"Well u get what u pay for. We decided to go with what was in the area and cheaper to experience some all you can eat Korean. The room is spacious and zagat rated.. they hadzagat for 2006, 2007, 2010-13 I figured it's worth a try.. Saw the three star rating and I knew that I shouldn't be overly excited. But seriously I was hungry. Upon coming it. Everything looked good. I grabbed some appetizer and sushi. The appetizers j tried were the dumplings, noodles and fried rice. They were ok. I am always skeptic of sushi because of freshness but I decided I would try a little. Yep, I had enough after 3 bites and my niece said she had a hair on her sushi. Eeeekkk!!! Not happy. She didn't even complain about it and just put it on the side. Too make matters worse I saw a gnat flying around the sushi bar. Oh my!!! I was so nervous. I figured the Korean BBQ will be ok because u cook it fresh. Once it was cooked I enjoyed it.. with the traditional lettuce wrap and gochujang sauce, bean sauce, and banchan sides. It wasn't bad, but I wish the banchan sides would be fresher. The dessert area had green tea cake, mocha cake, strawberry cake, fruits and cinnamon tea.. The cakes were good and I know the green tea cake had authentic green tea in it. Before I left I realized there was a ice cream machine to the side near the entrance. It isn't very visible to those who walk right pass it. My neice had a little bit before we left. They only had chocolate flavor. The bill wasn't so bad for me with the military discount. 10% discount. $13.99 for lunch..for regulars. but be aware of the drink. 3.25 for coke and 2.25 for kids juice and 7.99 for a 4 year old was a lot for my niece to pay!! I'd say it's ok for a cheapskate lunch and for people who are not particular about their food.. Will I come back again. Probably never."

"Chill little health store in downtown Carpinteria. You can find a myriad of natural, organic, eco-friendly foodstuffs and household products. Very fun to stroll around and check out their wares, lots of funky hidden gems. If you're in Carpinteria for the farmer's market, peek in here before or after, might find some cool stuff to accompany your market produce. When you enter, there is a little produce/bakery stand. The bread seems to be made here and it's pretty good, I'd recommend a try. I had a small bread roll and it was excellent on it's own and with cheese. Flavorful and salty even when plain, you definitely don't need butter! Perfect bread to pair with tomatoes or something from a farmer's market haul on Thursdays. I hope to try it next time with (1 some honey and (2 cream cheese and lox/sprouts/tomato/red onion... yum... : There was a pretty decent selection in grocery items like milk (including milk alternatives , yogurt, ice cream/ice cream bars, and some meats (frozen and refrigerated . There were also lots of baking supplies and TEAS! Huge variety of herbal teas. The chocolate selection was pretty interesting as well with lots of unique flavor combos. Most seemed to be fair trade/organic so that was nice to see. Also there were quite a few local products e.g. honey which was great to see as well! They had quite a large selection of natural/organic/eco-friendly baby stuff, beauty products, and household items/cleaners. Good variety among the products as well, so you could select from multiple different natural laundry detergents, etc. They have a hefty selection of shampoos and conditioners that seem very hair-friendly. Card is accepted here and there doesn't seem to be a minimum. There was also a smoothie station in the back and some bulk produce items e.g. grains, nuts, beans. Definitely will check this place out again! It can be a fairly quick ~20 minute drive from SB so it's work a peek if you're interested in health foods/natural groceries."
