"Service was friendly and attentive but unfortunately we still waited over 90 minutes or our meals. It’s pretty obvious there is a staff shortage. Regarding the food, the Goulash tasted nothing like traditional goulash. I’ve eaten this dish innumerable times since my Bavarian roots childhood (I’m now 60). Additionally, this spring I spent 3 weeks in Bavaria, Austria and the Czech Republic and had goulash multiple times so I feel I have a reasonable sense of what this dish is supposed to taste like. It didn’t which I suppose is fine- every cook gets to put their own spin on things, but even if you called it something different like generic beef stew we agreed we wouldn’t do a repeat. Re the Jaeger Schnitzel we also shared we have two comments. The pork schnitzel itself was well prepared, hot and a very generous portion. The completely inadequate amount of sauce however was cold. Frankly, there was so little that we couldn’t even get a good feel for the taste. The schnitzel came with spaetzle which looked good but was also cold and unfortunately also not much of it. Can’t tell you about the taste as the temperature made it difficult to discern. Given my background I’m constantly on the look out for a good German meal and decided to retry Nadine’s given the good recent reviews despite having been to this location about 12 years ago with the same disappointment. Maybe we had two unlucky days. Either way, some obviously do enjoy their fare, and they seem to be very nice people so I do wish them continued success."
