"Ordered once before, and it was sooooo good! Got the family pack with the 2 sides, Brunswick stew, pork, and buns. The family loved it! This visit, after we had been on a motorcycle all day, we just wanted a place to go inside, visit, and just relax. The ladies are so nice. The inside has some really cool memorabilia! There is so much to see and check out! I ordered some bbq wings, while hubby debated on some hickory fries. Both were appetizers, and he was worried about the size served. He wanted it as his dinner. BOY HOWDY, lol. The serving size was more than enough for a meal! And it was sooo good!!!"

"Today, we stopped by Southern Lady for lunch, and I was really impressed with their food bar. They offered a variety of meats, breads, vegetables, and cobblers. We tried the fried shrimp with all the sides, and I can honestly say they were the best shrimp I’ve ever had! Although the restaurant was busy, there was still plenty of space to enjoy our meal comfortably. They have a different special each day, so I think there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our meal for two cost less than $14. We will definitely be returning!"

"Only reason I’m giving the extra star is because the food was fresh and hot. But other than that if you have a sensitivity to MOLD I would stay away!! The ceiling tiles are covered in mold! Had I looked up as soon as I walked in, I would’ve just walked right back out. But I didn’t notice it until I sat down to eat with my family. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of this place but I was very hungry and ready to get out of there. The older woman working behind the counter was having a terrible time getting the younger employees to do what they were suppose to do. I filled my cup up with Coke and took one sip and it had zero carbonation to it. I went to the counter to see if they could fill up my cup from the drive thru and 2 people looked at me and just turned around. I finally had to say to the older lady working “Ma’am!” Just to get her attention. Everybody else working was young and just looked like they would rather be anywhere but there. I literally asked my husband if they were all in slow motion or something because nobody had a sense of urgency to get everybody’s order ready. They had quite a rush when we got there. I heard the lady tell one of the young guys at least 5 times they were out of drumsticks. But just for the mold, I’ll never come back."

"Wow! We had an amazing dinner and evening at El Mezcal last Friday! After taking a ride on our new motorcycle, we felt the warm, balmy weather and wanted to enjoy a cool drink. We parked right up front and chose to sit outside on the patio. I ordered the Bowden special, which came with chicken, steak, and shrimp, while my boyfriend opted for their famous Carnitas Green Tacos—though I can't recall the exact name, they were absolutely delicious. We both savored each other's mouth-watering choices. The portions were very generous, leaving us with plenty to take home. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the 1800 Margarita Especial was superb! I can't wait to go back! It's a great find in such a friendly city!"
