"Having been to Marlowe several times before COVID, I was looking forward to seeing how they had changed after being shuttered for awhile, and doing some renovations. Mostly, Marlowe is pleasantly and reliably the same, with a few minor disappointments, but also improvements. One surprise was that prices have increased only slightly in the last couple of years, and while still an upscale place, they're competitive. The interior is a bit more spacious and fresh looking, without any significant change in look still a comfortable and inviting space. However, some change has resulted in significantly higher noise levels. This is no longer a place for quiet conversation at times we had to almost yell to be heard from directly across the table. The menu is also a carry forward with a few updates. My pork cheeks melted in the mouth, with a delicious rich au jus, and a side of bright green firm broccoli (not unseasoned and overcooked as is common in many middle brow restaurants). There was a croquet that was wet and lacking texture, and an heirloom salad that was also wet with a weak balsamic dressing, but the vegetables were fresh and flavorful. Overall I would still recommend Marlowe, they seem to be still refining the atmosphere and menu for the neighborhood and city that has definitely changed it's tastes post COVID."
