"My daughter made a reservation for father's day brunch and was advised that it is basically the same brunch as in the main hotel. Well, what a surprise, it was way short of what she was told. When we arrived we ordered coffee and orange juice, the coffee was barely warm and the orange juice turned out to be apple juice. The waitress told us it all looked the same, granted the apple juice was darker than the clear apple juice. The coffee refill was only lukewarm, not hot. At the third refill, I requested hot coffee and finally got it. The selection of food was very minimal, one type of egg dish, scrambled, only, the bacon was paper thin, as was the few pieces of ham. The pan fried potatoes were nearly cold, but the brisket beef was very good but not hot. It was cut as you go to very thin strips, good thing the knife was sharp. The small sausages were actually good, but not hot enough. The salad green dish was empty and the sauce for the cauliflower/broccoli veggies did not have a serving spoon so you had to dump the sauce out of the dish. The dessert table had a small variety of offers. Overall, I can't see how a supposedly high class hotel restaurant can serve that is not properly temperature controlled, it is dangerous. And finally, for the price of $44.00, it was not worth even half that.Since we are local, we have gone to the main dining room buffet numerous times, the food has always bee very good but pricey. I will not be recommending anyone to the golf course restaurant from now on, it was a real disappointment! ."

"Highly recommend. Shiro Kuma has the best customer service I have experienced in Marin County, and I do not say that lightly. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted. As soon as we sat down, we were brought menus, and our drink order was taken. Within a reasonable period time, someone came to take our initial order. My husband dropped a napkin, and a server showed up out of nowhere with a replacement, (without us even having to ask . The staff struck a reasonable balance between giving us time to enjoy our date night and checking in to see if we needed additional.Anyway, we started with kuma oyster shooters, and they were so surprisingly good! I have never had anything like that! Then, we got the the toro sashimi, which melted in my mouth. Toro is my favorite. To drink, we had hot tea and a beer, and I love the cast iron teapot in which they served me. Anyway, we also enjoyed the hamachi ceviche, which was so delicious and smooth and came with these lotus(? chips that added great texture. Then, we got rolls! The dynamite roll was not what we usually get when we order a dynamite roll, so we have more hamachi. It was good! The lion king was also really solid. I love the torched salmon on top. The kuma low carb roll was a great add, too. Something is just so refreshing about sushi wrapped in cucumber, and the also came with salmon roe and a couple types of fish. Would order again. For dessert, we had the matcha gelato, which was super interesting and had great flavor and texture. Great food. Great place for a fancy date night! Love it!"
