"I have had two sandwiches there, the first was a French Dip that was awesome, the second was a Jerk Seitan which might be the best vegan sandwich in NYC in my opinion. They also have a great selection of premade vegan salads, and dishes in the fridge and freezer. My only complaint would be if they washed the grill between cooking non-vegan and vegan food, versus just scrapping it. I know most places don't but you can see it, if that bothers you."

"It can be quite the task to find the perfect restaurant to take my ex-chef father to for special occasions, an adventure that was further complicated by the pressures of the ever-stressful Father’s Day Dinner. Thank goodness for Blue Duck Tavern in Foggy Bottom! The menu boasts fresh, local ingredients, simplistic dishes, and phenomenal flavors that hit the spot. It can bring ex-chefs to their knees. The restaurant is gorgeous – high ceiling, aesthetically pleasing interior architecture, large windows that allow a lot of light inside, and a very quaint and beautiful outdoor seating area. Reservations are recommended for any day of the week but parking is amazingly not too difficult so it’s totally worth the trip. Blue Duck is affiliated with the Hyatt hotel, so expect a mix of tourists and locals looking for an excellent dining experience. On to the food! I’ve heard rave reviews about the signature Pear Martinis…but I could not pass up the opportunity to order a Cucumber-Ginger Martini. Super satisfying and surprisingly not too sweet for my palette! The ginger really balanced out the drink and gave it a perfect kick. Will probably not please everyone – my mom made quite the face after having a sip of my drink – but I thought it was pretty fantastic (I had two. ‘Nough said! Blue Duck has an extensive wine list and a plethora of other signature drinks and a large beer selection so there’s a little something for everyone. The dishes are tapas-style, even the entrees. For example, crab cakes are served without any type of garnish, just two cakes in pan with some type of tartar sauce on the side. I would definitely recommend ordering side dishes to supplement the meal, since you won’t get much with the entrée! All that foodie hype sure lived up to expectations. Not to overuse my current favorite obsession..but the crab cakes (what else would I order?! were delicious and were very meaty, they did not taste too fried, weren’t greasy/full of mayonnaise, and weren’t overwhelmed by breading. They were the perfect temperature and very evenly cooked. Enough to share…though go the selfish route and eating them all for yourself! I recommend ordering a couple of side dishes in addition to entrees in order to have a more complete meal. My favorites were the roasted mushrooms (an assortment of shitakes, black truffle, porcini and the daily harvest vegetable. I lucked out and had sugar snap peas sauteed in chipotle chile butter…excellent flavors. And be sure to save room for dessert : We opted for banana chocolate chip sorbet, which consisted of three incredibly generous scoops, and the signature apple pie, which really is more of an apple cake. Plenty to share, though to be fair I refused to let the banana sorbet stray too far from my spoon. Service was wonderful, and I loved how all the food was carried to the tables – the runners/servers all knew who ordered what! Waiter offered great suggestions (especially for dessert! and was attentive and knowledgable. The menu is relatively limited regarding number of offerings but that is not to say it’s at all limited in flavors!…other intriguing dishes include cuttlefish ravioli, smoked sturgeon, and marinated sheep’s milk cheese with fava beans. Brunch breakfast menus looked excellent as well, all the more motivation to go back!"

"There are not many still open in the St Louis market, most had poor customer service. This location is a bright shining star. Our waitress today was awesome, the food was served quickly, and she was very attentive without being overly so. If all the locations had service like this, they would still be open. Keep up the great work!"

"I know I've already reviewed Harbor deli but I have to review it again! Let me start by saying a few days before my daughter got married in July 2022 we were informed that the entire day we're getting ready and taking photos getting ready there was no food included. Plenty of mimosas and coffee or juices but no food. I called Harbor deli and asked them to make me some platters last minute to pick up first thing in the morning on my daughters wedding day not only did they out do themselves but they threw in a fruit platter as a congratulations. Now today is Labor Day and just happens to be my birthday and I wake up in the morning and my teenage daughter slept out and my husband is at an early fire house event, and I'm hungry for breakfast and all I could think about is it's a holiday I'm gonna have to cook myself breakfast on my birthday. Nope Harbor deli is open!!! And they are making me my birthday breakfast and my mom who lives upstairs her favorite egg sandwich. Harbor deli is amazing! Always fresh delicious food, always reliable, mine and my families favorite deli!"

"To truly appreciate Blinks, you simply need to visit and order your meal. You'll be greeted by one of the friendliest cashiers in the world, and you'll leave with a smile on your face. Blinks is situated in the heart of Industrial Long Island City, catering mainly to workers looking for a quick bite. It has the charm of a classic greasy spoon that feels familiar and welcoming, thanks to the friendly servers and chefs. A place doesn’t need to be fancy to be good; sometimes, all it takes is a welcoming atmosphere that serves you what you want, with a smile. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Blinks Deli and Pizza!"

"If you've never been to a Bread Butter, think of it as one of those multipurpose food markets where you can get anything from sandwiches to salads to burgers to stir fry in various stations, a buffet consisting of a potpourri of different foods, and even random groceries. Oh, and you can get breakfast too. That's really its bread butter (pun intended). Not the best food by any means, but simply a multidimensional place. This place unlike some of the other locations is a bit on the darker side due to a lack of lighting across the interior. I prefer the stir fry from here, though I believe the pastas aren't a bad option either. The buffets are tempting, but remember not to overstuff as you certainly don't want to spend $20 on lunch."

