"Maya Mexican Restaurant in Wilmington is a charming spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. We were greeted right away in Spanish, which my wife speaks fluently (I’m still learning), and we were seated promptly. The chips and salsa were fantastic, with just the right amount of heat in the salsa. My wife and I both ordered tortas: I had the carnitas torta, and she chose the carne asada torta. The carnitas were prepared differently from what I'm used to on the East Coast—fried and slightly drier—but still very delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Mexican food. 5/5!"

"Had a great lunch here, food was delicious and well prepared and the service was fast and friendly. Was looking for a place for lunch and we saw how packed it was as we drove by so we decided to try it. Service was friendly and made great recommendations. We had seafood tacos and the tropical seviche. The tacos were fantastic, breaded and fried fish and shrimp were delicious and the toppings/sauce were right on. I had not had tropical seviche before, and it was awesome! Made with whole shrimp and octopus it had a very... well duh... tropical flavor to it with nice pineapple taste and very different than traditional seviche I have had. The portions were also generous for the price."

Then there is the Happy Hour? or just strolling back to the bar w/ no H.H. , where one of the most hardworking waitresses Shasta I have ever witness serving multiple tables at a time, will welcome you, inform us on the deals and give great recommendations on how we can improve our experience and not costing us more, by starting us out right with a few Margarita?s $5 each , Cadillac $6 each and see photos for add?l costs/savings for food and alcohol beverages. The portion servings especially the ?? ? chicken cheese tacos are plenty and my husband of near 300 lbs gets overfilled with all-u-can-serve chips and salsa w/ one not 2 , but 1 ? ? ? served w/the delicious house Refried Beans and Rice, costing under $20 per person in general. On this particular date 1/31/21 , in addition we had order 4 chicken ? cheese ? tacos ?, beans, rice, chips and salsa. To see what I am talking about see photo the tray of tacos is that of 4 tacos. Highly, Highly Recommended for folks in and outside of Orange County that enjoy Great Tasting Mexican Food, AND for a Great Price!!"

"The customer service was excellent; I really appreciated how attentive our waiter was. He frequently checked in to see if everything was okay, kept our drinks refilled, and demonstrated great manners throughout our meal. He definitely earned a well-deserved tip! As for the food, it was good, and I would likely return. The only downside was the noise level from the music—it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. But, given that it’s a Mexican bar-style place, I suppose that's to be expected. Just be prepared for a hefty bill if you’re planning on having a full course meal! Dinner for two came to $84 plus tip, and we didn’t even order any alcoholic drinks. Nevertheless, my husband left satisfied!"

"This is the Best, freshest Mexican food I've eaten in Palo Alto, Peninsula and South Bay. Definitely underrated! I've been to many restaurants and Lulu's is by far the best. After eating this you can feel your body energized with excellent nutrition. I can't believe how many people give poor reviews that have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of food nor the customer service. I been to this place about a dozen times and every time I visit, Always consistent, fresh and delicious. Erica and the crew are always welcoming and friendly. I worked in the restaurant industry for 25+ years and the service is always impeccable. ? I came in today to buy food for my family whom my sister is at Stanford ICU and Erica was truly compassionate about my sister's well being. I wish there was more people like Erica who love what they do and show care for others in the world. I want to express my gratitude to all of the team and Erica for showing love to my family and delivering the quality of food they produce to keep us healthy. I'll be forever customer for now on! "It's hard not to give this place five stars.The only thing I can say is that this place is very small compared to what I'm used to but that's only because it's close to 450 N.The lady in the front register was very nice and helped me a lot. Maybe it's because I speak really good Spanish but still.They have a really clean, organized layout and the entire place seems very comfy. It's a great place to take friends or go on a date.I really liked their salsa bar. They were very generous with what salsa they offered, everything was easy to find and then even had sauteed onions and grilled chilis.And the FOOOOOD! Is it the best Mexican food that I have ever tasted? No. But it was still REALLY good. They gave me a good size for what I ordered (my whole order was $17) and I can tell that they seasoned and cooked their meat very well. I would rate it 8/10 but only because I have tried 5-star, authentic Mexican food as a kid and I will never hold any other food from a Mexican restaurant higher than my childhood cuisine.Overall, this place is great. I really wish they had more locations so I can go to a Don Chuy's when I'm in Orem."

"This has to be the worst food I’ve ever had! Regrettably, my employer orders lunches from this place. I've tried several menu items, and each one was worse than the previous. I can't understand how they're still operating with food this terrible. The chicken and beef bowls were so unappetizing that they resembled and tasted like vomit. The cheesesteak was revolting and left me feeling ill afterward. Even the western cheeseburger was disappointing—dry, overcooked, and tasted like cardboard drenched in BBQ sauce. How can anyone mess up a burger, especially in a professional setting? It's just disgusting!"

"We used to frequent this restaurant every Friday night, but unfortunately, for three weeks in a row (back in Jan/Feb 2017), I received cold meals. Despite always paying full price, we hoped the next visit would be better. After three weeks of disappointment, we finally spoke with a night manager who offered us a free meal and a gift card to return. Although our entire meal was comped, I left a $25 tip for the waiter. We decided to give the restaurant another chance on Saturday (3/11/17). After a short wait, we enjoyed drinks at the bar and were seated at our favorite table upstairs. Our meal was served perfectly, and we were pleased. However, the owner, Estela, approached me and berated me for complaining about the cold meals. Despite explaining that it was water under the bridge, she continued to raise her voice and accused us of seeking free meals. She continued to verbally attack us, causing a scene in the dining room. Her employees apologized profusely for her behavior, indicating that this was not an isolated incident. We will not be returning to this restaurant until she is no longer the owner."

