"Must have been an off day. We normally love this place and find the food excellent. But today the duck leg in the duck confit salad was extremely over cooked leaving it tough and almost impossible even to cut, though what little meat I could tease free was tasty, as usual, but very chewy. My wife's chicken on her green salad was similarly over cooked, tough and rubbery. Even the fois gras was over-done. The French Onion Soup was very good, as always. We've had these same over-done dishes in the past, and they were excellent. Possibly the problem was that on a gorgeous sunny Spring day, the place was packed, and the kitchen may have been overwhelmed. This may also explain the rather spotty service which, too, has always been very attentive. But eating outside, sipping excellent cocktails on an unusually warm February day and watching the world go by, we still thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return."
