"I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but Mellow Mushroom is actually pretty good. Since decent food is pretty thin on the ground in Somerset and green food is all but nonexistent, I really appreciate this place because I can get a nice fresh salad, great mushroom soup, really good pizza, and all served with a warm smile. I always have a good dining experience there, which is way more that I can say for any other Somerset restaurant. Now if I can just get them to offer local wines ... ; Hat tip to Pam, my server from yesterday, whose excellent service, friendly demeanor, and big smile made my solo lunch more fun. "We absolutely LOVE MM! The downtown location was the first one we ever visited, and we always took friends and family there. The atmosphere is truly unique, and the staff is exceptional and genuinely accommodating. We later discovered the SouthGlenn location and fell in love with it as well! Now that we have a little one, we enjoyed taking her to the SouthGlenn location during the Christmas season. Just last week, we went to admire the holiday lights and grab some pizza (her favorite), only to find the restaurant closed. We initially thought we arrived too late on a Sunday, but we were shocked to learn that ALL Colorado locations have shut down except for the one on 16th Street! Please, please, please go and eat there so we don't lose the BEST restaurant in Denver and the only Colorado location of this amazing eatery! It’s our FAVORITE!!!"

"We celebrated our grandson's birthday at Mellow Mushroom, enjoying a pleasant evening with just family and a few close friends. While the food could have been better, the service was actually quite good. We were able to bring our own birthday cake and our grandson could open his presents, which isn't always allowed in restaurants nowadays. It was a quiet weeknight, which probably contributed to the great experience. The opinions on the food were divided within our group - the pizza was a hit, but the specialty sandwiches were underwhelming. The burger was standard, while the spud puppies were bland and lukewarm. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were tasty, and the meatball trio was decent. One person ordered the California Club sandwich, which was surprisingly small and came with potato chips instead of fries or tots. The steak and cheese hoagie was the least enjoyable dish, with overcooked steak and barely any cheese. Unfortunately, it seemed like the kitchen staff didn't put much care into the dishes they served. Our waitress, possibly named Rachel, was the bright spot of the evening with her pleasant and accommodating service. Overall, the experience was lackluster, but I am rounding up my rating to 4 stars solely because of the excellent service we received."

"Popular place.. late may be long so reserve if you can. 3 different seating areas. Great location next to the beach. Upstairs gives the view. Parking is tight.. picture included. There is parking above that you can take stairs down to the restaurant. Cauliflower crust was super good! Calzones are huge and delicious."

"It didn't take long for our pretzel bites to arrive at the table. They were delicious—warm, slightly salty, and the cheese sauce was also warm. They practically tasted free, which was a nice bonus! Next up were our salads, which were enormous, filled with a variety of fresh and crisp vegetables. Finally, our pizza arrived! I absolutely loved the thin crust; it was really thin, flavorful, and well-loaded with toppings. While I wouldn’t describe the onions as caramelized, they were cooked nicely. I managed to eat two slices and half of my salad, saving the rest for later. Ron also enjoyed his house salad and liked his pepperoni and sausage pizza, although he wasn't very impressed with the quality of the sausage. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back!"

"Came on a Monday evening and the place was packed. Got a seat at the bar immediately and our tender was quick to welcome us and tell us about the beer and drinks. My wife ordered a Captain and Coke with Cherry and I got the Sweetwater Dank Tank Series 710bHazy Double IPA which was amazing. We ordered the mushroom soup, absolutely fantastic. We also ordered a plain pizza and a white pizza called The Great White. We were not fans of the sweetness of the red sauce on the plain, but the Great White was sublime. Wonderful service, good prices and a great atmosphere. Great date night or night out with the boys destination."

"I used to love coming here. We visit our kids in Carolina Shores so we stay in North Myrtle Beach several times a year. This might be our last time for awhile. Fountain drinks were unavailable. I get that. STUFF happens. The place was dark and just blah. The pizzas were so overpriced, that we should have left. The store or management has either given up or ownership changed. "Worst pizza we 've ever had. Ordered online and when my husband went to pick it up, the guy at the counter opened it up to show him. Pizza is burnt, looks like its missing 10% of the pizza. When my husband complained, he said normally we don 't serve food like this. No offer to remake or refund. Only the second time we ordered here. 1st time was great, this time, bad enough that we won 't be trying them a third time."

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, starting with the excellent service! My waitress was vegan and let me know that almost everything on the menu can be adapted to be vegan. I ordered some vegan bruschetta and then asked for her recommendation. She suggested sharing a pizza. One half had a Buffalo flavor, topped with potatoes and tempeh for some protein, while the other half featured a “Thai” special with tempeh, cucumber, and tomatoes. I had never tried potatoes on pizza before, but it turned out to be delicious—messy, but delicious! The staff was very friendly, and I loved that they can make almost anything vegan, including everything with vegan cheese! I do wish there had been a bit more tempeh, but overall, it was a great meal!"