"Food is dependently good here. I had the crab and shrimp enchiladas (my usual). My husband tried the Mexican seafood chowder, which was out of this world! Unfortunately, the service was horrendous. We were at our table for at least ten minutes before our server came over. Food came out promptly. After that, he disappeared again. He was gone for so long, my husband had to stand up and wave him down. We ordered Fried Ice Cream, which was delicious, but then the server took a long time to come back so we could get the check. We'll go back to the other location like we usually do, as we've never had service issues there."

"I come here because it's close by and I can order online. Especially if I need to have dinner at a certain time because of school events. Just recently we had Back to School night and I needed pick up dinner beforehand so that we could be at school at 5:00p. I ordered online and selected 4:15p for pick-up. When I arrived, they hadn't even started the order. And once they did, it took forever. It wasn't even ready until 4:40p. What is the point of being able to order ahead? This has happened quite often. I keep coming back because I keep hoping it's changed, but it hasn't. Lastly, the service here is very unprofessional. It feels like a bunch kids with attitude running the show. If I could help it, I would not come here ever again. However, the LuLu's every where else is good! Go there instead."

"3.5 stars. It's a bit over priced because it's average. We found this place while searching for dinner places. It's located in a plaza, next to a bar with pool tables. The plaza offers free parking. 5 stars for the employee who was patient and attentive. He answered our questions and when he didn't have the answers, he went to ask the cook and accommodated us. The enchiladas were average. I ordered green and they weren't spicy which I loved. My partner ordered the enchiladas with shredded beef and red sauce. They had more spice than mine but still great for those who like red salsa. My sister ordered the Flautas. She said they were decent. The platter itself looked appetizing. Overall, it's a great place if you are staying nearby and want Mexican food. Is it authentic? That's for you to try and decide since we all have different tastes. My sister who cooks Mexican food said it's decent Mexican food. I don't cook, so I enjoyed it. LOL Also, they have a bathroom, one stall. They have high chairs for kids and a kids menu. Our baby didn't like her taco and preferred the Flautas. The taco was basic."

"I've eaten here quite a few times since the new owners purchased the place. It was pretty good before, it's awesome now.The customer service is out of this world; the owner has personally come to chat with me a few times, and he's a really personable and cool guy.I've had several of their tacos, but specifically this place crushes it on carnitas tacos for me (see first photo); the carnitas are so soft and juicy, and idk what their recipe is but it's the most pork-tasting carnitas I think I've had in a long time, maybe ever. I've also had chorizo and carne asada. I think the chorizo may have been a special that day or something because it's not on the menu every day, very good though. The tacos are pretty big too, I'd say maybe a little above average for the taquerias I've eaten at around SD and LA. Usually I get 2 to 4 tacos.Their salsas are all awesome. Their pickled onions are awesome. Their grilled onions are awesome. Every taco I have tried has been great, and some have been spectacular.Update: had the pastor and carne asada mini tacos yesterday, and both were ??? (see second photo); 5 for $10 taco Tuesday."

"My brother recommended this place to me, but I think this will be my first and last time eating at this restaurant. I tried to place an order for my family using a third-party app called Kaviar. I ordered an enchilada combination plate for $12.99, a carne asada burrito for $13.99, and 3 ground beef crispy tacos. However, when I went to pick up my order, the price had increased from $46 to $65. I questioned the manager about the price difference, and she explained that the prices were higher when ordering directly from the restaurant. I found this confusing, as the prices on the app were cheaper. The tacos I ordered were soggy, but my friend enjoyed his burrito. The chips were stale and lacked salt. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant."

"Need more help, once this place is fully staffed it will be even better, but simple accommodations like where you sit can’t be met because the bartenders are also the wait staff currently. The place is well decorated and higher end for Mexican food. The crowd it draws also seems nice. Loved that there is a senior menu although I am not a senior, I can see my mother in law liking this. "Lulu’s Taco Shop is a spiritual experience wrapped in a tortilla. Five stars without even blinking. The enchiladas? Straight fire. Not like oh this is kinda spicy fire, I mean fire as in you might shed a single tear and reconsider every weak excuse for an enchilada you have ever eaten. The tacos are on a whole different level. Life transforming. One bite in and I started reevaluating my decisions, my job, my place in the universe. These tacos do not play around. They are loaded, perfectly seasoned, and somehow taste like love, chaos, and victory all at once. Even the rice and beans slap. Usually that part is an afterthought, but here it is like the supporting cast came to win an award. Not dry, not bland, just perfectly done. Service? Amazing. "I have been living in California for 18 years, with my husband on weekends we go to different areas and Los Altos is one of my favorites. We had lunch and stayed for coffee. Yesterday we tried this colorful place: The interior is very warm, there is order, the guys from the staff are very attentive and professional. I ordered chips and salsa and two salads and we sat outside on the wide terrace on the street to wait for the order, when I went to get it, what a pleasant surprise: the salads are huge, also delicious. It has many tables with umbrellas, the wifi is powerful and reaches well outside, by the way the key is Burritos =D the atmosphere was calm and the service was fast. It opens at 9:30 a.m. every day and from Sunday to Wednesday it closes at 8:00 a.m. Thursday to Saturday it closes at 8:30 p.m. Surely on my next visit to Los Altos I will return to this place. I highly recommend it. Update: Today we went for the second time for another great lunch with my husband, there were quite a few people in the line before me, finally a very nice guy took my order Lulu chopped Salad al Pastor and Beef Taquitos he told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. As it was a short time I stayed inside the place and noticed that he took orders by phone too and they accumulated until there were so many that the delivery of our lunch took almost 40 minutes. It's a shame because the food is very tasty."
