"Seeking a moderately priced and casual quick bite before the show, we chose Rock Bottom for its proximity to The Wilbur Theatre. Food was good, not great. A Cobb salad and a French Dip sandwich, followed by a shared slice of cheesecake. Although outdoor seating is available, we chose to dine indoors because of the heat and humidity that day (90’s in late afternoon. . Once seated we discovered the 15-foot wide sliding doors to the outdoor patio were left open, bringing all the heat and noise of the city indoors. Blaring sirens from the frequent emergency vehicles driving by made conversation difficult. Although not sweltering, the heat in the dining room was unexpected and certainly didn’t enhance our experience. I might return, but only during a season I could be assured of an enclosed, climate-controlled dining room."
