"Mario was our waiter. What an awesome guy. He really made sure that the patrons were taken care of and most importantly enjoyed their meal. Food was delicious. Something for everyone with a dark and moody atmosphere ; We missed the live music, but no doubt we'll be back."

"A wonderful local option for authentic Mexican food, atmosphere and hospitality! The service is prompt and friendly. The food was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. I ordered #57 Cazuelada I'll definitely order this entree again. The steak was cooked as ordered and the veggies had just the right amount of crunch. I think the mango margarita was from a mix, but it still had a pleasant taste and paired well with the flavors of fried food and melty cheese. There's a small bar with barstools as you enter, the dining room is large and open. It's standard Mexican restaurant decor and the booths are pretty comfy."

"Not one to write reviews, whether experience is good or bad, but I will take some time to write one for this occasion. We reserved a table for 8 to celebrate an engagement. For what Toro Toro claims to be, the service was disappointing. He didn’t go around asking each person for drinks, waters were not filled unless we requested, he didn’t follow up to check upon our appetizers after the were brought to our table, no second drink requests as he never came to check on us. Entree took an unreasonable time to be brought out to our table, had to get up to ask for water refills, just overall disappointing. I’m frequent higher end restaurant and have an expectation of service, and this was not it. Even your traditional mid-end restaurants can provide better service. I typically tip more than 20% and that’s never an issue for me, but applying a 20% gratuity on our check was a little upsetting as the service did not deserve that. For how much you will spend here, there are numerous options in the area where you can go somewhere and be provided the experience you deserve. I would advise to reconsider choosing this location to celebrate big milestones or to simply enjoy a nice dinner with friends/family."

"Open toast with avocado and poached eggs and cilantro was delicious and I'd go back any day for that breakfastbrunch dish. The seats are super uncomfortable however. You can't sit close enough to the table so you are forced to teeter on the edge of the chair or lean way forward to eat. Seems whomever designed the decor never sat down to actually eat"

"We were in the Highland Park area and this place has been on my radar. Stopped on late Sunday morning. Street parking can be a challenge . You enter thru their gift shop where they offer branded merchandise,tea and vinyl records. Prices are not cheap but many items are unique and cannot be purchased elsewhere. Lots of re-released Smashing Pumpkins records since this place is owned by Billy Corgan. They have various coffees,apps and sandwiches listed on the wall along with a separate menu with daily specials and teas. Prices are not listed on their tea or coffee menu so ask before you order as some of the specialty tea drinks can get pricey. We ordered the breakfast taco special which came with 3 tacos and breakfast potatoes. Not sure why they were called Breakfast tacos. Toppings was only 1 onion slice and a few leafs of cilantro. We ordered the pork,beef and chorizo but quite frankly they all tasted the same and were very bland. Nothing had flavor. We also tied a gluten free chocolate brownie which was ok but didn 't seem fresh..maybe a day old. Limited seating is available and they had a guitar player while we ate which was a nice touch The place has a cool vibe and I would go back but probably for just a drink and a pastry."

"The salsa has a great flavor and our meals were fine...nothing special. The design of the interior does nothing to combat the noise levels on a busy night. So loud my table gave up on any type of conversation. When the host seated us he stated they were out of menus so it would be a few minutes before we would get one. The menus never came. Our server came by with chips and salsa and took our drink order. He also asked if we would like an appetizer. We told him we didn't get menus so didn't know what was available. He walked away. Got our drinks, no menus. Server came back later to take our order...we had at that point looked online at the menu. The online menu is lacking in detail so we had to make an educated guess on what was included with some items. Ordered dishes we recognized since descriptions were not available on each option. Then our server seemed to have forgotten about us and we waited too long for our check...which we had to ask for. Food was fine but not worth the terrible experience. Will not return."

"The complimentary chips and sauce (not salsa), and appetizers were the start of the show for us. We have the fried corn and guacamole. They were both really good. For lunch we had a cuban,soup, another sandwich, and empanadas. All were good but not spectacular. The empanadas were the best entree!"

"We called in a take out order yesterday at 6:05 and was told your food will be ready at 6:30. My Wife gets there at 6:45. Every 10 minutes she’s told by the staff that “they’re making it now and it will be out in a few minutes”. Long story short, the food wasn’t ready until 7:45. Am I supposed to believe that this restaurant didn’t know that it couldn’t meet a 25 minute deadline when it took this order? And on Father’s Day no less? I’m quite sure they knew, they just decided to selfishly fatten their pockets and ruin our family’s dinner rather than be honest, upfront and forthright. Perhaps even worse, is that the food was horribly over salted and inedible. They didn’t even have the decency to throw in a churro or an app as consolation for stealing more than an hour of my spouse’s time (not that I would have been able to swallow it). In my opinion, this place should be avoided like the plague."

"The restaurant is small in comparison to how many guests they receive. The food wasn’t the best. It was bland especially for a Latin restaurant. Past 10:30 pm, the crowd is overwhelming but it does turn into a lounge so that’s understandable. I don’t recommend eating late since it gets so packed and people will be all over you and your food. Crowd is 20’s to middle-aged, lots of music and dancing, and overall a fun place to stop for a bit during a night of dancing."

