"We decided to spend Memorial Day Weekend in Clear Lake California. It was a Friday evening We arrived here at 6:30PM it was very quiet in the restaurant (didn 't see anyone in this area but we heard a lot of music and singing in the bar. Looked like Karaoke. When we walked into the bar through the other glass door, opposite the restaurant, everyone stopped to stare(? at us. I can tell they were regulars/locals almost like out of a movie. We took a seat to watch the singer. Soon after, a young server appeared to our table, his name was Jeremy. I asked Jeremy what time does the restaurant side opened, and he said 5pm. (It was 6:33pm . The restaurant was empty. We got up from the movie set, and Jeremy escorted us across the way to the restaurant side. I asked if we could sit outside, and he obliged! Outside was NO customers but the most spectacular and perfect view of Clear Lake! (I imagine I could have had my Wedding and Reception here Another server showed up to take our drink order after dropping off our water and warm bread and butter. Her name was Miriam. I found out later that she was promoted from dishwasher to bus girl. Both were extremely professional, kind, and accommodating. Normally, when a restaurant is empty, like this, it is usually a red flag. I inquired about the Bartenders ' mixology skills, to Guage what drink I was to order, and Miriam ensured us that the bartender knew his assignment! Miriam was spot on! Perfect!!! Our (Top Shelf Long Island Ice Teas did not disappoint! We placed our order: Prime Rib Medium Well with Rice for me, and Wifey had the Seafood Linguine. My salad with thousand island came first, and I forgot to say no onions. Once I removed the obvious fresh red onions, the salad was enjoyable! I couldn 't resist asking my server where all the restaurant customers were. They say it was Memoral Day weekend, and people go out of town. We could hear the bar side was packed with neighbors and regulars singing Karaoke, and actually sound nice. Entrées arrived. I was literally shocked of the prime rib presentation! Hot, Seasoned, Tender, Tasty! Melted in my mouth!! My official compliments to the Chef! Seafood Linguine was a good choice for Wifey, with no complaints. Long Islands are doing the job! Jeremy and Miriam took turns checking in on us to ensure customer satisfaction! I asked Miriam about desert and she recited it like it was a Easter Speach. Wifey chose the warm brownies with ice cream. $100 later plus a well deserved $20 tip we were out the door and very satisfied. As we were walking out I saw 3 tables of customers they were working on. As a result of our experience here I will definitely return and hope to see these two professionals Jeremy and Miriam again!!"

"DON'T DO IT. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The only thing good about this place was the complementary bread which was actually good and our server was nice. First thing... our food was given to the wrong table. I am assuming because a young couple does not look like they can order or afford good food. The much older couple they gave our food to actually ordered a burger instead. What we got... Blackened halibut INEDIBLE. Like, actually inedible. All you could taste was salt and spice and the halibut was maybe half a centimeter thick. Lets be real, I never tell the staff the food is bad... but this was completely horrible. I told the waitress, her apology seemed genuine and she asked me if she could get me another piece but seasoned differently. I decided to give it a second go so per her suggestion I got it seasoned with their herb butter (which comes with the bread). The new halibut was decent but definitely did not taste fresh (had that previously frozen texture). Ribs By the time our food came to our table, the only warm thing on this plate (and by warm, I mean slightly higher than room temp) was the ribs. The baked potato and greens seemed like they were sitting for forever. They were not even warm. Needless to say we will not be coming back for the food. EVER. Surprisingly I would go back for the complementary bread. It was nice and moist and paired well with their herb butter. The place is located in the Red Lion Hotel and there is a private parking lot with lots of parking."
