"Upon our arrival, the restaurant could not locate our reservation that had been made through OpenTable. We were informed that they had not been working with OpenTable for the past three months. Despite our surprise, we were told that we were only the second customers that day who had made a reservation through OpenTable. We were informed that we would have to wait 45 minutes. We decided to wait and proceeded to have our meal. Can someone clarify who is correct in this situation - OpenTable or Clay Pit?"

"I absolutely love Kitchen Sunnyside for Marin Doordash! It is one of my favorite places to order from regularly. The quality is consistently top-notch, with a creative kitchen using the freshest ingredients. Some of my favorite dishes include their delicious quesadilla with bacon, overflowing avocado toast, Athenian scramble, avocado salad with a variety of ingredients, and citron french toast. I appreciate being able to order breakfast items for dinner as well. I feel fortunate to have Kitchen Sunnyside as a dependable option for my meals, and I am already looking forward to my next order very soon!"

"First time back after Covid and was sad to learn the place had changed ownership. They still had desserts and a salad bar. The familiar dishes were still on the buffet. However, the taste isn’t how I remembered it to be. A little bit bland. Also, their mango ice cream, an old time favorite tasted more of cream than mango. They still provide naan on the side but this time, we only got 2 pieces of naan( 1/2 of a naan each). Staff looked angry and not at all attentive. In the past, if we ran out of naan, the kind lady would ask if we needed more naan. I won’t return."

"Our experience dining at this restaurant was less than ideal. The server who took our order seemed in need of more training. We ordered Masala dosa and chicken Biryani, but when the food was served, we requested some chutney for the dosa, which was not brought to us. Dosa is typically served with chutney, so it felt incomplete without it. Despite doing the necessary work, the server seemed to forget about our table, not coming back to offer us water a second time. When we finished our meal, he simply brought the check without addressing our previous request. When I reminded him about the missing chutney, he arrogantly replied that he was busy and therefore forgot. It was disappointing to see him only focusing on taking orders from other tables and neglecting our needs. If I had the option, I would give this restaurant a rating of 0 stars. "I ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic bread. Both are bad chicken tikka is not chicken tikka its just boiled chicken in sweet sause and the garlic bread does not have the garlic taste at all. And the quantity of tikka masala is just not enough for the price. Very bad experience ordering food here. Service: Delivery Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1"

"I was in the mood for Indian food and found this place. I ordered my food online and ordered the Saag Aloo. When I arrived, I parked on the mini parking lot. I went in and gave the man my name. He gave me my food and I left. When I ate, the boy was good at eating. I never had Saag Aloo and it wasn't disappointed. It had the right aromas and spices. The only problem is that I was surprised with a seed from the season in my food and it was not delicious. Besides, I really enjoyed my meal. I would definitely return."

"Food is excellent. Service, however, was not. We waited a long time for someone to come over and at the end we were forgotten about. I will say our server was friendly and appeared she was between the two restaurants. No one appeared to be running everything. Overall disappointing, food saved it though. If I go back, takeout is the way to go."

"We have ordered from this place for the past 10 years. They must have changed the chef or management in the last few months. So disappointed. First sign that things weren’t as they used to be is that there was no “Indian food” smell to the food at all!! One of the best thing when you pick up food is how great it smells in your car when you’re driving home in anticipation of a great meal. This time… nothing..And then there is the food itself. The onion chutney, which used to be so awesomely spicy that you could handle just a tiny bit.. no spice at all. No taste.. just blah onions. The chicken tikka masala.. instead of a thick, yummy sauce we got some runny consistency something that had no flavor at all. Trader Joe’s version is 10 times better. Lamb briani had 0 flavor.. it had heat, weirdly enough, but no actual flavor. The meat samosas and garlic naan were not bad. But certainly not worth the $65 we paid for dinner. This place used to be great. So disappointing. Never again."

