"TLDR: if you get a refund even if you 're justified they 'll lower the quality of your future orders because restaurants can see your name, phone , and address if you order through a delivery service I have reason to believe that this restaurant intentionally messed up my most recent order because I dared to get a refund on a single item last October. Let me explain. I had ordered from them a couple times through Grubhub, usually getting the traditional red curry with another item golden noodle salad mid af btw refund or not . The first two times the curry was immaculate, with the kind of beef so tender that it falls apart with a single bite. Last October, I decided to order the Burmese milk tea, advertised as coming in a glass bottle and a larger size. While I did receive the drink, it was in a normal plastic cup and was less than I was hoping to get. For that reason, I requested a refund through Grubhub for that one item because I did not get what I was promised. It was almost $10 which is a lot to pay for a single drink. It should 've been left at that, but my subsequent orders have never been the same quality since. The next time I ordered was a week later and both my boyfriend and I noticed the steep drop in quality and even jokingly speculated that it was because I got that refund. Last night, I ordered the red curry with beef, garlic noodles, and the milk tea intending to give this place another try. Simply put, while they technically delivered on what I got, the quality was bad but not so bad that I could reasonably request a refund. I 'll summarize: traditional red curry with beef $17 thick layer of oil 0 heat despite ordering medium spice beef overcooked and very chewy the good curry from before had these tiny bits of meat ? floating around that would add some nice texture but this was completely devoid of it smaller container than before garlic noodles $8 bland as **** like you 'd have to be fucking with someone to make garlic noodles that bad probably because it didn 't come with the garlic flake topping!!! did have the green onion, red onion, and cucumber it 's supposed to come with but leaving the GARLIC out, the literal namesake of the dish, seems intentional to me idk ¯ ツ ¯ had to add salt to make it worth eating Burmese milk tea $5 hella sweet compared to before, actually liked that but it does detract from the uniqueness of the flavor if you told me it was HK milk tea I 'd believe you because it tastes that similar this was what I received when I ordered it the time they messed up so I paid almost ten bucks for a $5 drink lmao In short, the food was pretty good up until I got a refund for something. It 's also not the best Burmese I 've had considering my dad was born and raised in Burma and he put me on but it 's good for a place like Concord. Obviously I won 't support this restaurant again because even if they didn 't mess with my orders, it means the quality has declined. I cannot confirm my admittedly crazy sounding theory unless I dine in but I 'm not looking to give more money to a dishonest business."
