"Me and my boyfriend always seen this place and never even thought of coming in until today and I wish we didn’t waste $150 at this place. We came in and were standing at the front viewing one of their menus waiting to be serviced for a good 8 minutes. I don’t mind waiting, however another Caucasian family came in and they were sat right away. I tried not to think anything of it and give it a chance. When we were sat, me and my bf were eating the bread and chips that is served before placing an order. Under the bread mixed in the chips was a strand of hair. I look over at the people in the kitchen and also notice nobody is wearing a hair net smh. She gave us another one because of it. I once again tried to give them a chance and I told my bf we should’ve left from the start. We order our dinner. The $35 steak is the smallest but it was enjoyable. We ordered two steakhouse burgers as well. I took like 3 bites and was full so I let the waitress take our food to wrap it up at the end of our experience. I’m just now warming up my food from David’s to eat. And took two bites and behold, there is another piece of hair. I feel like throwing up. I’m disgusted. This place is overpriced, unsanitary, and definitely unenjoyable now. And there is no chance the hair belonged to either me or my bf because we have curly hair and this hair is short and straight. I’m so grossed out. How does this occur two times in a row?? Do not come to this place."

"I rented the Rabbit Hole for my husband’s 80th birthday on Saturday January 20th 2024.Let me start by saying this is the classiest and most beautiful venue in the area. We attended a comedy show there in November and couldn’t believe something this nice was so close to us. I just knew my husband’s party would have to be held there.Chef Matt was very helpful in the planning and food choices for my 30 guests. He said the cost would include a bartender and a server. I voiced concern about the bar because, at the event in November, the bar was not stocked, the bartender was continually going to the restaurant side to retrieve vermouth, cherries, and other items. People waited long periods of time to even order drinks. Matt assured me that would not happen.Well, after arriving at 6 the bartender was placing water glasses on the tables. My friend was at the bar, ordered first and received a drink at 6:25. My husband and I must have waited 20 minutes for 2 vodka sodas and 2 manhattans. And the bartender brought them over on a tray from the restaurant bar.Other guests waited 40 minutes for a drink. Every time I looked there was no one behind the bar. I went into the restaurant and asked for the manager. Dylan was behind the bar working. I said I need a bartender in the other bar for my party. He said someone called in sick. That’s unfortunate but was not my problem. He sent the bartender back who obviously didn’t have an open cash draw. He had to start tabs by writing on a pad. Meanwhile, the apps came out right on time but most people didn’t eat. They were still waiting to order a drink. Then, the bartender started serving Caesar salad to the tables. Where was the server that I was supposed to have?Entrees came out right on time. Hot and delicious. After dinner I started bussing tables and a few guests helped. There was no way the bartender was going to be able to clear before desert. As the night went on our daughter asked for 5 shots of fireball. Bartender went to restaurant bar to get shot glasses. He said “ for all your trouble, these are on the house. And keep the rest.” There was a little more in the bottle. So we said we’ll have more shots. Again he had to go over and get more shot glasses.Unfortunately at the end of the night he charged for the shots. So, exactly what I was worried about came to be. People waiting too long for drinks, a bar that wasn’t stocked, and a bartender missing in action.I am not criticizing the help you have. They were working very hard. And I would have had more understanding about a sick call if the exact thing hadn’t happened at the last event I attended. This is unacceptable. I have been to the busiest bars in the area and have never waited longer than a couple of minutes for my drink order.I did not get what I paid for. My anxiety level was thru the roof making it very hard to enjoy the evening.I very much hope the Rabbit Hole is successful. But if this is the way it’s run I think reviews and word if mouth might lead to its demise.I would appreciate talking about this with you further. After sending this, I was told the owner or manager would be in touch. I have heard nothing.Parking: Easy"

"I don't even know where to start. I don't leave reviews often, but when I do, it's to acknowledge an outstanding experience, something The Standard delivered and exceeded our expectations! I have been to 40 states and 30 countries, and I can truly say that this was in the top three best dining experiences of my life. That being said, my wife and I have lived around Nashville for a few years and have always wanted to eat here, and this weekend couldn’t have been a better excuse to splurge. My wife became a U.S. citizen this past week, then a few days after, it was our fourth wedding anniversary, and then next week is her birthday! Unfortunately, no reservations were available, but Sharon helped us get in at the last minute on a Saturday. We’re so unbelievably lucky and grateful because I NEEDED that experience. We arrived at 7:45 sharp and were whisked away to our table, where Rylee took care of us for the evening. The ambiance was so warm and inviting. The restaurant was quiet, with music playing subtly in the background, with tunes like Frank Sinatra to set the mood. We started with some drinks and the Filet Tartare. When I say it was another level, it was on another level. We were about to order another, but Rylee showed up with our Caesar salad, the best I’ve had in a long time. From there, the main course arrived – I was close to getting the seabass, but my wife talked some sense into me, and we both went with the Standard Filet. This is why men need a better half because sometimes, you need sense talked into you! My wife was spot-on, and this was, by far, the best steak I’ve ever eaten, which says a lot because I’ve been to steakhouses in Brazil and Argentina, two countries known for their beef. This blew those out of the water. We both ordered it rare, and it was cooked to perfection. We savored every bite. I don’t usually eat that slowly, but I needed to make this last. Finally, the last bite came, and I was so sad. Everything about this was perfection – the truffle, the sauce, the steak – I’ve never had a combination like it. We were about to call it a night, but Rylee came over and offered us a heated-up red velvet cookie with Madagascar vanilla ice cream on top. Holy moly, YES. Ugh. Everything about the Standard was absolute perfection. Sometimes, you might be inclined to check out the newer modern steakhouse overlooking the city, overlooking a place like The Standard – I implore you to reconsider and GO HERE. From the service to the Southern hospitality to the food and drinks, this is what perfection looks like, which, as most of you know, is a challenge to find in today’s world. All I can tell you is that I had dreams of their steak last night, and we are already planning our next visit. See y’all soon, and thanks again for everything.
