"So why only three stars? I was excited to find out that this location accepted credit cards, as Bensonhurst had not for years. They may accept them now, but I never thought to ask. Naturally, I ordered more since I don’t usually carry a lot of cash, and credit card acceptance makes things easier. However, when the bill arrived, I noticed an extra charge for credit card payments. This was concerning to me, as there was no signage in the restaurant, at the entrance, or on the menu about this additional fee, and the server hadn’t mentioned it beforehand.
When I asked if I could pay in cash instead, the server informed me that she couldn’t reverse the charge. This might not bother everyone, but I believe as a customer, I deserve to be adequately informed about these charges. Additionally, I think that accepting credit cards should be considered a standard operational cost, which is likely balanced out by increased customer spending."
