"While the hardcover has some nice dishes, it lacks the basic consistency that would make it a solid 4 star restaurant. Firstly, service was good- our waiter was nice and prompt, and the staff seemed friendly. The location itself inside the restaurant is a bit cramped but cozy. Its definitely loud inside at busy times. The salad bar and bread in my opinion are underwhelming for a restaurant of this price range. While the self serve style is in theory a nice idea, it reminded me a lot of the corner of my college dining hall (nothing against salad bars, I just think they could do something more with it). I wish the bread was warmer or toasted or something. The beef Wellington was very good. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, flavorful and perfectly sized. For people specifically looking for a wellington I would recommend this place. The teriyaki steak is also good. Sadly, while the baked chicken was good, the linguini served it had too much pasta and too little sauce. This made it a chore to eat (though the asparagus and mushroom paired well). The salmon was sort of bland-i’d like to say good meat will stand on its own but it appeared to be “seasoned with air”. Not tragic but not inspiring. The baked haddock was nice. I understand the value of simplicity but the boiled vegetables and baked potatoes weren’t really doing it for me at this price of restaurant. I understand this isnt quite fine dining, but I would expect some more consistency and refinement for this type of restaurant. I was happy about the beef wellington though!"

"Last night was probably the last time I will give this place a chance. It had been almost two months since the last visit, which is a shame because we used to visit twice a month. The pro's are that it still has a decent salad bar, which there aren't many left. The restaurant is clean, the sauces are good. The fried shrimp dinner is usually pretty good, have had one or two times where it's a little soggy, the cocktail leaves a lot to be desired though. Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros. The all you can eat St.Louis ribs are so frequently tough, there has been the rare occasion where they are falling off the bone , but I haven't had that for quite a while. Last night I had the all you can eat chicken (24.99!! , and a salad bar (5.99 . The white meat was so dry I nearly choked on it, so I requested dark meat only afterwards. The first portion came out barely lukewarm, the reorders were better. But geez, $30 for chicken, that is cut oddly leaving little bits of bone on every other bite, the value simply is not there. I would rather spend $30 on a nice steak at Longhorn or Webbers. The sides...French fries are crinkle cut , and I have been served old fries before, they gave me fresh fries after complaining. The bean recipe is ehh, mostly it comes out thick like it's been in the warmer too long. The green beans are horrid every time I've had them. The garlic toast is good. The corn on the cob is fried and void of any seasoning. I used to really like this place, but I think I'm done with them. In order to get any good BBQ I think I will have to travel to St. Augustine."
