"This is the second time we have eaten at Darya and we live 4 hours away. The first time we were looking for Armenian food on Open Table. It was soooooooo delicious and fun, we wanted to take our daughters. We finally got to come back and bring our daughters. They loved it as well. It is not overly seasoned. It’s very authentic. It is Persian food, rather than Armenian, but it is very similar. The portions are also very large. There was a guitarist on Friday night. They have different music on the weekend. We loved the ambiance the food and the service! There are white table cloths but it’s not a stuffy environment."

"The food was delicious. Sat in the back patio at the semi shared large tables. The hummus was very good and fresh bread was delicious. I enjoyed the lamb, chicken kabobs was my favorite and shrimp was ok. It is BYOB so very good value. Both the rice and salad sides are so good. Service was a tad slow, but laid back atmosphere so kind of expected. Good Hoboken spot for healthy and fresh food."

"I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday night with some friends. Our server was friendly, but it took quite a while to get our order taken. Interestingly, a table that was seated after us had their order taken right after ours, which was a bit frustrating. They even managed to pay their check before we received our appetizers! On the bright side, the food was excellent—well-seasoned and delicious, with generous portion sizes that offered great value. I would recommend this place, but I suggest placing your order quickly or flagging down the waiter to expedite the process!"

"This was our first time at Rumi's on a Friday night . There were four in our party and we were all very pleased with everything. The restaurant is small, quaint and very tastefully decorated. The food was excellent, fresh, tender and perfectly cooked. .We started with the Maust'khiar and hummus appetizers followed by a Rumi's family style salad that had feta cheese, black olives, walnuts and dates with a lime juice dressing. We all had Kabobs for the main course lamb and beef. Everything was delicious!! The owner waited on us and was very helpful and suggested a great dessert that we all shared. We were pleasantly surprised that there was live music and the prices were very reasonable for the large portions. Not crowded, though it should be. We will definitely go back again."

"We were 2 couples. Asked if we could have 2 checks one for each couple. Were told we could only get one check but they could put on two credit cards. Did not want to hassle with our friends who ate and drank more than us so we ended up paying more than what our personal bill would have been. Took me several calls to talk to a manager several days later. She was very unhelpful and told me they could not provide 2 separate bills for our table. I tried to reason with her and find out why it was so difficult to provide two separate bills. I've never had any problems at any other restaurants. We often go with one or two other couples. She held fast to her stand/policy and was not willing to even consider my request. I'll NEVER go back there again."

"Where do I begin? The food is exceptional and delicious. As a restaurant manager, I know they choose the highest quality ingredients to keep the taste consistently amazing. The Koobideh takes me back to my childhood, specifically to the village of Farahzaad, where my family and I spent most weekends. You probably remember the scene from Ratatouille when Anton Ego bites into his first bite of Ratatouille. That's the effect I get when I bite into my first bite of Koobideh at Yas. The owners and staff are hospital and so genuinely friendly. Don't let the small place fool you, you'll be in for a treat at Yas Restaurant."

"PROS: Unique because its above a pretty cool Persian market. The wait staff were friendly and the food, while not presented well or prepared just right, seemed fresh. CONS: Food was dry, service took too long and was inconsistent. The noise level echoed (poor acoustics) and the lighting was poorly balanced. CONCLUSION: This restaurant needs an overhaul with design, lighting, proper training on customer service, food presentation and user experience."

"This tiny eatery located in an unassuming strip mall delivers big time on taste and great service! We had the grilled marinated chicken kabob $20), the grilled marinated beef tenderloin kabob $27) and a combo Vaziri of grilled marinated chicken and koobideh a seasoned ground beef mixed with onions $26). Each order came with a large portion of basmati rice sprinkled with yellow rice and a side of grilled bell peppers and/or grilled tomatoes. A great deal is the King's Choice $43) that comes on a larger platter served with a chicken, Koobideh and flank steak kabob with two sides of rice and enough to feed three people. The staff was so nice as they forgot one of our orders and then comped it to us. We saw others with different dishes including the Greek fries and everything looked so yummy and will have to come back again for sure!"

"The food was terrible. I don’t remember the last time I actually had to send my meal back because I couldn’t stomach it (nor could my dining companion. The “braised” chicken was tough as rubber and appeared to have been boiled in a can of tomato paste. The eggplant stew had a putrid odor, which I cannot fathom could appeal to anyone. After a bite, it took us hours to get the awful taste out of our mouths. Service, to top it off, was quite slow, although we were literally the only two people dining (which should have been a red flag to us. I would not recommend this place to anyone!"

"I have been a loyal customer at Denj for several years, visiting twice a week with my family and generally enjoying their Persian cuisine. However, my positive experiences were overshadowed by an incident that occurred five years ago. I purchased four sandwiches, and one of them contained a foreign object that looked like a string or hair. Worried about our health and safety, I decided to speak directly with the owner's wife about the issue. Unfortunately, the response I received was unprofessional; I was met with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. This experience was disappointing and ultimately led me to stop dining at Denj. After this incident, I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant as they did not handle a genuine concern about food safety properly."
