"My party encouraged me to write this review in the hopes that this info will be used to help improve the establishment. I made a birthday reservation online for my fiancee and called to confirm ahead of time. When we arrived, we were told, Hey guys, just sit wherever tonight. This made me a little nervous, since the staff didn 't know my party had arrived. I had asked for a specific table in the reservation notes, but since we had to seat ourselves, we picked an empty table that we liked. We asked the staff to please wipe it down though, since there were plates and food left behind from previous customers. The staff kept coming back saying, We 'll wipe that down in just a minute. This happened about 4-5 times for over 15 minutes. So far, not a big deal though. Then, the food came. The waiter dropped off the food and ran away. No one came back to ask if the food was okay at any point during the night. Meanwhile, we had ordered a blunt when we placed our order. Eventually, we called for our waiter to come over. We asked when the blunt was coming, to which they said, You didn 't get that yet? It took about 45 minutes total to receive the blunt. By this time, we were done with our food. The food that remained was cold. The waiter eventually dropped off the blunt and immediately ran off again. We were sitting there like, Okay, now how do we light this? Eventually, I saw tables across the room that had matches and ash trays. None of the 4 tables in our vicinity had these. A waiter saw me grabbing them explained that customers accidentally take them home sometimes. At one point, I snuck off and asked about the birthday reservation. The waiter said I don 't know if we do anything for that, but I 'll see. Thankfully, the waiter gave my fiancee a cookie, but quickly rushed off again. No one was checking in to see if our food was okay or anything the whole night. We wondered if maybe every employee was just high. But unfortunately, we weren 't until long after dinner."

"It's a common occurrence at many restaurants. You sit down at your local diner and see a group of 10 kids come in, order only 2 orders of fries to share, and then leave without leaving a tip for the server. Parents should do a better job teaching their children about the importance of tipping and treating others with respect. It's not right to treat servers like they don't matter. Remember the saying, "don't poo where you eat" - be kind and show respect to everyone, including your server."

"We had the pleasure of dining at Dio Deka last Saturday and Sunday evening. We were staying at Hotel Los Gatos and had a reservation for Sunday but decided to see if we could get in on Saturday last minute... even though they were very busy... they squeezed us in. I heard wonderful things about Chef Kevin and I couldn’t wait to dine here and he didn’t disappoint!! Both nights our experience at this charming restaurant was excellent! Starting from Service... Saturday with Jeremy and Sunday with Daniele. Both took very good care of us and both went over and beyond. The food, wine cocktails were absolutely Amazing! Some of my favorites Starters Warm pita bread Yum!Grilled Octopus very flavorful and tender, not chewy. Craving it right now!Scallops perfectly cooked and delicious. Crab Cake I am not a fan of crab cakes. The few times I have had them they are so dry and bland, but not this one! You actually taste the crab and tastes so fresh. Delicious!Village Salad I ordered both nights. So refreshing with chilled cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, olives, and a block of feta... I know it’s just a salad, but it’s the best!For the Main course Airline Chicken Mary’s chicken so tender and with great flavor. Osso Buco I heard this was Chef Kevin’s Grandma’s recipe. I didn’t try it but my Hubby said it was stars Truffle Burger I did try this one and it has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!! Tons of flavor!As for the desserts... I honestly don’t know what each one was but they were all delicious and made to perfection by Chef Enzo This place is stars all the way! It definitely did not disappoint and I can’t wait to go back!! I highly recommend"

"First time here. Tried the original gyro. It was pretty good. It could have used more meat, but had plenty of tzatziki sauce, which I like, although the sauce was a bit too runny. The place does not look very inviting for dining in. It’s a bit run down. I’d recommend take out."

"there are so many things that i can say about this location but its nothing short of spectacular. I grew up in Winthrop I remember when this location used to be a McDonalds long time ago and i must say the best thing to come into Winthrop is nicks place. I remember in middle school I would walk to nicks place with my friends and order a sandwich and sit down and eat. The food was always amazing the staff was always kind. Forward now many years later and i can honestly say the same thing all over again. Although ive grown up and moved away from Winthrop i always find myself coming back to get a nice hot and fresh meal. I now live in Beverly and i still will make the drive from time to time to go eat inside nicks! I’ve brought my parents my grandparents other family members my old manager and friends on many different occasions to nicks place because i know it wont disappoint when they order. Because i live far ive tried other nick’s restaurants that are closer to me but nothing compares to Winthrop not in ambiance and not in food so the trip is a must from time to time. Yesterday i was feeling a little home sick i missed spending time with my mother and grandmother so i decided to pick them up and take them to nicks. When i tell you the experience was nothing short of amazing i mean it. GABRIELLE was awesome we ordered our food and sat down and Gabrielle took care of us the whole time. She remembered me from previous times that ive been there she held up great conversation and brought our food out and treats to the table she made sure everything was neat and clean she was very attentive and kind it made the experience so much better. I seen her work at other tables too she gave the same energy all around. They have another woman who waits tables she is Albanian her name escapes me but shes great as well every time i go she treats myself and my family so kind its honestly a breathe of fresh air to get that kind of treatment. Now the food i ordered a fishermans platter and a lobster mac and cheese the fishermans platter never disappoints im so picky when it comes to fish like the minute it starts to taste “fishy” im done. The fishermans plate has never had that oder when ive ordered it its always tasted fresh and tasty. The lobster mac is my weakness i love mac and cheese and the tender lobster thats on it will leave your mouth drooling. The mac and cheese is definitely a shareable plate its very rich and creamy so you can be satisfied without finishing the whole thing. So i always have left overs to take home and trust it taste good reheated too! Ive ordered a bunch or different foods from them there is definitely something there for everyone the staff behind the desk works really hard and efficient you can tell the place is a well oiled machine. I normally dont leave this detailed of a review but i do believe this place deserves it again i been going here for years moved away and i still find myself coming back so its a well worth review."