"This was our first visit, and it wasn’t quite what we expected. The menu was fairly limited, and the food was average; some dishes were lacking, and we had to pay extra for chips and salsa. However, they did move us to a better table, which improved our experience. The ambiance and layout were pleasant, but overall, it felt a bit pricey for what we received. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning anytime soon."

"We opted for outdoor seating when making our reservation through the app, expecting to be placed on a terrace or something similar. However, upon arrival, we found that it meant sitting at a solitary table on the pavement in front of the restaurant. It was quite chilly, and there was no heating, which made the experience uncomfortable, especially at that awkward lone table. We requested to be seated inside, but they were unable to accommodate us. To make matters worse, we discovered that they couldn't serve alcohol at that table, so we were unable to enjoy beer or wine with our meal. On a positive note, the food was amazing, and I would definitely consider returning based on the quality of the cuisine. However, I don’t expect to go back anytime soon due to the disappointing seating situation."

"(2020 kc) restaurant week review} the webster house was our first lunch break for kcrw! everything was wonderful as always. first cure: {cream of mushroom soup walnuts chive oil} very rich and earthy if they like mushrooms, they will enjoy it. {fried brussels sprouts pecorino romano, crater, senf aioli} loved the combo of brussel with mustard...we ate the whole plate! Second cure: {manzo e polenta braised rindmeat, mushroom, squash, tomaten, herbed polnta, grana padano, arugula}e my favorite entre! the meat was so tasteful, polnta perfectly cooked, and they know how to cook mushrooms! {coq au vin red wine brat free row chicken dog behind quarters, speck lardons, haricot vert, picked kartoffels, beurre rouge} still a very good escape! my man shaved over the taste of the chicken skin and the flesh was so tender that it fell directly from the bones. original review (juli 2019 webster house is a phenomenal restaurant that doesn't seem to know many people! the location is beautiful and is technically a restored school (not a house! with a rich history and magnificent view of the city. eating is something of the best I've ever tried. their menu often changes seasonal, but the quality is always consistent and on point. service has always been exceptional. it's a great date night place!"

"I visited this restaurant with my family, but unfortunately, the kids were not satisfied with their milkshakes. The tacos and coleslaw salad were also underwhelming. The parrillada for two was disappointing; the rice didn't taste good, and the meat was overcooked. When I ordered a soda, they gave me a bottle instead of a can, which is more expensive than buying at a store. The only dish that tasted good was the beef soup. Overall, I was quite disappointed. As for wheelchair accessibility, yes, it is available."

"Food was great. We had quite a few servers, who were polite, but they got confused about who ordered what. It's a bit distracting that they come with dinners and ask us to tell them what we ordered. I asked for soup to be brought before the meal, and as often happens, they forgot the soup brought the main meal anyway. I told our server to nix the soup, since the food had already come. However I was pleasantly surprised that she brought the cup of soup anyway and said it was free, since they forgot to bring it before the entree. (I always try tortilla soup at any Mexican restaurant I go to for the first time and find the soup is a good gauge of the quality of the rest of the cuisine Margaritas were GREAT and food was excellent. I loved the ambience at Mexican Sugar and it was quiet when we got there at pm. When we left at it was quite loud and the waiting area was packed. Also we were celebrating my son's birthday and server brought a churro dessert that everyone loved! Very different from the cake, flan or ice cream served by other restaurants. I will go again during the week with my husband for a quieter experience. BTW my husband ordered the pork chop and said it was better than the pork at Perry's Steakhouse Grille, where we went for a retirement dinner. He loves pork chops and rarely finds that they are done to his liking. Cudos to your chef!"

"I visited Cubans on the Run to try their renowned Cuban sandwich, which I had on sweet bread, turning it into a "midnight" sandwich. It featured rich roast pork, melted cheese, and toasted bread. However, the star of the meal was undoubtedly the fried pork (masitas de puerco). It was the most flavorful dish I experienced during my entire visit to Orlando. The sautéed onions and garlic really set it apart. I loved mixing the beans with the rice; it was so tasty! At first, I thought the fried pork was one of the warm dishes on display when you enter, which also looked tempting. But, the fried pork is actually listed on the menu and made fresh to order. It was quite filling with a generous portion. We also sampled a few fried snacks: a beef empanada, papa rellena, and a chicken croquette. The beef empanada was fantastic—very savory, and I could have easily eaten four of them. The other two fried items were decent but probably wouldn't choose them again."

"The ambiance was great, the food also, but the service need improve. First the person who attend the table, was busy with other tables, maybe that was the reason that she didn't put to much attention here. I ask for glasses for the ladies but NOT GLASSES , at the second time I ask , told me that they don't have too much glasses. After a while, I ask to somebody to CLEAN the table, nobody come to pick up the empty bottles and the empty dishes, until I ask for. The music was too loud, the music was great but on some points the volume was to high to the extreme."

"I visit this unique restaurant once a month because I enjoy the special atmosphere it offers. The staff is incredibly attentive and skilled, and the service is highly efficient.