"As an appetizer, I got the Vegetarian Platter: Onion Bhaji, Veggie Pakora, 2 Vegetable Samosas $12. I really enjoyed the Onion Bhaji Veggie Pakora; both were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The Vegetable Samosas were good, but I wasn't a fan of their tamarind sauce, at all. It was way too tart and had no hint of the sweetness that I like in my tamarind sauces. My main entree was the vegan Aloo Saag $14, which I ordered spicy/hot. It was ok, but it was too dry and it had zero spice. I have had delicious vegan Aloo Saag at other restaurants, so they cannot use the excuse that the lack of cream is the culprit. I have no idea where the spice went, but none of it went into my dish. I was very disappointed, and it was certainly not worth $14. I was told that the only vegan bread options were the roti and the Aloo Pratha. I don't like roti so I got the Aloo Pratha $5. The bread was hard (too difficult to cut) and not tasty. I had issues with their cleanliness. When we arrived at the dinner opening time, we were the first ones there. The benches had not been cleaned or wiped down from the lunch crowd (which was about 3 hours earlier). I had to ask the waiter to wipe the seats. Also, there was some sort of food in my water glass. I had to ask for a new glass. Lastly, I saw a guy get hired immediately after about a 2 minute interview, which was cool. It was not cool to see him immediately start waiting tables and he was holding one tables' water glasses against his shirt! I think the manager said something because the new guy then placed the already tainted glasses on a tray. The prices were too high for the quality (of food service) and amount of food that you get. It is unlikely that I will re visit."

"The curries, pakoras, and naan were excellent, and our daughter who's a fussy eater loved their rice, kashmiri naan, and aloo tikki. Our vegetable masala and shrimp masala were delicious. It was odd that the very spicy was very spicy and the medium spicy wasn't spicy at all. The service was a little slow but very kind and friendly. We look forward to returning! Vegetarian options: Great selection of North Indian veg curries, appetizers, and lots of naans. Kid-friendliness: The waiters were very kind to our six year old daughter."

"We had a fantastic dinner! The chai and lentil soup were complimentary, and the service was excellent. We dined on the patio out back, which had a quirky yet comfortable ambiance. There was a small mix-up with our orders – I ordered a mild chana paneer but received my boyfriend's hot version, while he got my mild dish. However, we both loved the garlic naan; it was outstanding. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends!"

"Really tasty food!! This is a regular order for our work and everyone wants to get in on it. Lots of vegan options if you ask them! They do a vegetable coco (coconut milk vegetable korma that tastes delicious when you do medium spice)—not pictured. The vegetable samosas are also delicious. This food in the photo was mixed vegetable masala (not sure if it’s vegan), garlic naan, and rice. They used to give complimentary rice during lunch but now they charge $3 for it. Kind of a bummer, but I get it. We still keep going here regularly. Tanya and everyone that works here is super nice and accommodating. We love Lal Mirch!"

"We recently ordered, take from Royal India Bistro, and the mango ice we had ordered was not in the pocket when we came home. We thought it was not a big deal and simply called to remove it from our bill, but they offered us to deliver it to us, even though we were outside their delivery area! Someone showed up with the mango ice cream, just like we finished our dinner, and it was delicious (like the rest of the food was! We will definitely be back for more of their amazing food and fantastic customer service!"

"EDIT- We have been back several times since, and it is amazing! Well worth it! Delicious food, but over priced for what you get. Tandori chicken does not come with rice as the online menu says. Just a few pieces of chicken with a salad with no dressing or sauces for $14.50. We ordered for 4 people and received just one container of rice and no sauces. Delicious, but really overpriced and not what is expected for what we paid for. Restaurant offered to make another order of rice, but this was takeout and we were already home. It would have been nice to have the sides as the menu states and some sauces."

"It was my first time here. The food was amazing, and our waiter was so friendly and took great care of us. I tried the Sweet Lassi and it was interesting. I’ve never had anything like it, our waiter said it was basically a yogurt drink and it haddifferent spices and stuff. It tasted great, not overly sweet. For food I had the Lamb Tikka Masala and I also ordered theGarlic Naan Bread. It was AMAZING! The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly and the sauce was so flavorful. I could eat 10orders of that naan bread it was so delicious, buttery, pillowy , amazing. I had a great time at this restaurant and willdefinitely be back soon!"