"Every time I go into the Sandy Springs Mellow Mushroom I smile because this place represents what was once the heart and soul of Sandy Springs. I love their original location with the bowling balls embedded in the outside wall and loved the funky, divey aspect of the place before Sandy Springs bulldozed them. I don't know where they find the young young wait staff with the colored hair and tattoos and the hippy era vibe. They could well be the daughters and granddaughters of the young women who once hung out on Peachtree Street in the 60's. The new location has been through a couple renovations and has a great bar and inside and outside seating but still provides a welcoming Mellow Mushroom vibe. Obviously while the staff and ambiance are great, warm and welcoming, you go back for the food primarily the pizza and the draft beer and they have a great selection of both. While the pizza is consistently great, I really love the calzone which is huge and a very satisfying meal, the salads are generous and the subs are great as well. I love Mellow Mushroom and appreciate how they were nimble and accommodating during Covid, how pleasant and efficient they were and how they continue to exemplify the best of Sandy Springs."

"We waited 10 minutes without any service, then a guy finally came over to take our order. Moments later, a girl approached us, and we informed her that someone had already taken our order. She responded with annoyance, asking, "Who was it?" When we told her it was a guy, she rolled her eyes and walked off. After our food was served, the female server tried to overcompensate with excessive friendliness to make up for her earlier reaction, which only added to the unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this restaurant."

"Best staff and manager, Megan. They went upstairs and beyond to host our Woodland High cheer team at Cartersville after a competition. Megan was so easy to work and the planning of our event was so easy. The terrace was a perfect place and could keep the whole team and the parents. Megan was so easy to communicate and set up a buffet style serving area for the girls. The staff service was exceptional. Thanks again! You've found out that we're State Bound so unforgettable!"

"I have visited Mellow Mushroom in Aiken twice and I am thrilled to find a restaurant that offers vegan and vegetarian options. The salads and balsamic vinaigrette dressing are fantastic! Although I haven't tried the vegan pizzas yet, I ordered a tofu hoagie without mayonnaise and cheese. They brought me a sample instead, which didn't bother me too much, but there was still feta cheese in it. I appreciated the option to choose rye bread. I will definitely be returning for more."

"The online menu features a selection of vegan dishes, clearly labeled as such. However, when ordering from the in-house takeout menu, these options were not listed. Despite specifying multiple times that I wanted items from the vegan menu, my order arrived with cheese and mayonnaise. After calling to have my order remade, I was informed by the staff member that she did not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. It is disappointing that there was no indication of the need to modify the order when placing it, especially since the items were listed as vegan online. This experience was frustrating and could have been avoided with better communication."

"I visited this location about five years and had nothing but good things to say about it. I enjoyed my visit so much I wrote about it on Yelp. I was there again last night, and things have really changed. The young woman who sat me was very friendly but then I waited awhile for a server to come by. When he walked by my table he seem surprised to see me. He was not friendly and seemed to be in a bad mood. He barely spoke to me the entire evening. He wasn't helpful when he told me there were no pretzel bites and didn't offer an explanation as to why they were on the menu but not available. Foolishly, I ordered a half order of pretzels instead. It was far too much for one person, which is entirely my fault, but they weren't good. I waited for quite awhile for them and when they came they were very hard and dry. If any garlic butter has been applied to them, it had long since been absorbed by the dough and dried out. All they tasted like were salt and they were very hard to chew. I only at one, and not even all of it. I got the impression that the reason I waited so long is that the pretzel bites were ready in the kitchen for awhile and my server just didn't bring them to me. This was especially evident when my pizza arrived about one minute after the pretzels. It was my second time ordering a Thai Dye pizza and the only complaint I had my first visit five years ago was that there was barely any chicken on my pizza. That was true again on this visit. I counted five small pieces altogether, two of the pieces of pizza did not have any chicken at all on them. The cucumbers were cut in such huge pieces that they were still cold inside and not really appetizing. My server never came back to check on me until I was almost ready to leave. He didn't offer a drink refill until I asked for water. I felt like I was a bother to him. There was another waiter working a table near mine and he was very friendly to his customers. Maybe my server just has a different personality but if so, being a waiter is not the right job choice for him. It was overall a very disappointing experience. I was looking forward to eating at Mellow Mushroom again when I realized I would be coming to Herndon, and it just didn't measure up to my previous experience. Fortunately, I don't get to Herndon very often, so I won't be back."

"We visited late at night on a Saturday and the place was busy but not over-crowded! We hiked up to the rooftop bar and it was a nice spot. Yes, the pizza is pricey but it's delicious! The great thing about this place is that the drinks are slightly cheaper then bar drinks. The only room for improvement that I have is the service. We waited a while for our server to come to us and then we waited a while for the drinks to make it to the table. We did not eat though because they were closing their kitchen. The servers were super friendly though and the manager was polite when they gave us last call for the roof. Overall, good experience, would recommend, and will be coming back."

"Great place to grab a bite to eat and relax. The atmosphere is laid back and the food is great. On our visit we had Pretzel Bites as an appetizer and split a large pizza as Funky Q Pacific Rim -BBQ Hawaiian. Both the appetizer and pizza were great with lots of flavor and offer a little different toppings than typical BBQ and Hawaiian. The food was not the typical run pizza, it had a definite signature taste for the reputation that proceeds the restaurant. This location offers a roomy outdoor seating area that offers accessibility to the bar, and this location appeared clean and well maintained with nothing in disrepair. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. This location is located in part of a plaza so parking could be a challenge during busier times, but easy to navigate in and out of. Prices are fair and affordable for the food and experience. Definitely will be headed back for seconds as we had a great experience."