"The Bell Diner surprised me yet again I was pondering what to have for lunch and one of their lunch specials caught my eye. Old School Roast Sandwich. This meal came with the most delicious Greek Lemon Soup the chicken and the lemon flavor made my mouth water with all these fabulous flavor combinations. When the sandwich arrived the nicely cooked roast beef sat inside a fresh tasting ciabatta bread. OMG the meat and cheese and this tender bread was delicious and satisfying to say the least. It didn't stop there this special also came with a hearty salad and one of the best homemade Italian dressing I have ever had. Add my favorite drink a diet Pepsi to the mix and I ate like a king for a very reasonable price.. Edwin my server was very attentive and refilled my soda when it was empty, plus his Excellent customer service there is what makes him a diner favorite. Kudos Bell Diner you really out did your self again"

"We had date night dinner reservations here on Saturday night January 8, 2022. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We are always astonished by how seemingly complex and difficult it seems for the hostess to decode their iPad and determine whereto seat a party of two who has had a reservation for a week, but once we got past that we were seated at a nice table. First,this place is in a hotel moderately upscale multiple dining options throughout the hotel, this one being the nicest. For themenu prices, we thought it would have been a bit nicer if they created a bit more of a dining room/cozy feel, possibly closingthe curtains that are open to all hotel guests walking by whether they have yelling children or if they are dragging a redigloo cooler. There is a nice bar located centrally in the restaurant but an unfortunate placement of a light fixture impedesviewing of the televisions hanging around the bar, we thought that was odd. Still however, we had a great server named Hunter.He was prompt and courteous and all too ready to answer every question about the menu. My husband had the halibut and said itwas great and cooked very evenly throughout. The bar ran out of Woodford reserve and he was subbed another bourbon withoutupcharge. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it was the most delicious I have ever had and I would return to thisrestaurant just to order this again. This is a 8 on the 1 10 scale. Yes recommend. Please find a way to create an intimatedining experience in this restaurant and it will be a literal home run"

"First of all, the house dressing? Absolutely AMAZING. I have been dining here for over 10 years and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. However, I’m writing this review to highlight how well they managed my partner’s food allergy. We often encounter issues when ordering since he has a milk allergy (not just lactose intolerance), and usually, about 70% of the time, our meals still include milk or cheese. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients and took great care to double-check with the cook about what was in our order when we picked it up. "After checking online reviews, schedule a last minute business lunch. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area."

"Menu was entirely to large. I can only assume they do 1/3 of it actually well. The rum and coke I ordered was the weakest 9$ drink I've ever ordered. The manager was trying to keep track of all other workers masks, telling them to put them on. Then proceeds to put it just under his nose. I'm not super concerned with the covid but if you're gonna jump on your workers to wear a mask, use the mask right yourself silly. The caesar salad was comically bad, olive oil with a touch of caesar. I've had better bagged salads from big y. This place used to be our go to whenever we came to visit my grandparents. Hence the only reason I didn't bring this to light in the restaurant. Didn't want my grandfather getting worked up. Pizza was solid, but again, not what it used to be. If you've used to come here, but haven't been in a minute, maybe find somewhere else. Super disappointed."

"We went there for the first time tonight for dinner. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I had a hard time deciding on which dinner to choose as they all looked so good. I chose the Gyros Platter. I was especially pleased with the Greek salad, so fresh and the dressing was amazing. The restaurant appeared very clean, and the portions were very generous. "I absolutely love the tuna and spicy tuna rolls and would definitely recommend them as my favorites. My family particularly enjoys the Alaskan roll and the noodles. We also found the cheese wontons (also known as crab rangoons) delightful. The salad that comes with the sushi is fresh and delicious! However, we were not fond of the angel roll. The sweetheart roll was beautiful and had a good flavor, but it was a bit too soft and somewhat mushy. Ultimately, it all comes down to personal preference! Overall, we had a pleasant experience."

"I've given it 3 chances. First, the burger was excellent but the panini's are not good. While they are flavorful, they are always soggy and mostly bread.The desserts are lackluster. I really don't get it. Maybe I have high expectations, but if you advertise a specific flavor and its not noticble, I think you're missing the mark as a baker.My friends have always raved about how amazing the desserts are, but I'll pass from now on.2 stars...friendly staff and cute interior kept it from being only 1."

"So we’ve been coming here for quite some time. It’s a nice Coney Island and the food is really good! But, yesterday was exceptional! My partner ordered a chicken fajita wrap and the waitress misheard him (it does get loud in there with all the guests) but, brought him a grilled chicken pita. My partner was nervous to return it cause we don’t like to do that. But the waitress (don’t know her name but she’s slender, blonde hair wears a few gold necklaces) was super cool and apologized and made it correct. On top of that when we were leaving she brought over a free dessert to go, which was really tasty! I’m posting because I should have posted awhile ago! We always have great service and the food, like I said Is really good! The chicken noodle soup is some of the best I’ve had, better than “fancier” restaurants! We will be coming here again and again!"

"Can't go wrong with Leo's Coney Island. This location was no exception when I ate in here a couple of weeks ago. I got the chicken kabob with a salad. It tasted great and It was pretty reasonably priced. The best attribute of this place is probably the variety on the menu. The selection is quite amazing and I would say it is deeper than Denys. And that is saying a lot. For instance, the person that I was with ordered lasagna. It's not everywhere that you can order both lasagna and kabobs. Overall, perhaps not the absolute best Leo's around, but no complaints whatsoever. Their food is flavorful and their menu is very very deep."
