"My family and I have been eating in Pappardelles since 1985 when it was Dantes. We love the food, the friendly waiters and all staff and owners are so friendly. We will continue to make our way out to eat and or to deliver Italian restaurant. Your pasta nights on mon-wed are fantastic and economical. Bethpage had this jewel for a long time. Love, able to go to family friendly neighborhood restaurant."

"We used to eat here when we were growing up in Ridgefield Park many decades ago. Since leaving the area, we have avoided this spot when visiting the area because of mediocre reviews. But in the last 2 years, we have eaten here twice. The salad served family style with the meal is very good. My veal parm was very good once and only ok the second time; it seemed somewhat chewy, but the flavor was good. Shrimp cocktails were good. The lemon sole special was very good. Service on both occasions was pretty good, although on one visit there seemed to be some communication difficulties. For our last visit we were the only table occupied in the small dining room. I recommend this spot but note that the meal will be good but not outstanding. Servings are fairly large. We probably will return on a future visit to the area."

"PJ Sweeney 's has delicious food with large portions for the main entree. Salad did not come with any of the three entrees we ordered...seems like it is extra $s if you want a salad. We choose to get one appetizer (mozz. sticks) and two desserts. So we were full but the dinner check was big . The atmosphere was lively and the service was good."

"We went here over the weekend for my birthday. We got the buffalo spring rolls, clams on the half shell, the pork chop with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes, ribeye with steak fries, creme brule cheesecake and a pineapple martini. The only thing we didnt enjoy were the buffalo chicken spring rolls. Not really the chefs fault though bc we think the chicken was just a bad cut. 2/5 rolls had rubbery chicken. I am still giving this place 5 stars though because 1. Everything else was delicious 2. The service was fantastic and 3. The place really has a nice ambiance. Deff on the list of places to go back to."

"Hosts were not welcoming on arrival. Had to wait to be greeted and then when finally acknowledged I said I made a reservation for 2 for outside dining it was a very lackluster interaction. Our table was also not set when we sat down and we didn't get our silverware till after we had to ask because the food came. The waiter was ok and was pleasant but slow; not very attentive. Not the restaurants fault but was also an obnoxious group eating by us who was cursing and being loud and didn't care that a few families were dining with small children nearby."

"I had called for pick up and the person on the other end of the phone had attitude when taking my order. I then came here to pick up my food when it was ready. When I walked in I greeted the staff, it was like talking to a brick wall because none of them responded back. These people need to humble themselves, the food isn’t all that to begin with. The price of the food doesn’t even match the quality. The food doesn’t even taste like Italian food whatsoever. I’ve bought food from this place for years and wow how things have changed. I also noticed racism from the employees behalf with other customers, very disappointing I will not be coming back to this place! I don’t support businesses that lack professionalism and treat customers poorly."

"The Perigees at this restaurant were once again exceptional. The portion size was very generous and could easily be a meal on its own. It was served with plenty of perfectly cooked onions. I was also impressed with the French fries, which arrived crispy - a rare find when ordering from Door Dash. The chicken sandwich I ordered for my grandson was a hit - he devoured it and said it was excellent. This restaurant consistently delivers top-notch food that is perfectly prepared, with generous portions that justify the cost."

"I used to enjoy this restaurant, but now it's awful. I'm not sure if they have new management or new chefs. The sausage and paprika dish I ordered was poorly prepared and not grilled. The meatball parmigiana had only a small amount of Parmesan cheese, which seemed like they were cutting costs. The penne alla vodka was decent, but I wouldn't risk ordering any more sandwiches from here. I had tried their pizza once before and didn't like it, especially when there are so many other great pizza places in Bayonne. On top of all this, my last order was delivered very late. It's safe to say I won't be ordering from here again."

"An awesome place for events and day to day eating. I visited for a party and was blown away at how amazing this place was. Food was great and the staff was friendly and positively amazing. The bartender was nice and kept up with the flow at the party, which was great. Came back a few days later to eat from the pizzeria and same thing. Everything was tasty and staff, again, were amazing and attentive. A great place If you have a special event or evening a nice date with the spouse or a potential spouse. Highly recommend giving them a try. Also, I love their cauliflower pizza, great for my diet and cravings!"

The new menu features some excellent items, but I always look forward to the Lamb Chops—they're truly unique and hard to find elsewhere. My wife ordered the Hound Marsala, which was plenty to enjoy for at least two meals! We can't wait to return with friends. Despite being very busy, the service was outstanding. It was a wonderful evening. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should!"
