"Came before they close, but everything still tasted really fresh The pad Kee mao taste like spicy drunken noodles. I've said it before. I'll say it again they're not afraid to season their dish. I'm going to nitpick , the pad see ew was fine except that the beef taste a little stale l. No complaints with the basil chicken. The phrik king moo grob is an overdose of flavor. I can't explain it. It was spicy with strong hints of tamarind. Yeah, you definitely need the vegetables to offset the flavor and chase it with rice. Don't get me wrong I would absolutely recommend this dish. It's just not for bland taste. Pricing came out to under $60 for 4 dinner entrees. Hey in East lakeview that's a steal."

"I’ve been coming here for years. Their food is flavorful. I Love the green curry. I normally ask for no spice as they make it pre spiced. Their pad Thai chicken is another one my favorites! I always get mild spice, if you get medium or hot it will equate to the level of hotter sauces at Buffalo Wild Wings to best describe the level of heat. You can always ask for no spice in your pad Thai! I also am in love with their PHO! :"

"I should have known. Alongside I-10 there lives a cluster of bars and restaurants that inhabit a small sorta shared space that attracts those looking for a pleasant afternoon, happy hour and meal. We pulled up today hoping to visit one bar and grille and even though it was early the place was hopping and so we made a fatal decision to move to the least populated one of the group, Ginger Thai. We walked into a huge but empty dining room, without a single patron. The menu was expansive and featured a lot of Thai favorites and so despite the empty room, we decided to give it a go...mistake number 2. We started with appetizers, shrimp and pork egg rolls and an order of spring rolls and the oddities continued to build. The eggroll contents had a yellow tint, a sort of jaundiced look with an underlying hint of curry. Different but not unpleasant. The spring rolls appeared to be standard fare until you dipped them into the accompanying peanut sauce which was strangely thin and sweet. Our server was not as knowledgeable of the menu as one would expect and when I asked if the charcoal grilled pork with vermicelli on the menu was a Vietnamese dish or a Thai version she was rendered speechless but ultimately said probably Vietnamese but they likely added something to it. For our mains we ventured to try a Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and the Charcoal grilled pork. The pad thai was again surprisingly sweet though the fried chicken cutlet was a nice touch. The grilled pork had nice grill marks but lacked marinating and the accompanying fish sauce was cloyingly sweet and appeared to be a strange mashup of duck and fish sauces. The building and decor can use repair and updates as well. Looks like this spot may need some revitalization. Not some place I will revisit."

"Amazing Thailand lives up to its name. My daughter and I had a fantastic lunch at the restaurant yesterday. The dining room was clean and inviting, and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit, and our drink orders were promptly taken. The salads and spring rolls that came with our meal were served quickly and our friendly server made sure we were well taken care of. The dishes we ordered were served hot and looked appetizing. The food was impressive. My daughter loved the Sesame Chicken for its flavorful, not too spicy taste. I tried the Prik Prow (pictured) with chicken and it was amazing. The dish can also be made with beef, pork, tofu, or vegetables, and I had the option to choose the spice level. Our server, who may have been the owner, genuinely cared about our satisfaction with the food and overall experience. The only downside was that we had to drive 23 minutes to get there, but it was well worth the journey. I wish I had discovered Amazing Thailand sooner and will definitely be returning as a regular customer."

"Happy! Very good. Presentation is 5 stars. I've never had Thai food, or I'd give it 5 stars! Friends who always have it and know this place is fantastically recommended. The egg rolls are delicious the SATAY chicken was great, we had orange chicken, Won clay soup and Teriyaki chicken was all fabulous. Very recommended. The price is very reasonable!"

"I love Thai food and have been to many Thai restaurants in Chicago, and this is the #1 on my list. Here are my go-tos: Pad kee mao and Pad see ew This is the dish I’d order at every Thai restaurant I go and a lot of times I just get a sad dish of sloppy and soggy noodles. And I hated it when restaurants use broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli. Not at Aroy Thai! Their rice noodles are well-charred and have a ton of Wok hei which I love. I can feel that caramelization of the sweet and savory sauce. Such a comforting dish. Fried half chicken(forgot the proper name) This is usually on their special section. The chicken is crispy and juicy. There’s also a lot of fried onions on top which makes the dish even better. Crab fried rice Again, cooked with a lot of wok hei. Good portion and decent amount of crab meat in it. I’ve tried several different fried rice and this is my favorite. Papaya salad Their papaya salad is on the sweeter side. And don’t get ambitious with the spice level. I ordered level 3 for the first time and could barely eat it. Now I learned my lesson and go with 1. It still has a kick and the heat would build up in your mouth the longer the chili peppers sit in the sauce."

