"This is the 2nd Costambar restaurant that my wife and I visited within the last 4 days. This locale is bigger than the one at 18th Street in Paterson. Much more choices but just as amazingly delicious. My wife got Fried Pork Chops with onions and yellow rice. I got Pig's feet with Black bean rice. We had a side order of Chicharron (Pork Cracklings) and Avocado salad. For drinks she got a Merengue (Cola Champgane) soda and I got me a Morir Soñando (Orange Creamsicle). Everything, and I mean everything is cooked to perfection, flavorful and plenty. Out servers Susanna and Arlenis provided us excellent service with a smile."

"Very polite service, owner was our server and he was helpful in answering any questions about the menu. Went for a late lunch, the atmosphere was authentic and smelled amazing the minute we walked in. We split the Trip through Puerto Rico dish that included Ropa Vieja, Carne Frita and Pernil with Tostones and Mofongo de Yuca. A great portion for two people. The meats were super tender, fresh and flavorful. The Tostones and Mofongo were perfectly salted and fried. We finished off our meal with the delicious Tres Leches cake. We could not have asked for a more delicious meal!! I would recommend it to anyone!"

"First time we visited this Cozy Dominican Restaurant: Sabor Dominicano , it was a very rich encounter with delicious flavors that made me remember my childhood and the food that my Mom made, although although I am Cuban there is a lot of similarity in our Culinary culture. Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly, Ofelia treated us, a person who was accommodating and always with a smile, it was like being with family, and that touched me. We will surely return the next time we are near the city. I thank you, you made me feel like I was at home. Thank you so much! And blessings"

"For the record if you do not speak Spanish do not buy from here, incompetent and very rude staff and owner. With that being said I’ve also had to return my food on multiple occasions because the meat in the food was spoiled, staff smelled it on more than 2 occasions and apologized claiming they only serve the food it being bad has nothing to do with them. Beware please, my next step is to contact fda etc. also if u scroll down and read the other comments you will see that this is an ongoing problem serving spoiled food and rude customer service."

"The food deserves a solid 5 stars, but the experience of dining in drops it to a 4. This busy little Dominican spot has over three ladies working at lightning speed to serve up the dishes. They’re friendly and treat you like your mom would when she's in the kitchen—straight to business! If you order something that needs to be cooked, be prepared to wait about 15 minutes. Overall, it’s pretty good! I ordered the chicken, which was extremely well-fried, served with mofongo on a bed of lettuce. The mofongo was delicious, but their unique twist is combining it with the chicken served on the side instead of mixed in. The sauce served alongside added a delightful Caribbean flair. Delicioso, mami!"

"The quality of your experience at this restaurant largely depends on whether you're dining in or getting takeout. Eating in can be a bit uncomfortable, especially on karaoke nights when the noise level can become overwhelming. The bar area in the back is also quite small. That said, the five stars they've earned are well-deserved, particularly based on a large catered order and several takeout meals. The food is exceptional; the pernil was juicy and tender, not swimming in oil and grease like many other places. The spaghetti was another standout dish—many guests at my event had never tried it before and are now hooked. This is definitely my go-to Spanish spot for Castle Hill and the surrounding areas."

"The handoff was done well, but unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations, and we were missing half of our order. However, when we contacted the lounge, the waitress was incredibly helpful. She promptly arranged to send us a new meal at no charge. She was very courteous and called back several times to ensure we were satisfied. Outstanding customer service!"

"My experience was ok not the best. I’ve been to the other location and tho this one seem to have a better presentation the service was a mess. The waiter was new and was not knowledgeable about the menu. I had to continuously point to the menu so he knew what I was asking for. Omg we asked for to go boxes and the top did not fit. So they gave us heavy duty black tape. We did have a large party with 2 separate waitresses and it’s unfortunate our food did not come out together it was a mess. Apparently gratuity is included in the bill and I tipped them. Unfortunately for the service that was given and had I known I would have rather not tipped. It was an overall mess. I will stick to going to the holland location. I drive 2 hrs just for authentic food and was disappointed about the service. Maybe some coaching idk I just was disappointed."

"Everthing tasted great we got a vari of things to try and were not dissapointed. The Empanada de Carne Beef Patty were delicious and well worth it. The Papa Rellena Potato Ball was really good and loved how crispy it was with the creamy mashed potatoes and meat inside. I had the Bistec Encebollado Onion Steak with mofongo which was so good,I also got a side of the Maduros Sweet Plantains which I got a medium, but iwould of been good with a small becbecause they give you a lot! My husband had the Pechuga a la Plancha Grilled Chicken Breast with rice and beans. For dessert he had his favorite Torta Tres Leches Tres Leches Cake (2 of them) which he loved, and they are individual servings which is nice. I tried the Mini Cheesecake which was really good and creamy and had a good graham cracker crust as well as the Torta de Zanahorias Carrot Cake which was 2 layers and delicious, it was light and airy and very flavorful and not too sweet, it was perfect!"

"I have had great experiences at this restaurant. The staff has always been friendly and the food is delicious. The drinks are strong and come with chips and salsa. The piña colada was tasty and the portions are generous. The wait can be long, but the food, especially the well-seasoned steak, is worth it. The music is quite loud. I didn't try the food this time, but the drinks were a bit pricey. Despite that, the overall experience was safe, welcoming, lively, and with great service."
