"Horrible pasta! Never had anything that bad in either Italy or a good restaurant in the US. If you want to eat bad food after being shown to a terrible table, this is your spot! I was told you only get a decent table if you request its number when booking. Who knew?! Very sad how they treat patrons from the local neighborhood. I guess you either need to be a tourist or a celebrity to command their respect. But wait, is catering to tourists the best business model during a pandemic? One positive, the wine list is impressive. My advice if you go, just order a good bottle of wine and leave as quickly as you can"

"5 Stars in food, amazing service.. However we noted this to be a 40th birthday and were seated at a table facing the kitchen.. perhaps these less desirable tables should be held for walk ins, instead of guests who made a reservation 3 weeks out. So it was noisy and a lot of staff hovering around us as next to the kitchen service doors is the wait staff station. The price is crazy high... it was a nice experience but won't go back unless I win the lottery lol.."

"My first time here. Celebrating my brother’s retirement. The crabmeat cocktail impressed me the most. The drinks were super. So was the Zin I had with dinner. The service was very good but I would not say exceptional. I ordered the soufflé moments after I sat down as I read online one needs to do if this is the dessert you desire at the end of your meal. When that time came and I mentioned it to the waiter, it appeared he did not make a note of it or write it down and had a pained look on his face. That did not make me a happy camper. However, within 2 3 minutes, a marvelous soufflé was delivered to me. It was fantastic! My steak was done perfectly but it was definitely too salty. My brother also had his steak prepared the same way as mine and it was the same cut – but his was rare to be sure, and not medium rare. He’s more kickback than I am so he did not want to send it back. However, I don’t expect that to happen at a steakhouse of this caliber. Also, I had wanted to order their peppercorn sauce to go along with my steak. I forgot to mention it but I wished our server would’ve asked me if I wanted one of their many sauces to go along with my steak. That would’ve jarred my memory. Too bad he didn’t.The side dishes were fantastic, especially the creamed spinach. I will probably revisit again sometime soon. But there is a lot of competition in Pasadena for fine dining. Also, had to wait 15 minutes for the valet to park the car. That was definitely not a plus. And this was a Thursday night."

"I look for restaurants that have Dover Sole Meunière in their menus, so I found Jubilee. It's a French restaurant on 1st Ave 52 Street. The Dover Sole Meunière was very delicious; I really liked it. But it's the attentiveness of the host and the server that completed the experience for me. I asked for a booth and I was given a booth in a hospitable manner. That got me to feel comfortable in the place! I also ordered the Duo of French White and Green Asparagus upon the server's recommendation. It's from the daily specials, and it was pleasing to my eyes as well as tasty. I wish the butternut squash soup didn't have chicken broth and the fish soup didn't contain alcohol! (Hopefully, they read my review and make the changes) Still, I highly recommend this restaurant for its ambience, service, and the Dover Sole Meunière!"

"Was told this was the best steakhouse in Alton Illinois. So we gave it a shot. Children got a kids cheese pizza, and for $6 each the quantity and quality was pretty good, 5/5. Wife and grandmother got the shrimp scampi, both said it was kinda bland, but itis just a garlic butter sauce so I can see that. Shrimp was kinda light for the shrimp to pasta ratio, but enough pasta for twothat was for sure, 4/5. I had the 6oz pepper loin with loaded baked tater. Potato was great in size, pepper loin might of been alight 6oz but plenty in flavor. Ordered a med got med well. Now the reason for the only 4stars. Noticed on ticket, we were upcharged for things that were supposed to be included like strawberry vinaigrette, $4upcharge but was supposed to be included. And a 2.75% credit card fee. Kinda odd. I run my own business and don’t have to charge cc fees to cover just odd. Especiallywith no notice. Atmosphere is nice, but after 6pm seems to get rather loud, couldn’t hear the person two seats to my leftwithout them yelling. Overall, wed give it another go, just withdraw cash first."

