"My recent visit to Roggies for lunch on a Sunday was a pleasant experience. With only four people in the restaurant, the service was excellent. Located near Boston College, Roggies is a sports bar so we didn't have high expectations for a fine dining experience, but we were not disappointed. While the appetizer platter was bland, the Lobster Roll and Pastrami Burger entrees were surprisingly tasty. The breakfast entrees also looked appealing. It's worth noting that Roggies is a college bar with a slight stale beer odor and unstable chairs, so it may not be ideal for a family outing. However, their pizza takeaway option is delicious and worth considering."

"I lived in Taylorville half my life and I have always loved Angelo’s food,service and outstanding dining area. I now live in NY and I make sure that when I get close to my old hometown. My wife is a die hard NY style pizza fan. She said Angelo’s Pizza was amazing. If you get the chance to swing by Angelo’s it’s worth it. Prices are very reasonable and staff were amazing"

"The building inside and out looks nice. We stopped there after seeing a movie at Marcus Theater, after seeing their menus online. When we got there though, that was about the extent of the good. The two bartenders were way more interested in tellingstories to each other rather than paying attention to their people at the bar. Maybe it was just a weird time. We tried askingfor menus but we were either ignored or they didn't hear us for their story. Once we pulled money out to pay for the drinks theywere quick to come over ???? paid and left, got food at Miner Dunn on the way home instead."

"I ordered a medium Juicy Lucy, but it arrived without any toppings, and there wasn't an option to add any when I placed my order. Unfortunately, it was cooked very well done and turned out quite dry. I also ordered a side of potato salad, but they only filled the bottom of the container with about four bites. I spent a lot on just these two items, and I was really disappointed. It wasn’t worth it at all."

"Where do I start? This place is amazing! My husband and I were on the lookout for a light meal for a late lunch while passing through town. As visitors, we stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance. From the outside, it may not look like much, but you'll be pleasantly surprised once you step inside. They have an impressive variety of pizzas, sandwiches, and an extensive display of desserts and baked goods to satisfy any sweet tooth. There’s also plenty of seating available for dining in, including an upstairs party room and patio options. We chose a pimento cheese sandwich and a sweet treat to take with us, and let me tell you, this is not your average pimento cheese—it's outstanding! We will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we find ourselves in North Wilkesboro!"

"We planned our Saturday pre theater dinner for The Common Man Millyard. Everything was terrific. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and kept a table of seven well stocked with beverages and food. Every entree looked and tasted good. We were very pleased. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived, but got busier quickly as our meal progressed. But it is a nice spot for a meal and we were well taken care of. I wouldn't say we are regulars there, but it is one of our family's favorite go to spots for a meal."

"Ferraro's Pizza Review Ferraro's Pizza exceeded all my expectations. I had a pepperoni slice and a pepperoni grandma slice, and both were phenomenal. The pepperoni slice was perfect, with a crispy crust, gooey cheese, and just the right amount of savory pepperoni. The pepperoni grandma slice was equally impressive, featuring a thick, crispy crust with a deliciously fresh tomato sauce and caramelized edges. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Ferraro's Pizza is now my go-to spot for the best pizza in town. Highly recommend!"

"Wow! The Bronzino was one of the best meals I've ever had, even though it didn't come with the head, lol! I love all kinds of fish, but that fillet truly made my day! I also tried the Brooklyn Sicilian dish, and the broccoli rabe was fantastic! The minestrone was excellent as well! And the cheesecake? I hope it’s homemade because I would run a marathon for a slice! Is there anything that’s not good here? I don’t think so! Everything was perfect! Great service too. Thank you!"

"First time “dining” at the 1750 Taphouse…and last time. Waited 30 minutes for table, hostess sat us and waited another 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by waiter. It was busy, so ok…Tried to view beer list using QR code…oops..link is broken. We asked the waiter for a physical list we could view…oops, they don’t have one. He didn’t know all the beers available. So…a “Taphouse” with no way to let you know what’s on tap. Ordered 2 IPA’s from a local brewery…but he didn’t know which one. Hey…always up to try a local mystery brew! Ordered fried pickle app and sipped a decent beer…things were looking up! Before app arrived, placed entree order. Hamburger, medium please, for the hubby, Caesar salad for me. 10 minutes later …the hostess served the entrees…pretty sure I heard the burger mooing. I told her we were waiting for our app, as the waiter came up behind her with pickles in hand. She offered to hold the entrees in the kitchen ….uhm, no, just serve it all now. Medium burger was rare, Caesar salad was ok. Such a disappointing waste of a Friday night."

"The waitress seemed uncertain on how to handle the situation. When we asked for something to clean the table, she handed us a towel that was completely inadequate for the mess. After requesting more, she finally brought us a handful of napkins. We also had to ask someone else to clean up the spilled drink on the floor. A staff member came with a mop, but he didn't seem too happy about it. To add to our frustration, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which I understand for larger parties, but it felt excessive for a group of four adults and three children under six. I've seen spills handled more gracefully at other restaurants, where waitstaff are more proactive in assisting. Here, it felt like they were somewhat hesitant and reluctant to help. We had to repeatedly signal to the waitress when we needed something, and not once did they offer to refill our drinks. There are plenty of pizza places out there, and after this experience, we probably won't be coming back."

"After relocating back to the area a few weeks ago, I visited Sammy's on a Thursday evening with my daughter and grandson. Although Sammy's is no longer in its original downtown spot that I knew so well from the 1970s and early 80s, the pizza is just as delicious as I remembered. It features a thin, crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings. While some of the ambiance from the old location is missing for me, going to this new place evoked wonderful memories of the downtown Sammy's. Overall, we experienced excellent service from a friendly and attentive waitress, and the pizza was fantastic! I will definitely return to try their lunch buffet. This place deserves 5 stars!"