"Not the best. I love Thai but this place was just OK. The restrooms weren’t the cleanest and unkempt. They had at least 3 Clorox bottles on the floor so maybe the attempt was there. The door was open and only a fan was on. It was a humid day and we felt a bit uncomfortable. My food temperature was a bit colder than I would’ve liked. It was flavorful. My mom’s fried rice tasted a bit too eggy. There were only two people in the restaurant so service was subpar. She refilled our drinks and asked if everything was ok. Portions are spread out on a plate but are smaller than other Thai restaurants. I left no tip. You bringing me a plate of food and refilling my water isn’t a service that is worth tipping. I have had better experiences and I don’t think I will be back or will recommend it . My only thought is that if the bathroom was unkempt, one can only wonder what the kitchen looks like."

"I visited Thai Orchid for the first time after a friend's recommendation, and I was very impressed. The waiter was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions with a smile. I often dine at Thai restaurants, but this time I was looking for a more unique experience, as my friend mentioned that the menu featured some dishes inspired by his home country of Burma. After looking over the menu, I chose the Kao Soi, and it was absolutely delicious! I would describe it as a flavorful curry soup filled with noodles and vegetables—so good! We also ordered some appetizers, including Samosas, which were surprisingly reminiscent of those you’d find in Indian cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, and we were fortunate to have the entire place to ourselves. The waiter was attentive to our needs but also gave us the privacy to chat and catch up."

"The service was prompt and the customer service was outstanding. When we asked for dish recommendations, it was clear that the staff really knew their stuff, as they provided detailed insights into the flavors and preparation of each dish. I'm not sure if this restaurant is a popular spot or not, but in terms of quality, it offered some of the best Thai food I have ever had (and I've been to Thailand). If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant—you won't be disappointed with the food and service!"

"Meal Type: Lunch Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★ The lunch I ordered from this restaurant was fantastic, earning a perfect score for the food. The flavors were delicious, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The service was also excellent; my order was handled efficiently and with a friendly attitude. However, the atmosphere only rates a 3, as it's more suited for takeout than dining in. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a quick and tasty lunch!"

"Most dishes can be vegan they just replace for a ton of tofu, I had the green curry, was amazing and I asked for a side of flat rice noodles that I just added, I could’ve done without all the tofu. They have quite a few option. Servers do not 100% understanding what it means to be vegan but the vegan options are very clearly marked on the menu."
"they forgot to give me my spring rolls that I paid for and I had to drive back the next day after I had it delivered prior and waste my time and gas to go get it. They were rude about making it for me as if they didn’t believe that I didn’t receive it in my order! Said that they won’t give me my money back but that they will remake it for me which is what I wanted in the first place anyways; my spring rolls that I paid for! I got no apology either just rude faces looking at me behind the counter and laughing as I walked out: I won’t be back. Save ur money. There’s a bunch of other Thai spots all around this place"

"Authentic, reasonably priced, wholesome and tasty Thai food with great service in a relaxing atmosphere. We had the Pad Thai with chicken, the green curry with tofu, pad see ew and spicy eggplant. All turned out to be great choices! Spicy level of medium was perfect. Food came out quickly after ordered and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. Will be back if I am in the area again.Tip: Nice seating options available right outside the restaurant in the lounge area which is still inside the building but not exposed to the elements. I would pick that option next time we visit.Vegetarian options: Almost all dishes have multiple protein options include vegetarian option (Tofu)Parking: Decent parking options on the street"

"I’ve experienced issues with consistency when ordering through DoorDash, as they often do not follow my special instructions. My last three orders have all had problems. I loved this place on my first visit years ago, but lately, it hasn’t been the same. They even processed an order for a dish that doesn’t exist, and then there was a platter that I specifically requested without eggs. It seems they’re no longer a vegan-friendly restaurant. This is an update to my previous review from October 1, 2021."

"I was really craving Thai food and I happened to stumble upon this spot! They do have a shortage of staff but the service was perfect. They were all so nice and answered my questions. I got my food relatively quick which granted it was empty but they got it made pretty quick. I always love Thai curry and this was no exception. All in all, I loved everything I tried minus the dumplings which came off a little dry. I would come back just for that curry alone and they seemed to have a nice selection of other amazing items."