"If there is a restaurant that is a Birmingham institution among the wealthier crowd, there is literally only one name that locals would bring up, and it is undoubtedly Highlands. Not that there aren't other nice restaurants, but this spot has proven itself over time and is ran by a chef that most Alabamians are quite proud of. Opened in 1982, Highland's is a place that put Birmingham on the map in a positive way at a time when the post industrial iron period was about to wind down and transform the city. Frank formalized his cooking techniques by working in kitchens of San Francisco and France, creating a medley of American Southern and French cuisine that is difficult to find elsewhere. It was not a time when it was common to see a chef from Alabama going to study cooking in Europe, thus the story was already an anomaly. Frank Stitt was trying to pioneer sustainable agriculture and farming well before anybody in Alabama knew what in the world that actually meant or for that matter, cared. One of the signature items is the baked grits that has been around since the restaurant opened. It's a tasty grits preparation and without a doubt, something to try. The pheasant was spectacular, fairly lean and with a crispy delicious skin, served with grits and green beans. Pastries here are created by Dolester Miles, who has been in the job for well over 30 years. The opera cake is absolutely spectacular, gentle and complexly layered. The basque cake is peachy and moist, with a crispy delicious exterior and Chantilly cream. Not only are these likely the best desserts to discover in Alabama, but may be some of the best to be found in America. The attentiveness got derail was clearly evident. As far as service, generally fine, but not particularly attentive. The waitress did not seem in much of a mood to welcome people to the establishment. Many items on the menu were running out by 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Nobody was particularly impressed with the flounder that got substituted for the grouper. And then there are other questions, why would you run out of grits? They know they are always filled to capacity and ingredients to make grits are not immediately perishable. Highland's has by this point in Birmingham's history become a classic. It's evident that most people here have been around for decades working at their jobs and serving the rich crowds of Mountain Brook. It's a place of great food and shows many combinations of ingredients that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere, let alone be executed this well."

"We have eaten here several times before and have enjoyed the food, though service has been spotty. Last night we were seated in a room with what I can only call bad karaoke and a rowdy crowd. When we go out on a Saturday evening, we want to be able to talk. This was impossible. Our food was delayed at each course, and we didn't get dinner until my husband demanded our food. We asked for the leftovers to be wrapped and for the check. We were there for 2 unbearable hours, and will never eat here again. "The food itself was great. But when we are waiting we found this store also has too good to go option and it was 2.2 points out of 5, so we are pretty curious cuz the food is great, why such low reviews? And once we get it, totally understandable. As shown below in picsFirst of all, only four small cup miso soup is not even on the menu and they put original retail price for $12 dollars for this, which is ridiculous.Secondly, we are having the dinner in this store and we ordered pretty great amount of food, but this too good to go give us a feeling of teasing us. It's not for helping environment but for their OWN financial benefit. If the store owner is in such mindset, you shouldn't participate in this Too good to go campaign which is helping the environment but not wasting so many plastic container for miso soup.We really enjoyed the food here but for such attitude and mindset, we will never ever come back and hope this reviews can help others!Overall I feel really really bad that as an Environmentalist, I'd rather they don't even give me this bag which cause more plastic trash in the world. If you want to protect the environment, please don't event order too good to go in this store."

"Our waitress was very kind, but unfortunately, our food arrived cold, and after we finished, she didn’t return to check on us. We noticed another table was served while we waited. My daughter, grandson, and I had all been drinking cold beverages, and my lobster was also cold, which was quite disappointing considering the prices. The atmosphere was pleasant, although it was marred by an extremely loud and obnoxious waiter at the next table who claimed to be training staff. He was just too loud and disruptive. Given the high cost, I would choose to dine elsewhere in the future, as I don’t believe it was worth the money. On a positive note, the bread was warm and very good."

"We also ordered the Pad See Ew, which I requested without fish sauce. I added extra broccoli and stir-fried cashews, both with tofu. While both dishes were tasty, I felt the Pad See Ew lacked a bit of flavor, possibly because no alternative seasoning was used in place of the fish sauce. The service was friendly and accommodating; they handled special requests with ease and professionalism. My only issues were inconsistent tofu quality on two out of three visits and once receiving white rice instead of brown. That said, I was confident all dishes were prepared vegan (I don’t use fish sauce myself). Overall, I felt comfortable dining here, enjoying delicious food in a pleasant setting. Updated from my previous review on January 10, 2022."

