"there are so many things that i can say about this location but its nothing short of spectacular. I grew up in Winthrop I remember when this location used to be a McDonalds long time ago and i must say the best thing to come into Winthrop is nicks place. I remember in middle school I would walk to nicks place with my friends and order a sandwich and sit down and eat. The food was always amazing the staff was always kind. Forward now many years later and i can honestly say the same thing all over again. Although ive grown up and moved away from Winthrop i always find myself coming back to get a nice hot and fresh meal. I now live in Beverly and i still will make the drive from time to time to go eat inside nicks! I’ve brought my parents my grandparents other family members my old manager and friends on many different occasions to nicks place because i know it wont disappoint when they order. Because i live far ive tried other nick’s restaurants that are closer to me but nothing compares to Winthrop not in ambiance and not in food so the trip is a must from time to time. Yesterday i was feeling a little home sick i missed spending time with my mother and grandmother so i decided to pick them up and take them to nicks. When i tell you the experience was nothing short of amazing i mean it. GABRIELLE was awesome we ordered our food and sat down and Gabrielle took care of us the whole time. She remembered me from previous times that ive been there she held up great conversation and brought our food out and treats to the table she made sure everything was neat and clean she was very attentive and kind it made the experience so much better. I seen her work at other tables too she gave the same energy all around. They have another woman who waits tables she is Albanian her name escapes me but shes great as well every time i go she treats myself and my family so kind its honestly a breathe of fresh air to get that kind of treatment. Now the food i ordered a fishermans platter and a lobster mac and cheese the fishermans platter never disappoints im so picky when it comes to fish like the minute it starts to taste “fishy” im done. The fishermans plate has never had that oder when ive ordered it its always tasted fresh and tasty. The lobster mac is my weakness i love mac and cheese and the tender lobster thats on it will leave your mouth drooling. The mac and cheese is definitely a shareable plate its very rich and creamy so you can be satisfied without finishing the whole thing. So i always have left overs to take home and trust it taste good reheated too! Ive ordered a bunch or different foods from them there is definitely something there for everyone the staff behind the desk works really hard and efficient you can tell the place is a well oiled machine. I normally dont leave this detailed of a review but i do believe this place deserves it again i been going here for years moved away and i still find myself coming back so its a well worth review."

"We came here for Sunday brunch. Everything was wonderful. It was served family style. You could ask for more of anything you wanted. Fruit, pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, steak, ham, turkey...there was a small buffet type line you could go up to at any time to have an omelette or Belgian waffle made. With the brunch you got a complimentary glass of champagne as well. There was also a large table of fabulous deserts. Our server was excellent. I would recommend checking this restaurant out!"

"We came here for dinner 10/11/24 There was no wait time, we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was really cool. Staff was patient and kind. The menu and drink selections were plentiful and the food was amazing. The bread bowl trencher with stew, chefs kiss. The portion size was generous and the bill wasn’t bad. "I had a delicious meal at this restaurant. I ordered the bison burger and also enjoyed the salad that came with it. To top it off, we had table top s'mores for dessert. The atmosphere and service were fantastic as well."

"Asked about dairy allergy and server tried to tell us all bread has dairy the item in question was brioche which is dairy, but simply wanted to substitute white bread or roll) to which she questioned me and said all bread has dairy.Pulled pork was worse than theme park food, ordered a dozen wings and only got 6, and again rather than offering to check with the kitchen got told we can't eat bread and we're wrong even though my girlfriend is the one living with the allergies; I know what she can and cannot eat, as well as the standard ingredients for normal bread lol. Overpriced as well, and water cups were stuck when we sat down to a clearly dirty table wouldn't care but cups were upside down so the part you sip was stuck to table from filth)"

"Great little place! Food is a little slow to come out but the quality is there for the price point. I got the chicken Parm special on Saturday and the chicken was good, but the sauce had hardly any flavor like it was watered down, which most likely it was (I used to be a cook for 14 years and I know that flavor anywhere). The ice cream is fantastic and the cookie ice cream sandwich is massive! All in all, service can be slow but if you're looking to fill up for cheap this place is good. Parking: Limited spaces so time your visit accordingly. Kid-friendliness: They love kids, my daughter likes it there."

"Waited 25 minutes after being seated before anyone even noticed. Tried making eye contact to no avail. Had to talk with the hostess to get a waiter. Appetizer came out promptly. It was the house smokes salmon and it was exceptional delicious. Good mix of smoke and salt. Unfortunately one of the main course was incorrect when brought out so we waited again for the rest of the meal. My husband had the ribeye which was good. I eventually got the salmon oscar which was perfectly prepared. It did not have the Brussels sprouts that I see in other pictures. The live band was very entertaining. The sound level of the band was perfect. Maybe the poor service was just a fluke but at those prices I would have expected better."

"My friend and I took the kids away for a couple of nights, and since the restaurant at our accommodation was closed for the evening, we had to go out in search of dinner. Fortunately, we found a great spot where Jason was our bartender, and he was fantastic. He recommended some excellent dishes, and every suggestion he made was spot on. The Buffalo wings were outstanding, and the kids absolutely loved their burgers! The fresh, handmade beef patties paired with grilled buns were a game changer! The shredded chicken on the Caesar salad was also delicious. The restaurant was quite busy, as things tend to wind down around 8 or 9 PM in that area. Overall, we enjoyed great food, excellent service, and very reasonable prices! Thanks again, Jason—we'll definitely be returning!"

