"Lumes Brunch Cafe consistently impresses. To provide a balanced review, I’ll start with a few drawbacks. There are times when you enter to find many open tables, yet still have to wait to be seated. I believe this is due to the limited number of servers available to manage the tables. Additionally, there have been rare occasions when coffee refills take a long time, which can be a bit frustrating. Lastly, their weekly or weekend specials could use more variety. This would be a great opportunity to introduce new and creative dishes to see if they should become permanent menu items. For example, visiting the Crispy Waffle on a Saturday reveals that they offer three special dishes. Since we dine here so often, the menu feels a bit repetitive, and we would welcome some fresh options. Now, on to the positives. The wait staff is superb. Out of the six or so servers working on weekends, there’s just one we’re not fond of, but it’s only because she is very businesslike. Most of the servers know exactly how we like our coffee and bring it to our table without needing to ask, which we really appreciate. The food is consistently excellent. We've probably visited the Willowbrook location around 175 times in the last two years, and in all that time, we've had only a couple of complaints, with the worst being my own oversight. Each time, they offered to get me something else, showcasing their outstanding customer service. The hostess always greets us with a smile when we arrive, and sometimes the owner even stops by to check on us. Lumes in Willowbrook truly embodies what a restaurant should be."

"Everything was delicious. It was a bit crowded so we had to wait [not too long] for a server. Only thing I didn't like was the way the host greeted us and took us to be seated. He just sort of grunted as he waved his hand to show us a table that we declined and asked for another seating."

"We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant, with both excellent service and delicious food. We were warmly welcomed by Angie, who was a joy to interact with and made sure our wait was minimal. Our waitress provided fantastic breakfast recommendations, and it was clear that the whole staff worked seamlessly as a team. My coffee was always kept full, never dropping below three-quarters without me even needing to ask for a refill! The menu offered a wide variety of options, catering to all diets and preferences. I can't wait to come back and sample the lunch menu!"

"Not at all impressed. I wanted a slice at lunch. Got there they only had a pieced together pizza (3 kinds of different pizza put together as 1) in a case. It wasn't very warm and was not fresh. Clearly had been sitting for some time. It was pretty low to average tasting to me, not gourmet in any way. All the prices have been removed from their menu boards. The patio out fronts floor was filthy as we entered. The entry way was dirty and restaurant did not feel clean inside. Got a cup for water so did my friend both of us had black things in our water from the water from the fountain machine which was warm, almost hot. Odd and gross. I see now why the staff (who was pleasant and nice) tried to give us ice so badly. I pd $4 for that small piece of lame pizza and water. I will never go back. And I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. I'd have been happier with domino's."

"My cousin and I came here for breakfast today. As I live in the area, I am actually surprised I had not been here before now...but hey, better late than never. I got there first and got our table situated, and when my cousin came it was time for usto eat! I ordered the Aloha omelette with pancakes and a side of bacon, and my cousin had a Belgian waffle and some bacon. Letme say, at first glance, the place looks slightly dated but don 't let that fool you...the food and service here is pretty damngood! Tiffany was our server, and she got us started with juice and coffee. She had such a pleasant demeanor and was prettyattentive the entire time, and didn 't even mind when my cousin ordered food to go. I will say we were there about 10:30 in themorning and the place was hoppin '! But, you seem to get a table relatively quickly. Anyhow, the omelette was great! Pineapple,jack cheese, potatoes, and ham. the hash browns were pretty crispy, and the pancakes were nice soft just like I like them. Notto mention, my coffee was awesome!! My cousin said her food was good also! Overall, I would definitely come back. Outside ofthe place being slightly dated as I mentioned before, this was a nice place for food, coffee, and conversation with my cousin.Also, the food is fairly priced. "Wow! I’ve been going to independent coffee houses for decades. I have never found one I liked as well as this. One of the things I liked about it was finding my first piece of excellent cherry pie. I’ve never really liked it before because it tasted like jarred cherries and the crust wasn’t very good either. This pie had a delectable crust and was obviously made from fresh cherries. Boy, could you tell the difference! We had some organic Nicaragua coffee that was built as medium dark. It was as bold as most dark roast we’ve encountered in other coffee shops. My husband, a baker of delicious scones, praise their scones as even better than his own. They charge for a 2nd cup of coffee and free use of a credit card. That allows them to optimize their profits in a way in which they can be a superior quality shop. Great food and great coffee. They also open are for lunch. I’m considering that. 3 cheers for quality!"

"For some reason, North County has very few Greek restaurants. And that's a shame because Greek food is amazing.This is a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring you your food. There is plenty of seating inside but they also do a rocking takeout business. It's located in a mini-mall with plenty of free parking. The interior is nicely-decorated with walls painted like Santorini.The food is cooked to order and you can absolutely taste the freshness.The spanakopita appetizer gets you four triangles. Unfortunately, it was on the greasy side.The entrees are terrific and you get a ton of food. There are plenty of protein choices: gyros (shaved thin and outstanding), chicken souvlaki (a tad dry but very flavorful), shrimp (juicy and delicious), etc. The yellow rice is very nice and the side Greek salad is refreshing. You also get four fresh pita triangles that are super soft and excellent.Keep this place in mind for some freshly-cooked, solid Greek food."

"This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. I’m giving it two stars because the service was excellent; our waiter was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. The omelette I ordered had two slices of American cheese that didn’t even melt—just terrible. The coffee tasted like water, the pancakes were not fresh, and the toast was drenched in butter. I ended up paying $50 for three people, which is not worth it for such a disappointing breakfast."

"The food at Athens was above expected quality levels for the restaurants slightly lackluster appearance. The people working at the restaurant were kind and welcoming. Checking in on us often, ensuring that our drinks were constantly topped off. The conversations we had with the staff were enjoyable and brisk, allowing us to enjoy are food while still engaging us where the decor couldn't.We got the Moussaka, Chicken Kebob, and panakopita appetizer all of which we would recommend. The food was well prepared and has given me pause upon the lack of interest upon this small restaurant. However, do not let lack of word deter you, it would be a mistake to miss out on this little restaurant.The atmosphere was a bit lacking, the actual decor of the restaurant is slightly off putting, feeling almost barren of interest. Like a computer graphic for a concept interior design. This issue is small as the final qualifier for a good restaurant is the service and food, which were superb."

"Pretty disappointing experience. Ordered a small cheese pizza for pickup an hour before closing. Very simple order. The pizza tasted decent but the dough was very soggy and all the cheese and sauce just slid off of it when picking it up. Far too much oil or sauce used. Had to resort to eating it with a fork and knife.On the positive side, service is pretty fast, employees are friendly, and there’s a nice big dining area to sit and eat in."

"Bottom line up front: Save your money and time and go somewhere else. The food isn’t the best. The seats slide when you sit in the booth. I came for a party Saturday, April 27th and left a card on tab. I forgot and left without my card (not faulting the establishment). I went by Sunday to pick up it up, the doors were closed and locked. Apparently they’re not open on Sundays. The hours on the door of the restaurant and posted online say 4 pm 9 pm Monday Saturday, so I came back Monday, April 29th to get my card around 7 pm and lo and behold, the doors were locked again. I called, no answer. It is now Tuesday, instead of going again, I call ahead of time and ask about my card being there. Luckily I got through this time, but only to be told that my card isn’t there even though I know it is. I never got my card back from being on tab. If you go here, make sure you get your card back because if not, it’s theirs."

"First time here. I came in and nobody else was here except me and the owner. He asked if I wanted something to drink so I skied if they had Lebanese/rose water tea. To be fair, where I’m from these types of restaurants typically serve a combination of Greek and Lebanese foods.
