"From the start, it was clear that he lacked accountability and any sense of customer service. When I checked my receipt, I noticed that my total was different from my co-workers'. After asking about the discrepancy, he informed me that his system applies a certain percentage for pricing, which made it seem like he was overcharging us.
As I pressed for clarity, he became agitated and began to yell at us, claiming he had given us the wrong menus. He explained that the prices on the to-go menus hadn’t been updated in six months. I felt thoroughly disrespected and uncomfortable due to an error that was clearly his responsibility. He snatched the menus from us and shouted, frustrated that we asked for the correct change based on the prices we were initially shown.
I understand that everyone has off days, but raising your voice in your own establishment over a pricing issue of your own making is simply unprofessional and disrespectful. Because of this experience and the lack of accountability on his part, I will never return to this restaurant; I also cannot recommend it to my colleagues or anyone else. The owner needs to seriously work on their customer service and respect for clients. It's worth noting that we did accept the food after all of this, but in hindsight, I should have returned it and left right after that initial encounter."
