"01 06 23 This is my third visit here. The last couple of times I came it was just okay. When we went in December we had kare kare and pork sisig among other items but that was the only dishes I tried. The kare kare was really good, but I didn't like the poor sisig as much. We went on a Friday that time and they had a band performing and it was crazy busy. We went here again last Friday and it was crazy busy. Nice to see a Filipino establishment busy and being enjoyed by their customers. There was also a band again this day. The employees are very nice and accommodating even when its busy. It may take time but be patient with them since they are working very hard. This time we had tokwa't lechon kawali, bangus sisig, pancit malabon and grilled pork liempo. They were all soo good. I like the bangus sisig more than the pork. My favorite was the appetizer tokwa't lechon kawali. This has fried tofu and pork. The tofu was cooked perfectly. Seems like they air fried it because it was not greasy. I highly recommend for everyone to try this place. You won't be disappointed."

"I can only say wonderful things about this restaurant. I called to see if they could accommodate us at the last minute for my mom's surprise dinner, and Tito Winston, the manager, was incredibly kind! He recommended what we should order and how to set things up, even suggesting that they sing "Happy Birthday" when my mom arrived. The party turned out better than I expected! Even with two other parties happening, they still made sure to set up my mom's banner and balloons. The food was incredible—the crispy pata was perfectly crispy, and my favorite was the bangus sisig! I highly recommend trying their dishes! Despite being busy, the staff and the manager ensured that everything was going smoothly and that we had everything we needed. They even lit candles for my mom and sang "Happy Birthday" once more. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, with live music that added a unique touch. If I had one suggestion, it would be that I wish they could expand; they deserve a larger space with more customers! Overall, their service went above and beyond, and I will definitely be returning!"

"Great food as usual. We visited the city and were only Gerry's in Artesia. Since we were in the mood for Filpino food, we found a Gerry's Grill in Union City. It wasn't disappointed. We ordered the garlic rice, beef Caldareta, Bangus Ala Pobre, Lechon Kawali and beef Kare Kare. Everything cut off with Halo Halo"

"Ordered the Halo Halo. Sadly it did not taste good. The jelly and beans in the bottom of the mix tasted like it’s been sitting in the cup longer than it should. It takes the flavors from the fridge they store it in. We were upset about the lack of effort to make it fresh and it took long just for orders of Halo Halo and small bites. A person went to get water from their black water container and it had a bug in it when the water came out. He was disgusted. That should have been our signal to leave. Vegetarian options: Not clearly labeled. Primary meat dishes some veggie choices. Dietary restrictions: Mainly offering meat dishes. Plenty to choose from. Parking: Small tight space for parking shared with KFC"

"The food here is quite delicious, but it's best if you're already familiar with Filipino cuisine; otherwise, you might struggle to find truly authentic dishes (the Western options aren't the greatest). We enjoyed the pampano sinigang and longganisa, but it was challenging to find anything the kids liked besides plain steamed white rice. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh, and the garlic rice was a standout. While the service isn't the quickest, it's generally acceptable—just don't come if you're in a hurry. We've dined here three times now, and whenever we ordered from the special menu, we were pleased with our selections. I'm looking forward to trying something new on our next visit!"

"Great batchoy! Better if hot. Go for the house specialty. Add sisig chicharon bituka for a champions meal. Karaoke as you dine available upon request. But, don't do it if you're scoring less than 90. BYOB establishment. Free parking available behind restaurant. Otherwise, it's $4/2 hour street parking up to 10 pm on weekdays. Come for the chicken. Stay for the karaoke."

"I had an insatiable craving for Filipino food the other day. So much so that I spent an hour on Yelp trying to find a place to eat. I was scouring the internet to find a place in Central Jersey to eat (I couldn't drive an hour+ away to my favorite... I'm not a madwoman). From the limited choices, I ended up here. The reviews were promising. We ended here during weeknight dinner hours. The space felt a little cavernous and about a quarter of the tables were filled. We got seated right away and got straight to business. We ordered the flavours spring roll (lumpia shanghai), sizzling pork sisig, lechon kawali and a side of garlic rice. It was comfort food heaven. Everything tasted freshly made and reminded me of home cooking. Two things I would recommend. 1) Flavours spring roll were served piping hot but not over fried. Taste was simple but satisfying. It really hits the spot as an appetizer. 2) Sizzling pork sisig. It's like the fajita effect you'll understand. It smells amazing when it comes out of the kitchen and the fatty/savory/slightly citrus piquant taste is wonderful. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Overall, I really liked dining here. Although unlike other Yelpers, I got OK service which is why there is a 4 star rating. We were waiting a while for water and they gave us way too much time with the menu. It's not a deal breaker by any means though. TLDR; a really nice mom and pop restaurant that delivers delicious Filipino food at a good cost. You don't have many options in the CNJ area so you might as well try it."
