"I love the opportunity to support small local businesses. Vonda's has been my go-to place for monthly brunch with a friend. I enjoy the fried fish, fried chicken, and other southern menu items. On my last visit, I ordered the jumbo grilled shrimp and was very disappointed. The shrimp were not jumbo and very overcooked. It seemed that they were frozen shrimp (versus fresh) which may have affected the texture as well. With that said, the server was very professional and helpful when responding to my concern. She was pleasant and offered to bring another order of the shrimp which she did. Unfortunately, that did not resolve the problem, so maybe it's just they way the menu item is prepared. Out of my appreciation for the server and my past positive experiences, I didn't make any further fuss about it. However, I wouldn't order the shrimp again."