"we went to Mancy’s with high expectations, but they were anything but fulfilled. for beginners, the water is not even drinkable. that made me worry about the rest of our meal, wondering how they might cook something decent with it. Surprisingly, the garnel cocktail was good. it included four large garnels and a cocktail sauce. I can't say that the garnels were all these tasteful, but they were cooked properly and we are fresh with good texture. "Our NYE experience was lovely. Right when you walk it, you're met with the smells of richly cooked seafood, delightful carbs and fresh prepared ingredients. We sat at the bar which I would highly recommend for first dates or couples. We made a reservation and it seemed like that was the norm. The staff was great, gave tons of recommendations (including wine and cocktail pairings) and we got to be part of the fun of the busy night! Our meal was the New Year's set menu but everyone sitting around us got dishes from the normal menu and loved them as well! Definitely felt comfortable being more dressed up but nicer casual wouldn't be too out of place. Highly recommend, we will be going back!"

"We went there for my birthday and anniversary. The food was terrible! My wife got the appetizer which consisted of salmon that was supposedly house cured in cognac. It was just plain raw salmon. She sent it back. I got the 8oz prime rib. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli and cauliflower. The vegetables were way over cooked! They were mushy and no seasoning. The mashed potatoes were glazed over and pasty. The the meat was ok. The manager came over and I showed her the vegetables and potatoes. Her reply was...I like my vegetables like that. WHAT?? Who eats dead vegetables. Then she told us that those vegetables and potatoes were from that morning! WHAT!! This is 8pm.... Left over veggies and potatoes? Now how long does it take to steam fresh vegetables and make fresh potatoes. Very disappointed. Maybe lunch is better since everything is fresh then but dinner sucks. And will not go back. Hopefully their other food is better than this."

"Holy cow! I needed some food to make me feel better and had a craving either a sausage biscuit or biscuits with gravy. Gloria's came through with their Texas eggs benedict, a halved biscuit with sausage and poached egg on each half, covered in sausage gravy and a side of hashbrowns. It was so good! I took mine to go but there was plenty of room inside to eat without being too near other people. SO GOOD! Update: I ate here again and got pancakes and bacon the pancakes were amazing but don't pay extra for fruit topping, it wasn't much worth it. But the bacon! A side order is about 4 strips of thick, crispy bacon. It was a huge pile. I also got a cookie to go and it wasn't the best ever but it was pretty good."

"The portion sizes were very large. You are a little expensive $15-20 a plate, but you will definitely get your money worth. We ate here on holiday and had enough food for the next day. Not to mention it is super tasty and tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone in the Hilton head. You won't regret it! The staff was also very attentive and friendly. Would go back if I had the chance."

"The host and server were very friendly, but the food was only mediocre. It was disappointing to find that every dish we ordered was greasy and lackluster. The Turkey Club looked impressive at first glance, but unfortunately, it was mostly bread with very little protein. The traditional burger was simple and unremarkable, while the Smashpee burger stood out as the best dish at our table. The Calamari appetizer was tender, but it was overwhelmed by too much Mayo aioli. Overall, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant. However, we commend the young woman who greeted us and served our table with a smile and great personality, despite being clearly overwhelmed with her many tables. Her excellent service deserves recognition, even if we cannot remember her name."

"Normally we enjoy Beach Tavern, but tonight was way off- from staff, to mediocre food and even a bug. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold; when I asked for it to be warmer our server told me there was nothing that could be done, and the door was already open The air conditioner was on, so there is definitely something that could have been done. As far as the food, the little neck raw clams were excellent and shucked properly. Chopped salad and coconut shrimp sushi was fair- nothing special nor memorable about either; but nothing bad either. The restaurant was well staffed but our server was not attentive nor helpful. Sadly, towards the end of the meal, I found a bug in my glass of water and asked the waiter to take the glass away. When I pointed out the bug to him, there was no apology or concern given. All-in-all, Beach Tavern was always a solid option for me; I will think again before I return and when/if I do I will definitely bring a scarf and/or a jacket because wearing a sweater indoors on a 70 degree night did not suffice."

"Had a great dinner on a night for an event at Honda Center. Restaurant was busy but they have a lot of seating. Big parking lot that is busy but we found a spot. Salmon Risotto was excellent and recommend the chilled shrimp too. Our server Amalie was great and very attentive even though she was busy. Food and service was great. This restaurant is my go to for Events at Honda Center or Anaheim Stadium."

"We visited this establishment on Tuesday 7 November for dinner due to a $60 comp. We were seated right away. It took awhile to get our beverage order. After that everything flowed. I ordered the patty melt and my wife got the mushroom Swiss burger both were $20.99 each. The order didn’t take long and the food was hot especially the fries which had a nice crispy texture which I usually judge while eating first. Our server kept checking on us. On the way out we saw a back seating area which is more appealing if you don’t care for the smoke which I would of preferred. We wished we would of shared as there was plenty of food and it always gives another option to try another place if sharing."

"Stopped in Friday night March 1. Had a reservation but no tables were available when we got there. Decided to sit at the bar. We were a little worried about noise as there was a full rock band there but they were very good! No idea who they were.We both got tuna wraps and a drink. The bartenders and servers were all friendly.Will go back. Would like it if their website showed who the band was on 3/1 as we would like to see them again!"

"Great atmosphere and location! Unfortunately that’s where my good ratings end. We went here 3 times on our vacation since it was conveniently located near where we stayed. Majority of staff members we encountered seemed annoyed/unhappy with their jobs. The food was meh. I will say the coconut shrimp was tasty, as was the kalua pork sandwich and hula pie! The fish tacos were plain old disappointing the fish was watery and drippy to the point that my tortillas were soaked and falling apart before I could even finish half of one. They also had no crema or good sauce. What really sealed the deal for me to not return, however, was the cheeseburger I ordered it medium well, but it came rare. I do not like to return food so I just dealt with it which was a bad choice as it gave me food poisoning. Was not happy to pay all that money only to spend the night in the bathroom vomiting. You can do better Dukes!"
