mirin, which is what most Japanese restaurants serve, but the grilled salmon here didn't hit the spot for him. The grilled salmon bowl was the only miss in all the dishes we had.Hopefully next time we visit the conveyor belt is back in action. As a regular sushi restaurant, the sushi is good and are the highlight as they should be. The fish to rice ratio was just right and definitely satisfies that sushi craving if you're in the area.Kid-friendliness: Very limited kids' menu selection, consisting of a chicken teriyaki or beef teriyaki bento meal. However, the value for the amount of food for the kids'meal if they like teriyaki is really good. Servers were friendly towards children."

"This is a regular place for us but it wasnt up to par this last time. The service was not very attentive and slow. Portion sizes were smaller than normal. We ordered a cooked yellowtail which was inedible, very fishy, poorly seasoned and poorly cooked. The spicy calamri we normally get was rubbery. while the sushi was fine and as good as usual everything else was subpar. Maybe they were just having a bad night but it was disappointing."

"My friend and I went out for a Saturday night and fell in love with AMAEBI. The restaurant was almost empty, which made us nervous for a weekend, but we like it anyway not crowded places and it turned out that there was no big deal. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed two reels and some sashimi. The Sashimi was fresh and tasty – especially the yellow tail. The cook even gave us a free bite of salmon-sashimi that he tore the top and there was a kind of sauce on and it was so delicious. With affordable prices and delicious food I definitely go back."

"The food was incredible! The entire staff consistently checked in to ensure I had everything I needed. The location is perfect, right across from public parking and other restaurants. It’s an ideal spot, and I would definitely return. I tried the house specialty with lychee; I’m usually not a fan, but it was really good, especially for someone new to it. Next, I ordered the roasted mussels and salmon carpaccio; both were unique and delicious. I then sought the waiter’s recommendation for a special roll since there were so many options on the menu. She suggested the salmon crunch based on my preferences. If you enjoy crispy French onions, you’ll love this roll, especially with the spicy mayo!"
