"My first time in IL, and this is the first place I got food and was highly disappointed!!!! I ordered the smoked salmon and crab salad through door dash on today 10/11/23 4:30pm. Food came at 5:30 pm. The timeframe was not the issue, but the salmon was cold like it came straight out of the fridge and the crab salad was nothing but celery and mayonnaise. I don’t like leaving bad reviews so I called to get an explanation. The lady who answered says that we should’ve selected an option for hot food which was not an option on doordash. She then told me that she was trying to help other customers and that I would need to hold, In those exact words. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. I’m from sc and to serve cold meat is against health department code , but I’m not sure how this works in IL. Regardless, I was very disappointed and disgusted and I’m going to BBB next. If she had a better attitude the issue could have been resolved, but she made me seem as though my issue was irrelevant. "We attended an event at this restaurant, and despite the large crowd we created, the general manager and the staff were fantastic and managed the busy hours exceptionally well. I tried a level 3 Hurricane, and it was just right, paired with a few beers. I had planned to order the alligator tacos, but they were unavailable due to supply chain issues. However, the GM highly recommended the Mahi Melt, and I'm so glad I took his advice. My taste buds were in heaven! It was probably one of the best meals I had during my six-day stay. I was a bit hesitant at first, as I wouldn't normally choose a grilled cheese with fish, but the combination of their cheese selection, sourdough bread, and other delicious ingredients turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. It was so delicious that I forgot to snap a picture before I had eaten half of the sandwich! Even if you don't plan on eating, I recommend stopping by for the amazing atmosphere and enjoying a drink."

"After many negative reviews I have read from this place, I was skeptical. But I have such a pleasant place in my heart for NOLA and saw a show next door, I had to let her run and very happy I did! Bomb Happy Hour and food, drinks and service are all legit. I had 3 courses to try so many things. The gum is good, not great, but very good. Everyone knows that the secret for a boy is bread. Bob's very good again, not great. After this 2 I had a small order of NOLA-style grill shrimps. They were great!!! For NOLA style in Denver, this place makes it all very good. It would be good at Poydras or Bienville, but it's GREAT in downtown Denver!"

"I'd say this place is a hidden gem of Hilton Head but the line in the parking lot says it's more popular than ever. This is for good reason; The Sea Shack is the best place you can go for high quality seafood of all kinds with a relaxed atmosphere. Go early and be prepared to wait as this is a small restaurant and very busy at all times. My family has been vacationing in Hilton Head for a decade plus and we always come here each trip. There's nothing bad on the menu but I prefer to get everything fried and the shrimp are my favorite. Great sweet tea and the key lime pie is delicious too.