"Stopped in here for a quick lunch before leaving the city and was pleasantly surprised. We got a couple of subs that were made fresh as we waited. I had the Signature which was piled thick with grilled pastrami, corned beef and swiss cheese, then topped with coleslaw. It was an awesome sandwich and way too much food for one meal, so I get lunch today as well! My wife and daughter both got the Zoolander which had a deep fried chicken cutlet with full strips of bacon and lots of melted, gooey mozzarella. It looked very good as well and they ended up taking half home as well so maybe I'll get one for lunch as well if they're not careful : . In any case if you're out visiting the MOMA and looking for a good lunch, stop by Global Kitchen you will not be disappointed!"

"The food and location are great, as usual however the parking in Ocoquan is hard to find! Be prepared to walk a short distance to the restaurant, but this gives you the chance to peruse the other shops and such along the road so it?s not all bad. The restaurant has limited amounts of certain foods, so if you have something in particular in mind, plan on being early! And while you?re there, try the **** Mary?s, they?re quite good. Everything we ordered was delicious and"

"I really like this place. they didn't mess my order. service was smooth. Waiting time was fast. this is only bad when it is ordered by grubhub to have it delivered. However, they need more vegan options! no, but I love it. coffee was not bad at all. Eating is never burned. it is also very popular. Whenever I go and pick up my order, I am always satisfied how much people really enjoy it. the environment makes me feel like home ad! I don't give up 5 stars because they raised the vegan prices. that's not good, but yes, I'd give them 95!"

"I came on a Sunday at around 1PM. The place was basically empty. Had I read the reviews beforehand, I might have steered clear. But I'm pleasantly surprised. Speedy service, soft bagel, didn't skimp on lox or cream cheese. It's expensive, but so is every bagel shop within walking distance. I am proceeding with caution but I think I'll come again."

"It seems there was some confusion regarding my order; I had requested a western burger but was offered a vegetarian option instead. When I declined the vegetarian burger, they replaced it with a regular burger that didn’t come with the usual western toppings. Despite this mix-up, the food was delicious overall. So, aside from the mistake, it was an excellent experience!"

"I visited the restaurant yesterday and, as always, the atmosphere was inviting and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, I ordered a chicken panini that tasted fine at first, but unfortunately, it didn't agree with my stomach. It seems there may have been an issue with the preparation, so I urge the staff to ensure proper hygiene practices and avoid cross-contamination. I've been feeling unwell ever since I left."

"beach music, friendly staff, chipper decoration and fast service. the kitchen agreed to cook my food in real butter on request. my waitress did an excellent work, in between it went. the gries are huge and the perfect mix of creamy and chewing. the speck comes thick cut and fleshy. the sniper eggs have this wonderfully thin texture they can only get on a grill. and they make cruel in a French toast! they come early and they could also see some built firefighters. just a question, real cream for the coffee, please?"

"My wife and I wanted to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning in a different place. We decided on this diner because it has the oldtime diner look and we were not disappointed in that it did have the feel as well. All the indoor seating tables have a bright airy touch. There is a counter if you prefer to eat there. The service was instant. I had a short stack of whole wheat blueberry pancakes with coffee, the warm maple syrup in the metal pitcher was a nice touch. My wife had two eggs over-easy with bacon as well as coffee. We both were satisfied with our vittles. The clean bathrooms are downstairs. On a Sunday all metered parking is free and more than ample. Nice place for a change, Hastings is very quaint and great for a short Sunday stroll."

"First time here and really enjoyed ourselves! Buffalo wings were DAM GOOD!!!! Waffle was good too not overpowering with toppings and strawberries were FRESH! Caesar salad was large but very fresh and tasty! Everything was fresh. Waiters were very friendlyand helpful. We kind of stumbled into the lady who served us because the first waiter may not have wanted to. It worked outbecause our waiter was good and very attentive. Lastly I was not paying attention when paying my bill by card and intended onleaving a 10.00 tip but it totaled 16. The employee who rang us up immediately came into the parking lot searching for us. Notknowing why she was outside I honked and yes she wanted to alert me that I left a larger tip than I may have thought. I askedthe lady to leave it alone and give the waiter the entire tip. I truly appreciate the honesty and professionalism beyond wordsand would definitely recommend this place for good food and honest service!"

"I could have sworn I wrote a review after my visit two months ago, but I can't find it anywhere—strange! Anyway, this was my second breakfast visit in a few months, and both times have been equally enjoyable. I arrived on a freezing Sunday morning in late March—ugh, I wish I were back in Florida! The place was almost empty at 8:30 AM, so we kept it simple. I ordered a hot and fresh Western omelet with hashbrowns and rye toast, which was delicious. The eggs were perfectly soft, and I had Taylor ham on the side, along with fries, white toast, and gravy for the fries. It may sound basic, but so many places overlook those little requests. Here, everything was fresh and tasty. My coffee was refilled without me even asking, and the atmosphere was modern and clean. I really don’t understand the negative reviews—this diner is at the top of my list in New Jersey!"

"Well it started off strong, we were welcomed in and took a seat. Menu looked awesome and I tried an omelet with potatoes along with my husband and then my son had an egg with bacon and potatoes. My son and husbands potatoes were the regular fried potatoes but for some reason when they brought my potatoes, they were like steamed and almost mashed. I have no idea what happened but I don’t really understand how two plates of regular fried potatoes could be brought out and then give one person steamed potatoes and there’s absolutely no way they were ever fried. I wish I would’ve taken a picture, they were disgusting. But I still truly would like to understand why the other two guests at my table plus everyone else in the room were given regular fried potatoes and I wasn’t. I’m sure I’ll never be given the answer but I will say we will never be back. Food is too expensive to be given what I was given today."
