"Never had a bad experience at Perkins. At my last visit, the waitress was attentive and courteous. She came back several times to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent and came out right away. 10/10 would recommend if you're jonesing for some Pancakes. Oh, and always take a muffin to go. You know you wanna! "The manager of the place is horrible. I heard that the manager is the one that doesn't allow samples because he is cheap and when I asked why to one of the employees they said it was because of Covid which I don't understand considering that if Covid was to start it was there with how dirty the place is. The only upside is there is one employee there that was really helpful and did her best to provide good service to me and my family when we visited there. I don't remember her name but she had glasses and she started recently but she has amazing service. I wish her the best!!"

"This was my first real job with a clock-in and clock-out routine, many years ago when this store first opened. We spent two full evenings learning how to scoop the perfect quantity of ice cream before we even opened, and we got to enjoy all the ice cream we practiced with. Back then, the menu was much simpler, but we still had 31 flavors, and funny enough, my favorite remains one of the classics: Pralines and Cream. I tend to keep things simple. I recently returned to the store to revisit my old favorite ice cream and to relive some nostalgia. Being back inside the shop felt very comfortable. The shop itself was nearly unchanged since it first opened, but the menu had significantly expanded. They now offer a variety of modern items in addition to ice cream, sherbet, sundaes, and banana splits, which were the only options available when I worked there. The ice cream is still excellent, and everyone I encountered was very friendly. I enjoyed my nostalgic visit and will definitely return."

"Wanted to rate it zero or negative number but not option for that!!! Went this morning 5:07am order coffee and a plain bagelToasted with veggies cream cheese. Opened bagel when I got to work it was burnt and hard as a rock!!! Absolutely inedible. Tried calling to voice my complaint, and it took 4 calls before they answered the phone. Indian lady answered I told her my complaint and was told OUR TOASTER IS BROKEN AND BAGEL IS OLD SO IT GETS HARD QUICKLY she repeated several times that their toaster was broken. I told her I wasn 't interested in the problem only that I wanted my order voided because it was in edible and I was not going to pay for something that I couldn 't eat. She again told me that the bagel was old and that 's why it got hard and then if I come back tomorrow, she 'll give me a new bagel and cream cheese. I told her I absolutely would not be back there and I wanted my money back and after she kept ranting and ranting about how I had to come back I hung up on her. We 're Dunkin ' Donuts on the planet save your money and go elsewhere because you will not get what you pay for."

"I placed an order for 3 coffees. Agnes, the cashier repeated each order correctly. I heard her tell someone, medium not small ...I assume she was talking about my order in between taking my donut order. Wait time was longer than usual. In a hurry, I grabbed my order and went home, just to realized that one of my coffee was the wrong size. I paid for medium caramel macchiato, the label on the cup has medium on it and so as my receipt but got a small size instead. I went back and told Agnes. They changed the size however missed the most important part...NO APOLOGY FOR THE MISTAKE and INCONVENIENCE! This is not usual, it 's the way the entire crew practices in this location. They NEVER EVER apologize for their mistake. I 've had a few encounters, that 's how I know. What ever happen to CUSTOMER SERVICE? This totally reflects how management train their employees!?‍ Lesson learned: next time I will check my orders before leaving,The week before, I ordered a breakfast sandwich. After watching the cook clean the counters, he used the same gloves to touch the bread, eggs, bacon and cheese!!! None of them uses cooking utensils when they make their food! How UNSANITARY is that! This type of unsanitary practice is actually reportable to THE BOARD of HEALTH!"

"My husband ordered 6 strawberry frosted donuts and a medium coffee on 11/24/23 at 8:56 am. The employee put 6 donuts in a bag, needless to say, all of the frosting came off because the donuts were all thrown in the bag together. The kids were upset, when I called the store they informed me they were out of small boxes. They told me I could bring back the donuts left for replacement. First off I not going to leave back out of the house the day after Thanksgiving to return maybe the 3 donuts that are left. The Employee knew they didn't have any small boxes and should have used a larger box to avoid this situation in the first place. I will not be returning!"

"I rate this place 4 out of 5 stars because the desserts are really hit or miss. I would say most desserts are above average, some are out of this world, and the rest are not very good at all. I have been here a few times and this is my first review of the place.Let me start by saying there are a lot of tables inside and it gets very crowded after dinner time. There are not many sit-in dessert places on bell blvd so many people come here. You may be inches away from the next table but the seating is comfortable and turnover is quick.This particular time that I went, I ordered a slice of berry pie with ice cream and a slice of triple chocolate mousse cake. The berry pie had a crumb top which was nice and toasty. The berries gave the pie a nice tart flavor while the crumb topping added a nice textural component. The flavors of the pie complemented the scoop of vanilla ice cream. The mix of warm and cold and tart and sweet is just amazing. The triple chocolate mousse is made of a layer of white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate mousse sandwiched in between layers of dark chocolate cake. I typically do not enjoy desserts that are overly chocolately but somehow this cake breaks that rule. All 3 chocolate mousse layers as well as the cake are rich in chocolate flavor without being achingly sweet. I don’t think I could have finished the piece in one sitting but the few bites I had were heavenly."

"My friends and I had dinner at Perkins in Hastings on a Friday evening around 5:30, and we were really impressed with both the food and the service. "While visiting Chicago for a few days, we discovered Honey Berry and were impressed by the exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. Our waitress, Brenna, was attentive and efficient. I enjoyed the country fried steak while my wife indulged in a tasty Belgian waffle. We visited on a Monday morning and were seated immediately. We plan on returning one more time before leaving Chicago, and would definitely come back if we ever find ourselves in the city again. Despite some reviews mentioning it as expensive, we found the prices to be reasonable. In total, we spent just over $100 for two meals, four (alcoholic) drinks, and the tip."

"This place was decent, but nothing impressive or spectacular about it. The coffee was a bit cold upon arrival and there wasn't even a spoon provided, which was kind of an annoyance. Despite that, what I found to be fun was the Back to Bed breakfast sandwich. For this menu item, french toast was used as the bun which, come to think of it, not enough breakfast places do this. I loved the soft custard texture of the bread and how infused it was with the maple syrup and powdered sugar. My initial fear with this menu item was I thought it would've been too sweet, which wasn't the case at all. The egg, cheese, and bacon provided a nice savory balance. As for the breakfast sliders, I was underwhelmed. They were really bland and lacked flavor, so much so I realized how much bread can make or break a sandwich. I mean, the main difference between the sliders and the back to bed was the bread itself, and I drastically liked the french toast sandwich more. Last but not least, I really enjoyed the signature honey berry pancakes. It had a smooth, creamy texture and bright fruity taste, and it easily became the staple of our meal here at HoneyBerry."