"I feel I have reviewed Chophouse 47 before...but don 't see it now. Anyway, this has been our go-to special restaurant. The place we go to celebrate. The food is probably the BEST of anywhere...usually! Service and atmosphere is typically exceptional as well. It wasn 't the case this time. I will start with atmosphere...generally it is quiet enough to be considered romantic. Low conversation is possible. This time, the music was so loud! People trying to talk over the music made it worse. Next up is service. This was the worst service that we have had on any visit here. I get that this is possibly due to the huge Christmas crowd...just not what we are used to at the Chophouse. Lastly...food! As usual, the steaks are the best prepared of anywhere in the world that we have eaten!!. The cheesy potatoes were horrible! It was OBVIOUS that it was powdered potatoes. They were soooo watered down! "

"I am writing this review and still in shock and unable to process what happen on last Friday night at our party. Everything was great, food, service, etc. All my friends had a great time until, I assume, it was the restaurant 's manager, came to one of our guests Mark and very rudely demanded that he paid $80 cover charge for drinking alcohol from the water bottle he brought with him. Mark NEVER drinks hard liquor only wine which is what he ordered that night as always. His wife wasn 't feeling well didn 't drink at all! The manager came to them directly, threw an empty water bottle on the table calming he has a video of Mark throwing this bottle in the trash outside of the restaurant!!! This video he showed us had NO image of Mark carrying a bottle in his hands! In any case, the manager 's rudeness, unprofessionalism in the way he handled the situation was outrages. He was yelling and screaming at us, telling us he will call the police. Even if he had a reason which he DID NOT! this situation could have been handled discretely. Instead, he escalated the situation to the point that Mark, his wife and most of our guests were in the verge of tears! All of my friends at the party came to America about 35 years ago, all have successful careers. We all speak Russian, but all immigrated from Ukraine. I don 't know if this person had something against us, but it sure felt like he made personal. We never felt so humiliated and discriminated like we did last night! I was the responsible for any additional charges/issues for the party and they confirmed that with me before the party started. We had multiple birthday parties at Bobby 's before and I was astonished how we were treated for just a pitiful amount of money $80 when we spent way over $1000 that night! Instead of having a great memory of this special evening of my husband 65th birthday all we will remember is the way we were treated and humiliated at the end. It 's a shame! We always enjoy Bobby 's, but after this incident none of us and anyone we know will dine in Bobby 's Deerfield again."

"Never been to Moto. A bit put off initially by the hostess staff whom seemed to lack maturity. This staff initially seated my wife and I at a table adjacent to the kitchen; which was noisy. Prior to being seated I asked to be moved to a quieter table and the hostess seemed put off. Despite the existence of numerous vacant booths I was told they were unavailable and I suggested that my wife and I would simply go elsewhere. Moto is a bit pricey and we wanted to enjoy a quieter experience. Ended up seated in the bar which turned out to be nice. Plenty of room and not as noisy as one may expect. Robert, our waiter, did an outstanding job. Full working knowledge of the menu and very engaging. An absolute pleasure to work with. Great attitude. The food experience was great. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals which included salad, pasta, wine and bread. Very nicely done and appreciated Robert’s insight into the various dishes. Refreshing. We certainly will visit again and hope that the hostess staff just had an off night. Definitely will seek out Robert. Thank you,"

"Absolutely love this place. Visited on a Saturday night made reservations a few days in advance. Night of was running late was able to adjust reservations for an hour later. Note, if you don't arrive 15 min after your reservation they will cancel it. High level of energy there is a DJ that is playing a good variety of popular music. Saw multiple people dancing in their booths. Great vibe and full of attractive people. Attire is casual to elegant. There is outdoor seating is"

"This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I had heard wonderful things about it. Unfortunately, we had one person in our party who doesn't eat seafood, and there were no appetizers available that didn't contain seafood. Additionally, the Oscar-style steak we ordered had crab shell in it, and our waitress never came back to check on us. We also ordered drinks, but they only arrived after we were ready to leave."

"After a stressful day, this is the place to go for dinner! The steak cooks for perfection and the asparagus with Holandaise so delicate and tasty! One of the best Cabernets I ever had, and the ambience was complete with beautiful piano play, made it a clear repetition when I returned to the city! Thank you for a nice evening!!"
